Had a wonderful meal last night - food and service were exceptional. Had a bit of a wait between starter and main course - although we weren't in a rush so no problem but were instantly offered all of our drinks free!
The restaurant was really busy for a Wednesday night which I guess meant that other people have discovered this great restaurant too. Can't wait to go back!

Tide Tables is an absolutely lovely place for lunch or snacks, particularly in summer when you can sit out by the river. The food is delicious and all vegetarian, and there is always a wide range of food and cakes to choose from. It can get quite busy, but the staff always seem to manage so the wait is not too long. Three botched attempts by New Stitches at alterations to a brand new coat from House of Fraser has left the sleeves uneven, a ball point pen mark on the sleeve front (and their dry cleaner damaged the fabric trying to remove) and two front buttons chipped. What should have been a straightforward exercise turned into a nightmare - for which they charged Â£30 and have ruined the coat. We are in the process of suing them. Hired the upstairs room at the hope for a birthday party last saturday and it really was fabulous - the room itself has loads of character and the staff went the extra mile to make it a special night.
Great food and our very own friendly bar staff - they discussed in detail the type of food we wanted to serve. I went for bite size mexican style nibbles (i'm a mexican food freak...) and they went down a storm.

Definitely recommended for a party or other event. Also been several times just for a drink and it's always a chilled atmosphere and a place to feel at home in.

We've had to use this branch of Sainsbury's while our usual supermarket is being renovated. What a dump! Its a huge barn, so its a long trek even to get a few things, not helped by the fact that many of the signs hanging from the roof don't correspond to what's on the shelves beneath. large chav element among clientele, so expect to see lots of kids getting hit/sworn at etc. My main beef is that there are never enough tills open so it takes ages to get out & due to the store's poor layout, you're getting bumped into all the time you're waiting in line. We'd been here before and it was fine, so decided on a re-visit - but this time it was terrible and we won't be going back. When we ordered we were told that we would have to wait 25 minutes for our food, even though all we wanted was some scones, cake and sandwiches. In fact the tea came in 25 minutes and the food came 25 minutes after that. When the food arrived the bread in the sandwiches was hard and the salmon tasted as if it was off. The cake we ordered turned out to be nothing more than a sliver. And of course, we had finished our tea by this time.

There are plenty of staff, so it's puzzling as to why the waiting times are so long. The Cricketers pub is on 2 floors overlooking Richmond Green. It serves food which is tasty and not overpriced. The pub all round has a nice friendly atmosphere. It does not tend to attract the young and lively or larger lout clientele which many pubs in Richmond get infested with at weekends. In my opinion it is the best pub around Richmond Green. The Princes Head is a conventional English pub that lacks comfort. It is split into 2 areas one that shows television and the other area is a lot quieter. There serve cask ales and there is a basic food menu which is reasonably priced. the service is friendly and efficient. The White Cross is a real gem of a find. Located right on the River Thames and only a stones throw from Richmond Bridge. A real pub that has not been spoilt with sky television or loud music. excellent beer and a reasonable choice of wines.The ambiance is really friendly and the views are lovely.The food is very tasty and non overpriced. One word of warning on a hot summer evening it a place to avoid as it gets over crowded and the pub had a strict policy of issuing plastic glasses if you want to drink outside in the courtyard. also on such occasions there is usually a long queue at the bar. The New Inn is located midway between Kingston and Richmond on the picturesque Ham Common. Ham House is only a short distance away.The pub is very traditional without loud music or television. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed with a nice ambiance. The customers are couples or small groups in the main being in 30 plus age group. The staff are friendly but on our visit the clothes sense is a tad scruffy old polo shirt and jeans. The food is either from a pre printed menu or the specials board. I've been to lots of pubs around the country but find this one particularly welcoming with comfortable relaxed surroundings. This is easily the best pub on Richmond Hill and possibly in Richmond? We booked a table at the Duke in Richmond for 16 people one evening. The service we received I can quite frankly say is the worst service I have ever received. We sat down at our table around 8.15pm. By 9.15pm we still had No drinks and no attempt to take any drinks orders. Eventually I took our orders and attempted to go up to the bar and ordered 6 bottles of wine. I even volunteered to take the wine back over myself but was told to sit down. We eventually got two bottles of red brought over.... and that was it. It took another 20 minutes to get the rest of it. There was no offer of bread/olives whilst we waited. I've never heard of a pub that fails to serve its customers drinks! Food orders were taken about an hour after sitting down and we eventually got our starters at 09:50pm and our main courses probably about 10.20pm or so. One of the main courses was completely inedible - couldn't get the fork through the chips they were that hard! Towards the end of the email we had some Irish coffees. Whoever made them has no idea, any taste of the whiskey had entirely evaporated. And then, they attempted to charge us 12.5% for service when the bill came! A very disappointing evening and service by a place that generally seemed to have good reviews. My recommendation is don't go to this place - our evening was ruined, we were all starving and very thirsty for most of the evening! I'm amazed at the comments on Swagat by Mr Pietersen. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but its simply untrue to say beers cost Â£5! We had a very good meal - not the best Indian I've ever had, but I'd happily eat there again. We cook a lot of Indian food at home so do know our spices etc. Recommend the chicken in fenugreek!I'm amazed at the comments on Swagat by Mr Pietersen. Sadly portion size dissapoints greatly.My choice from the specials menu of a mozzerella and butternut squash pie consisted of a saucer size dish containing a couple of tablespoons of sauce and covered by a puff pastry lid and cost a whopping £8.95.Accompanying this was a dessert spoon of spinach and 5 slices of sweet potato.
The heart just simply sinks when presented with such an ill conceived dish.
My companions meal was an equal dissapointment;Steak was accompanied by a mere handful of chips,a single slice of tomato and one lone mushroom!

I am partial to the occasional Moroccan meal, and when I spied a new Moroccan restaurant opening close to home it was only a matter of time before we gave it a try.

Located a short walk from Kew Gardens station, Tagine is authentically and tastefully decorated, and service the evening we dined was very friendly and welcoming. While not the greatest Moroccan food I have tried, we enjoyed our meal - thought the flavours and quality of ingredients were good, and would certainly return again.

To eat we started with the Pastilla filled with chicken, almond & honey, which was perfectly crispy and not too sweet. We also had a serve of the Zaalouk - Aubergine with tomatoes and cumin, served with bread, which was nice but I found it a bit too 'fridge' cold. For main course we ordered one of the two Lamb Tagines on the menu (the Lamb Shank Tagine with dates & almonds), but we were actually served the Lamb Tagine with sweet prunes, broad beans & egg. We didn't bother saying anything as we had almost ordered this dish anyway and it looked good. The tagine came with a side of Couscous, and we ordered additional sides of Sauteed Potatoes and Okra. Went here recently on a Saturday night. No booking so appreciated the manager fitting us in after 40 mins but sadly soon wished we hadn't bothered.

The food was mediocre - steak overcooked and there were no condiments - at all. We were offered mustard salad dressing with our dry steak as there was no mustard/mayo/ketchup in the house. Wine was overpriced for what it was.

Asked four times for a jug of water and still forgotten.

Strada should offer better but sadly doesn't and this is the third time I've been let down by different branches of the chain. But they don't seem to care and make little effort to encourage customer loyalty.

I have learned my lesson and will not eat here again in any of its locations.

Ok the service wasnt fntastic, the ambience was chilled and quiet but the food was absolutely a 10/10.

We were a group of 10 people and we had the opportunity to try the mixed starters. A few vegitable dishes and a spread of kebabs.

The meat was so so soft. The Ribs were fantastic and the chicken so tasty. I have to say we were all very pleased. The prices are about right for what your eating. Its all meat and chicken and fresh vegitables all marinaded and spiced up to give a very autentic Turkish taste.

This place is great!!

We reccommend you try it out.

I will be going back for birthdays and taking my kids next time as the food is so fresh and tasty it would be a shame for all my 6 children to not taste.
