After a morning of shopping, sustenance was in order, and the mild autumn day meant I was keen to dine alfresco. Wandering down pedestrianised Grosse Bockenheimer Strasse, we decided to stop at Das Wirtshaus as they had an available table outside and the prices looked reasonable.

Lunch was in full swing, and it took a while for us to get the waiters attention to order. Service continued to be very slow throughout our meal, but at least it was friendly.

More beer was in order of course - well, we were on holiday in Germany. We accompanied it with some tasty and fattening Breaded Veal and chips/potatoes.
