This pub is located just outside Lincoln cathedral. Right at the peak of the oh so aptly named Steep Hill. After the trek up the hill the refreshing and very good quality beers on offer here are a real relief. The food is very decent too, with prices being very palatable.

The downsides are that it often gets full with tourists due to it's proximity to the cathedral and the castle and occasionally the waiting times have been very long. Not to mention the Steep Hill to walk up!

It is a very traditional pub, pretty small and almost maze like in the way it's built on many levels.
