I had a fantastic lunch at the Mango Lounge in Windsor yesterday. They closed at 2:30pm but left us to sit happily until gone 5 drinking coffee and chatting and even offered us a free drink at the end.
The food was well presented and very tastey. I opted for one of their Thai dishes and my friend had an Indian curry.
I'd recomend the Thai curry and the Thai fishcakes.

I have to say, i haven't experienced the jazz nights - do they still do them? Don't know. I also don't know whether they have changed the chef's here. When we first started going we used to get loads of food, especially with the breakfasts. They were delicious! I always had the eggs and pancetta. However for quite a while now, the portion sizes have been vastly reduced, ridiculously so and yet the prices haven't reduced either. I don't see the point in paying Â£6 for a breakfast which leaves you hungry! The coffee is really nice though however issues with the food mean i'm not going back.I have to say, i haven't experienced the jazz nights - do they still do them? Don't know. I have to say that i agree with kittendothroar. I had heard lots of people raving about the British Raj, saying it was fantastic, that the food was delicious and the service amazing. I don't know whether it was an off night when i went, but i didn't experience something that wonderful. Don't get me wrong, its not too bad, its just that its not that good either. The service was a little slow, and not overly friendly. The menu does have all the usual indian meals and there is lots of choice though. Vegetarians are well catered for with indian food. The food tasted ok, nothing more, just ok. Prices were a little expensive for my likingI have to say that i agree with kittendothroar. If there is one thing that will ruin an evening for me, its terrible service. Unfortunately , bad service is where Don Beni excels and exceeds anything you have experienced in the past. You feel uncomfortable when you enter due to the way the staff look you up and down and once you are eventually seated, you have an age to wait for a drink and even longer for your meal. The food here is ok, pizzas not too bad, hence the two stars instead of one. The menu is traditional italian so the usual meals and dishes are on offer. Prices are way too expensive for the experience you will have here. I wish i could say this is an isolated incident but i have been here three times and it has always been the same. I have to agree with Lotte32, the service here isn't good, in fact i really don't like it! I have been here a few times with my partner and friends and the staff seem to take exception to large groups. Even when we can here with just the two of us, the staff have a tendency to ignore the customers! Service is slow and not good when ordering food either. However the menu itself is good and when the food does arrive, it is delicious and cooked perfectly. The isn't a huge quantity, but the quality is good. My partner is a bit of a snob. For years and years she refused to go to a harvester, saying all it sold was processed food and likened it to the beefeater (bleargh!). However, one saturday she was so hungry and i refused to take her anywhere but here so she had no choice! Luckily for me, she loved it. I can now laugh at her for something else! The menu here has lots of choices and they are geared up perfectly for children. Lots of things to keep them entertained. The food is plentiful and cooked perfectly. The service is also quick and efficient and the prices are cheap which is even better!My partner is a bit of a snob. I absolutely love cafe rouge, but for many many different reasons! Firstly, the location of this one is amazing set in the station. The decor, although adorned with the usual chain decorations, is still gorgeous. The staff here are also excellent and so is the service they deliver. They are very welcoming, polite and friendly and you never have to wait very long before being served. There is also no issue whatever you order, whether it be just a drink, just a coffee or one of every cake they sell! The food here is delicious and they do an amazing breakfast. Wagamamas is a bit of a bizarre experience for the uninitiated, most high street restaurants don't seat you on long picnic benches next to complete strangers and don't write on your place mat! However thats what is to be expected at this chain of restaurants. The big difference with the Windsor one and others is that you seem to get more space even on the benches as there are gaps between them. The food however is great and there is a massive choice, as long as you like noodles and rice you will be fine. I can recommend the chicken curry, its delicious. When i lived in kent, we had a bella italia in town and its where my partner and i spent most of our times together when we were first dating. As a result it has always held special memories for me. Unfortunately that closed down a few years ago and we missed it terribly. So when we moved here, and found a bella italia right on our doorsteps, we couldn't wait to try it. I have to say, this one is even better than the old one. The atmosphere is so much more romantic and the food even more delicious. I've been coming here for a while too, and have always had a really good time, in fact its usually a fantastic time! As you walk in, the friendliness of the place just surrounds you and it makes you never want to leave! The staff here are so warm, friendly and welcoming and they certainly have personalities! Once you have been a few times it seems as though they class you as friends and the service they give is fantastic. Menu choices are also great and everyone will find something they will like. The food tastes amazing and you get a large quantityI've been coming here for a while too, and have always had a really good time, in fact its usually a fantastic time! This really is a fantastic italian. The food here is amazing and the service is also fantastic! It really is! The ambiance here is one of romance and is so cosy. Yet there is a definite edge of sophistication about the place. The menu choices are traditionally italian and the menu is quite diverse. Vegetarians may be a little disappointed yet you will always manage to find something to eat which you will enjoy. The serving staff are fabulous and are really helpful. prices are about average for this type of restaurant in an area like this. The quality of food is also fantastic and totally deliciousThis really is a fantastic italian. The food here is amazing and the service is also fantastic! It really is! This is a fantastic indian, in fact its possibly my favourite! I love it here. The ambiance of the place is fantastic and really comforting. The staff are also so friendly and will do anything to make your night memorable. The menu is diverse, as most indian menu's are, and has a massive choice for all tastes. There is even a good selection for vegetarians. The food here is cooked perfectly and you get a large amount for your money, which, is not a lot as they are really quite cheap. We have been here a couple of times and had a great time. The last time it was great weather so we could sit outside, which was gorgeous, and gave you a whole feel of the continental lifestyle!
I had the seabass and it was awesome. The fish otpions were varied which makes a change.
We had a couple of bottles of the chateau neuf de pape and I would really recommend this as a good price and an excellent wine.
The service was good. I noticed in the previous reviews they said it was packed with younger people on their way out for a night, this is true, but the bar area is seperate to the dining room, so if you are going for dinner, don't let this put you off.
Some friends of mine went there on a first date, which I always think is a good testament, the right mix of atmosphere but quite enough to talk!We have been here a couple of times and had a great time. Rating: 5.00The Bells Of Ouzeley is a great location, overlooking the River Thames at Old Windsor, where you can watch the boats go by as you eat your meal. There's plenty of tables outside if you would prefer to eat alfresco.

This is one of the busiest Harvesters I know, so at busy times be prepared to wait for a table. The service is excellent, with the staff friendly and attentive.

However it's trusty and right near to other places we go out, and there's not a lot more you can ask for than that! It's also one of the few places in Windsor that doesn't ask for a minimum age of 21 which was always a pro in my book and definitely a positive for younger visitors!
