Angelo's is not somewhere I would have thought to go from first impressions, but is definitely somewhere I will keep going back to. The food is delicious; traditional Italian and generous portion sizes! I can recommend the risotto or the sausage pasta, and I have heard the calzone is exceptional (and very impressive looking).

Every time I have been to Angelo's there is a lovely atmosphere - the staff are very friendly (to the point where we have a chat when I walk past the restaurant during the day) and there is normally a nice mix of couples having a romantic evening and families taking the kids out. To top it all off, the food is exceptionally good value - 2 courses each with 2 bottles of wine worked out to be Â£13 each between 4.

I really like this place, small, friendly, lovely atmosphere.

I love different styles of massage, so when I fancy a Chinese massage (which at times can be painful) I go here.

I pay Â£45 for a 1 hour massage, which I feel is good value for money considering so much effort and energy goes into it. I am a massage therapist myself, so I know my stuff!

This is a fabulous pet shop, actually it's more of a designer boutique. They don't actually sell any animals but they have a fantastic range of collars and leads, coats, jumpers, holistic food like the award winning Orijen and the organic range of cat and dog food from Lily's Kitchen. Also pet carriers, pet beds, toys, ID tags, and the incredible bed/carrier from the US the Sleepypod. Also the people who run it are really funny and make the whole experience fantastic. Rating: 5.00Had the pleasure of dining at TT many times over the course of the last decade and can honestly say that I've never had a duff meal.

If you like your curry house to be traditional (pictures of tigers on the wall etc), this is the place to go. The service is good and the fact that the staff know so many of the customers when they walk in speaks volumes for the quality of the grub.

Try the Lamb Jaflong if you're feeling brave...

I hired half the bar for my engagement party over the weekend and found the management to be very very welcoming (nothing was too much trouble), the drinks reasonably priced with a good selection, and the atmosphere buzzing. I gather they are not a particularly busy pub usually, but there were approx 85 guests at the party and the staff coped very well. I was able to set up a tab and we were allowed to bring a table full of food ourselves. I did not eat here, but one of my guests had steak and it looked absolutely delicious. Meals on the blackboard were approx Â£6.95 and I am planning to go and sample!

Fresh strawberries in my Bellini cocktail with champagne (or sparkling wine) - divine drink. Delicious bread with poppyseeds provided to wipe up a large plate of oil was good. However, I don't like five other people dipping bread they've chewed in 'my' oil. For a table of six I'd prefer two smaller plates of oil - that would halve the germs you're sharing and limit the chance or spreading swine flu from five to two. Better still give a tiny saucer of oil for each person.
My main course of fried duck - sounds less healthy than oven roast but it was as soft as steak, fillet steak.
Two of the men chose the steak but they were not as thrilled as I was. If you choose steak in an Italian restaurant - no comment.
The menu changes regularly and the desserts we had were not those in Sue's pictures. I opted for chocolate dessert with raspberries and others liked it. I preferred the other choice of almond torte (higher than a tart, more like a one level sponge cake) - very almondy, lovely.
My left side companion asked for peppermint tea which came up in a small jug containing fresh mint leaves (the proof is in my picture). She had enough for half a cup for each of us. I had already asked for a single espresso which was served with brown sugar lumps.
If you are wondering about budget, the prosecco wine at Â£25 a bottle was the same price as most of their whites and roses. But you could look for the one rose wine which cost Â£19. I thought the real strawberry cocktail was good value, better than a bottle of wine which anybody can buy cheaper in a supermarket and they go to the trouble of mixing it.

Service
It's a family owned business, just the one branch. The male server was unsmiling and could not suggest anything to suit a ten-year-old girl who wanted plain food. However, he called a young woman who was bright and jolly and suggested the pasta in tomato sauce. Staff obviously don't normally expect to vary the menu nor to cater for guests to bring children, even parents off the plane at Heathrow, bringing well-behaved shy, sleepy, jet-lagged offspring.

Ambience
Understated but elegant surroundings and well-dressed, well-spoken people, women with model girl and bride's mother hair dos. After pubs where patrons use four-letter words, it's a pleasant change to feel like you're invited to a Buckingham Palace party.
I agree with Sue about the noise - it was hard to hear everybody at the opposite side of a large round table - it was even a struggle, whilst talking to the person on my left, to try to overhear the conversation on my right.
Size - weird! The back room extension is larger and appears more spacious because of mirrors. These create a strange optical illusion. Looking in the left mirror I could see a bookshelf. Looking right, no bookshelves! Where were they? The left mirror was reflecting the right mirror which reflected bookshelves hidden beyond the room divider in front of the kitchen door.

Location
From North West London, drive south from Heathrow through Feltenham past Marble Hill House and the restaurant is just near the bridge across the Thames. At night you can drive across and see the illuminated White Cross Inn and more shops.
A Cena has a modest double shop front (a local friend had passed it many times and never noticed it) but it stretches back. A find. We chose it because of the great customer reviews on the internet. Hurray!Food & Drink

June 6th Called in a morning and confirmed reservation in the Grill Room for 7pm. Only on arrival to find out due to slower volumes restaurant was closed? The sign on the door directs you to Ma Cuisine which was to serve the Grill Room menu (three restaurants side by side all owned by same person) however they would not offer the Grill Room menu. Since we all came from different dirctions we were "stuck". Food was average at best just like the service. However the bill for 3 people of Â£195 was extremely high and not worth it!

I would strongly receommend you get a 100% guarantee that your reservation is in the Grill Room and as it is run by the same owners as Ma Cuisine...you take your chances...I am not going to try again that is for sure!

Worst Restaurant I have been in 40 years!!!!

Rude serice, average food.

I went with some local friends, we have a very large combined income and were impecably behaved yet were asked to leave before a group of swearing, uncouth rugby fans from the North who are unlikely to eat there again, but then again neither are we. Their huge loss, and I shall make sure that people I know from the local area will not go here, the food is incredibly average. Go somewhere else!!!!! this would have no starsWorst Restaurant I have been in 40 years!!!!

I was introduced to this little place by some locals who visit nearly everyday and never tire of the coffee and cakes here. The staff are always friendly and will even make up something fresh for you if you have a particular craving for something not on the menu. I recommend the pasta dishes- especially the ravioli which is always stunningly simple but full of flavour. Coffee is very good and the fresh orange juice makes you feel like you must have had at least 2 of your portions of fruit and veg for the day! This is the perfect place to read the papers or meet with friends over good food and good coffee. Just spent an evening at Pincho and will not be going back.

We decided to start the evening with a glass of Champagne, the owner was serving us and he promised us he would open up a fresh bottle, and at nearly Â£10 a glass we thought it was a fair request. So we decided that we fancied another glass, we thought we'd go all out and have the rest of the bottle. After some fluffing about, the owner returned red faced, he had lied to us and had not opened a fresh bottle for us in the first place!

Anyway... I then found a hair in the aubergine and mozarella dish, a long one.

We then discovered the chicken skewers were half cooked, this was found out whilst eating it as it's so dimly lit inside the restaurant!! We felt like we were going to be sick at that stage.

They need to strongly think about changing the chef and stop lying to their customers. At one stage we were the only customers in the restaurant, so it was not as if the kitchen was busy.

Not recommended, unless you fancy salmonella!

If there is one thing you are assured of when you visit Spice Of India it is a warm welcome, professional service and a friendly atmosphere. You always feel that you are being treated as someone special and lets face it we all like to feel special don't we?

It has had a few names (Taste Of Raj being the last one) over the years and has had some facelifts along the way, but unfortunately the internal decoration is quite stereotypical and cheesy, rather than modern and contemporary - you wouldn't want the decorator to do the coving or plasterwork in your living room. It's not the sort of venue if you want privacy either, everything is very open and little too close together.

As for the food itself, it always appears very fresh and hot. There are a wide variety of dishes to choose from, however I do find that the chef is very fond of his coconut (I have found it in a suprising number of dishes, some you wouldn't expect to find it in - not noticably at least) and not fond enough of his spices - too many dishes lack that little something that would take them to the next level. The strongest dish on the menu I would suggest is probably the sizzling tikka's served from a cast iron dish.

It is a very popular restaurant in the Whitton area, so it is often wise to book a table. The staff are very accomodating to your needs, all you have to do is ask.

As an added bonus it does do takeways with a 10% discount, it also does a cheap buffet on Sundays - if you fancy a curry on a Sunday. The only Italian restaurant in Whitton and thank god it's a good one! It is located slap bang in the middle of the High Street, with a bus stop located virtually outside the door and the overland a couple of minutes walk.

The menu is standard Italian fair, comfort food prepared using fresh ingredients of good quality which is obvious in the taste of the food. There is a good range of pasta and pizza and for those who don't want either there are some good salads and traditional meat/poultry dishes. They also do a mean risotto. For me, the pizzas and pasta are both so good it is difficult to choose which way to go. Portion sizes are large - you would struggle to eat three courses in here and many of the mains would happily feed two people.

Service is very good, friendly, speedy and efficent. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, although it can sometimes get a little loud.

Portion sizes are large - you would struggle to eat three courses in here and many of the mains would happily feed two people.

Service is very good, friendly, speedy and efficent. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, although it can sometimes get a little loud.

Pricing is cheap; four of us have eaten two courses each including drinks and coffees for just over Â£65. Bargain.

You know when you get a pizza craving and order a delivery and it's like a soggy circular teatowel covered in nasty tomato puree? Well, Village is the answer. We've tried 'em all, and theirs are the best (promise I don't work for them). They have a seriously long menu with lots of unusual options but the crusts are thin and crispy, the toppings generous, and the cheese always the right melty, slightly toasted texture. Yum. I haven't eaten there - not sure you actually can, in fact - and I know they recently moved and we thought they'd closed down until they reappeared. Hoorah. Brula is a very nice restaurant serving excellent French cuisine. The restaurant is located in St. Margarets on Crown Road, which is not a location you would expect a great restaurant, and it is not that huge, but is surprisingly tasty, it is probably the best French restaurant in Twickenham. It is a great place for a nice meal out, and its steaks are very tasty indeed. And it is pretty reasonably priced unlike some overpriced restaurants in Twickenham which are not even that good. If you are looking for a French meal in Twickenham then I would definitely recommend this.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Twickenham was Pallavi in central Twickenham but that has unfortunately recently closed down much to my surprise. Taste of Mogul, though not as good, is a fair substitute. It has a wide selection on its menu, from not so spicy to very spicy, there is something for everyone. Although I have classified this place under Pub/Bar it has a dining room that is hip & modern. You do not need to dress up to eat there - as it is pretty casual. I would recommend the surf & turf where the steak is cooked to how you requested it. The meals are so well presented and the taste goes with the presentation. The food is absolutely tasty and if you want to pay less they have a promotion night - on Monday evenings you pay only 50% off your bill (this does not include drinks I am afraid). Already the food is reasonably priced and to make it even more pleasant 50% cheaper makes everything even better - I am sure you will agree. I have become a regular there whether we want drinks only at the pub area or even for a meal. It really is a pleasant place to go to chill out. Usually it is 30% full with tv screen strategically placed (with sports of course showing - like all pubs). Rugby match days it can get very noisy. Please note the pub cum restaurant is actually right next to the rail tracks which should be easy to find but not a hindrance at all. In fact we hardly notice the trains when they go by. There is a great selection of food including an absolutely delicious hamburger to die for. They have a house speciality - ale and beef pie - which is highly recommended. On the other hand you can go for the spicy prawns with puy lentils... absolutely lovely. All I can say is this place is pretty under-rated and you get many regulars that frequent the dining room for it good value & ambience. I understand that they now have another promotion in the dining room which is 2 courses for Â£15 on Tuesdays which I intend to try out soon.
