What a lovely addition to Chiswick ,this is by far the most beautiful persian restaurant in London,the food was delicious,the service spot on and the restaurant felt warm and well coming.

Chella has been open on what was the Gravy site for a few weeks now and I have been meaning to try it and finally did so last night.

It has been decorated in muted shades and the use of candles and mirrors make it both comfortable and stylish.

The food, as you would expect, is Persian so a lot of chicken and lamb complemented by a choice of fish dishes. To start with we had Aubergines with walnut, cucumber with yoghurt and a dish of chickpeas - all were served with freshly baked bread and were eagerly consumed. Mains were lamb with rice, a whole poussin and salmon, all served with light and fragrant rice - again, they were delicious.

Service, after an initial confusion about our booking, was friendly and efficient. The owner/manager seems genuinely to want his customers to enjoy themselves.

It's licensed, and there is a reasonable wine list.

It's a good addition to the local restaurant scene and the fact that it was almost full underlines this.
