Crazy desserts by kranti

Review by kranti

Rating: 3.00
Tags:
I recently ate here as part of a group of 7 people. After a drink in the bar, we went up to eat in the restaurant. The seating was somewhat awkward and not conducive to group of this size. Annoyingly, the waiters bumped into the chairs taking food to other tables and plates back to the kitchen.

The atmosphere is great and relaxed. The service is okay. The good was good, not excellent, in small portions. However, the dessert was the real star and a clear differentiator to other Thai restaurants in London. Might be perfect for a date, not so great for a group booking.

Not just about the bathrooms... by lewiswebb

I've not eaten at the restaurant, so this review can only speak for the downstairs bar. Crazy Bear has opted for a seating-only policy - given the size this isn't such a bad thing, but it does mean that spontaneous visits should be kept for the first half of the week. Attentive staff, eye-catching 20s-esque decor and some of the best mixed drinks in London all add up to a memorable experience whether you go for a quick pre-dinner cocktail (try one of the martinis for size) or settle in for a night.

The service was excellent, with attentive waiters and prompt serving of the food. Drinks were a little pricey, but the food was gorgeous and very well priced. We'll definitely be going back there for more.

The waiting list is testiment to its popularity. Not to be missed is the basement bar and the David Collins-esque designed bathrooms.

Prices are relatively steep in comparison to other restuarants in the vicinity of Goodge Street but having dinner and drinks at Crazy Bear would be considered to be nothing short of a great evening.
