Very good restaurant in the fairly upmarket district of St Leonards, Exeter. The Cat in the Hat is certainly on the small side, but the owners have created a warm and friendly restaurant serving excellent food. The chef seems genuinely interested in what his customers think of his creations, which are sourced locally wherever possible. The food is British/ European and the service is very good. The only drawback is that there is not much else in the vicinity, apart from the Mount Radford pub.
