Albion is a great looking café/restaurant/shop connected to the new Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch. It has a gourmet food shop at the front, and a bright and welcoming dining area at the rear with an open kitchen.

Arriving at Albion on a Sunday at midday I was happily surprised to see only a very short queue for tables, which cleared almost immediately. We were handed breakfast menus (it seemed that lunch service began at 1pm) which was fine by us.

Kelly ordered Poached Eggs on toast (the eggs were slightly overcooked), and I had the Albion Breakfast, which came with eggs, bacon (streaky or back), baked beans, roasted tomato, sausage, mushrooms, and black pudding. I threw the black pudding and sausage Kelly's direction, and shoved the mushrooms (which I had asked not to be included) to the side.
