I can honestly recommend this place as i have been several time and have never had a bad experience, The first time i went it was summer so we were placed in the alley way - which doesnt sound good but they have an outside section with outdoor heaters and fairy lights so if you sit out on a nice evening it really does feel like you are on holiday, really really nice ambiance, The food is amazing, especially the warm pitta bread you can get with 4 different types of dips ... most dishes range from £3-£7 so if there are two of you - usually 6 dishes is enough, although if you have a large appitite you could easily have 3. i highly recommend the patatas bravas and the pork kebabs, they are really nice. Judging by the performance of getting a table at Dimitris we should have been in for a fantastic night! Booked a table for four at 8pm on a Saturday well over a week in advance, however needed to add another two guests couple of days later, was told that the only time they could accommodate six would be at 9.30pm after some discussion with the manager during several calls we agreed that we should arrive around 9 and if the table was free then we would be seated. I love this restaurant, it's very friendly and the menu is superb. It's great in the summer when you can sit in the veranda area at the back of the restaurant. Unfriendly staff, average food. Good surroundings, but as our waitress gave our table (that we had booked days in advance) to another customer, and then with no explanation or apology plonked us next to the door, we didn't get to appreciate the ambience very much! I have never felt so unwelcome. Won't be visiting again. If you order the right stuff in here, then you can have a really, really good meal.

The first time I went I ordered the souvlaki, which though quite good was expensive.

The second time I went I ordered from the tapas menu and that was a different story.

The majority of it was excellent - I can particularly recommend the Chorizo Bravas (not very greek, but delicious), sheek, and the steak diablo (generous piece of steak with chili).

Service is also good - a little happhazard, but it does feel family owned.

Also worth a mention is the wine - well one in particular - they have a Chateau Musar on the menu for £13.95 - if you've never tried it, it's a lebanese wine that has loads of rioja like punch. And at the price it is fantastic value.

In summary - order from the tapas menu, sit in the atrium, and order the Musar - and you'll have a fantastic meal.

Established itself as one of Manchesters best Greek and Tapas Restaurants. However, the food is not cheap and can be a little hit and miss. Definately worth a try though.
