The Crowne is situated next door to the Premier Inn and represents the other end of the market and 50% higher price.

For that you get a very secure car park, good location, an excellent restaurant, free papers, pool, gym and spa.

The rooms are well sized and very comfortable. They include a good sized desk, internet access and leather chair in case you have work to do when you arrive.

If you want somewhere that has been recently refurbished, is well located, a fair size car park,is clean and well priced for Reading then the Holiday Inn ticks the boxes.

However, not that room service and a restaurant are not available. There is, however, good local choice to eat out.

Very expensive, poor decoration, badly stained carpet, very tiny room 10feet square, minus space occupied by very tiny toilet/shower room, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DOUBLE ROOM Â£69+ for single occupancy !! Very basic "Full English" consisting of cheapest non-brands available. Faulty T.V. freeview remote. Altogether "unforgettable" experience and one I wont be repeating.
