Talking burgers can quite often evoke and arouse disputations and deliberations among the beef patty cognoscenti on where to go for the best sandwich in town. Iâ¬"ve been prompted a few times that the burgers served at The Ivy and Maze Grill are the best in London. Iâ¬"ve tried the one (AA Gillâ¬"s determinate choice) at the former on two occasions and it was nothing spectacular, soggy and rather slapdash, and as for the latter I think Iâ¬"ll only go there for the steaks. If an equivalent of the Premiership league was suggested for restaurants serving the best burgers in the country then I will not hesitate to say that Haché belongs to one of the "Big Four".

These posh tasting steak haché burgers are indeed bespoke and thankfully they donâ¬"t cost the earth. Wonderful innovations on the burgers are offered from the Atkins friendly version of Steak Au Naturel to the Le Sicilian (with Parma Ham and melted Premium Mozarella Cheese). Pescitarians can also be equally elated with Hachéâ¬"s choices of delicious chunky Cod and Tuna burgers. Both fat and thin (to comply with the French theme) chips are available as sides. The puddings are pretty much accomplished; the delicious Banoffee Pie is gregarious in size so itâ¬"s not entirely applicable to the solo diner and the superior Chocolate Brownies served with Ice Cream are dangerous enough to postpone any imminent diets. The ambience is lively, crowded and the lighting in the dining room annoyingly incandescent. The service in restaurants of this ilk can be hit or miss, so good luck; but donâ¬"t let that get in the way of the food.

To the Casey family who owns this joint, I take me hat off and please do not turn your fine efforts into a GBK, FBC, ABC, or XYZ chain.

Burger was without doubt the best I've come across. Also, I've never had onion rings so good.
We ordered two bowls of chunky chips, had we known how many you get we would have only ordered one.

This place sell beautifully crafted burgers with lashing of chips at around £15 a head.

The only thing is if you are in a rush at lunchtime you will need to allow extra time!

I've been spoilt for Hamburgers lately, there is a place in Blenheim Terrace, St Johns Wood that has a fair stab. High quality beef and bun, mature cheddar etc. They come a close second to Hache.

Ok. So it was a head in hands moment and technically speaking, someone with a name like onovich is more likely to come from (the former) Yugoslavia than from Russia, but I am a bit of a sucka for service with a bit of banter⬦.even if it is in the form of a rubbish joke. For me, this episode sums up my experience of Hache. It is pretty laid back, unassuming, unpretentious etc. The burgers too are ok. I mean, theyâ¬"re not world beaters but theyâ¬"re decent. Itâ¬"s in a sort of simply decorated restaurant. Seating is slouchworthy (this is a word that should exist). Music was good but pretty low so every now and then I caught the sound of some cool track that I hadnâ¬"t heard in a while and then drift off back to my conversation. I was able to have a nice burger, in a pleasant enough atmosphere whilst have a good conversation with a few mates. For me, it is a pretty good option when there is a few of you and you just want to have a chat and some decent food in a relaxed place.

I love this place: decorated with fairy lights and a few potteed plants, cozy, warm, small, intimate space in the front room and a larger space in the back for groups - it's fantastic value for the money.

As a North American I find the prices to eat out here are astronomical. It shocks me to no end when I pay $80 for 2 burgers, a couple of beers and a couple of sides, but then again, this is London and that's the price you pay for living here.

That said, Haché is excellent value for money. Haché in French means ground and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they specialize in burgers. I had the Spanish burger, which came with some roasted red pepper and a gorgeous round of goat's cheese that was almost the size of the bun, and a side of frites. You have the option of chunky fries or proper frites, which are comparable to shoestring cut fries, and they were fantastic here. These are burgers that you don't want to dress with condiments because they are perfect on their own and don't need any extra flavour to beef up the taste (no pun intended!!!).

It's definitely date-worthy, even if it is a burger restaurant; it's romantic and a really cute space to eat at, and the proprietors have spent a lot of time perfecting both the menu and general vibe of the restaurant.

The place is nice enough but the vegetarian food is awful. My vege friend and I went when we desperately needed 'hangover' food. The vege burger was a squished up mess and really overpriced. I'm happy to say that I endorse the existing reviews of Hache - it is indeed a mighty fine eatery. Not quite sure about the best burger I've ever had (i had one in Boston that was spectacular) but it was very good. The ambience was just right for a laid back crowd. Service was spot on and not over-fussy. Price definitely on the reasonable side. Even for a strictly-burger joint there was a good variety - beef, chicken, lamb, fish and veggie burgers are available. I tried the plain 'au naturel' beefburger and the veggie with blue cheese, both of which were nice'n'tasty.

Just doing this review my mouth is watering! With a great variety of beef, chicken and veggie burgers to choose from this place wins hands down in "Spoilt For Choice" category. The Burgers themselves are succulent and well prepared and ten times better then burgers at any of those "gourmet burger" houses/chains and no more expensive. Let me start off by saying that if a guy took me there on a date, he'd be getting some action right about now! That was one of the best casual dining experiences I've had in ages. Hache isn't very big, and is decorated with loads of mirrors to make it seem bigger. They know to keep the music down so you can actually have a conversation, and the crowd there was mainly aged mid 20s to early 30s, casual dress. Hache does pretty much only burgers, but what burgers they are! There are about 6-7 varieties of beef burgers, and 5-7 other chicken or veggie burgers. My friend and I both had the "Steak Au Natural" burger with cheddar cheese, very substantial. I also had their homemade onion rings, good portion size, best onion rings I've ever had to be honest. I finished off with a huge chocolate fudge brownie. Price for dinner for two with gourmet burgers, sides, 2 soft drinks each, desserts and service: only £38!
