After buying Pizza at Figaro's I could never go back to paying for the overpriced, low quality pizzas that I was used to buying from the pizza chains in Norwich. Especially my local chain store with it's regular offer of buy one nasty, cheap tasting pizza, and get an equally horrid one free, offers.

Figaro's is everything that these chains are not. You can just taste the difference in quality from the first bite. I only found out about the place relatively recently. My friend popped in there with a bunch of work friends late one night purely by accident. He told me about it and we popped back.

I had a fish pizza which was amazing. I can't remember the name of it but it had tuna, salmon and baby clams on it. It cost me half the price that I would have normally have paid at my local chain store but the pizza was far tastier.

Admittedly, It was slightly smaller than the kind you would get in a box from a chain but I'm not the type of person who choses to stuff my face with rubbish food at the cost of taste. The quality and taste more than makes up for an inch or two lost in size.

The service is also fantastic. The waiter comes over to your table with a giant pepper grinder and adds some to your pizza if you would like it.

I would much rather walk into the city and buy a pizza from Figaro's than ever buy from my local again. I hope I can persuade my friends and family to go to Figaro's to because I want them to experience this wonderful restaurant so they don't ever have to eat second rate chain pizza ever again either.

It's not been too busy on the two occasions I have visited so far but I can imagine it might be very popular in the evenings. I don't know if you have to book either as I have just popped in for a table and there has always been one free so far.

I had a wonderful evening at sukhothai with my husband and in laws. I chose to visit the restaurant after reading so many good reviews and feared it would have been an anti climax... far from it. Divine food, exceptional attentitive service and warming atmosphere. I am a strict vegetarian and the choice for veggies is endless. Child unfriendly and cramped. The staff were extremely rude and racist too. We were a group of four with a child two years old. The manageress first threatened to seat us at a cramped table downstairs with about 15 other people crowded around us. Then asked us to go upstairs. When we did and had just started to settle down at a table, she came up and said we would have to go down as the staff couldnt be bothered to climb upstairs to serve us! As we started to go down, a white couple came up and was promptly welcomed with a smile by said manageress and asked to take a table in the same section that we were being asked to leave. Freezing cold night - table in direct draught every time the door was opened. Food very ordinary - soup obviously microwaved. Inferior steak, dry pasta. Wine horrendously overpriced. Have just got back from a meal from lucky star and can honestly say it was the worse buffett style restaurant that I have been to. The plates where cold, the food was cold, not enough choice of foods and I observed the waiters putting new food on top of the old food and not rotating. Was extremly put off and did not return for a 2nd plate full. very dissapointingWould have liked to have given this no stars but there was not an option for this. nandos is what it is.

chicken and....well a few bits n pieces.

i get the peri chips and lemon and herb chicken. youl spend less than a Â£10 and i think the foods really nice

i love this place....anything you didnt think went on a waffle is on the menu here...try the currys!

What a letdown - Cinema City, now that it's been lavishly refurbished, has a great cinema and a funky looking bar. It all looks so cutting edge that it's easy to be enticed into the airy covered courtyard for lunch, but the price you'll pay for lounging around looking cool is sullen service and mediocre food.
The bar staff seem to think of their customers as a pesky interference; you won't get a smile or good manners when you spend your hard earned cash here. Minimum effort is the customer service style of choice. Once you've waited for your overpriced bar food your misgivings won't fall away. The fish (as in '...and chips') was served in an artificially yellow batter, the chips were substandard, and the mushy peas had an unidentifiable taste that had nothing to do with peas.
A sausage sandwich was ok (but expensive) and the Norfolk ham and mustard sandwich looked good on the plate but turned out to consist of too-thick bread, not much Norfolk ham and over-strong mustard that overpowered the whole thing.

I have been to the Sugar hut a total of 3 times now as they really make wonderful Thai cuisine. As miapops said its got a nice and cosy atmosphere and is ideal for a romantic meal for two.

The food is absolutely gorgeous, notably I loved the bamboo shoots in my meal as they were crunchy and fresh. I also tend to go for the starters which taste amazing too... I am rambling when all I need to say is that if you like Thai food you will love the Sugar Hut. In fact, I am quite surprised that there hasn't been more reviews as it really is a great place to try.

Yes, it is quite expensive, although I think the maximum I have spent there is Â£50. Saying that the meals are very big, if you have a large appetite then you won't be left hungry.

The service is quick, friendly and efficient. Also of note is that I left my camera there after a meal with my girlfriend, thing was I didn't realise I had left it there. It was about a month before it finally dawned on me that it could be there and to my surprise they had it behind the counter. I am very grateful for this seeing as I had lost another one just weeks before!!

La Tasca is situated in the area of Norwich known as â¬ÜTomblandâ¬". Donâ¬"t worry; itâ¬"s not quite as scary as it sounds. La Tasca is a Spanish themed restaurant that offers many traditional Spanish cuisine and also some lovely Tapas. For a friendâ¬"s Birthday we visited La Tasca and were offered the buffet style menu due to the size of our party. With this option the group must decide from one of three menus of varying cost. We all went for the second option and were pleasantly surprised by the constant stream of tasty grub. The quality of the dishes varied quite a bit but it was mostly good Spanish Tapas (of course nothing like what you would hope to get in Spain, but nevertheless still very yummy). The service was ok; I say this because occasionally it was hard to get someoneâ¬"s attention.

This is one of the best carvery's I've come across in the Norwich area.

Seating is mainly in a conservatory area, which can be a bit warm in the summer, although I would guess less people would choose a carvery if it was too hot outside.

The selection of meats is god and although I'm not vegetarian, there is always a veggie option. The vegetable selection is one of the best I've come across.

They also have a few dishes for those who don't fancy the carvery and offer childrens meals or a reduced price on the carvery.
My children love the scampi and chips, which is quite a sizeable portion for children, and comes with salad garnish as well.

Desserts are nice, and some if not all are homemade so well worth a try if you have any room left.This is one of the best carvery's I've come across in the Norwich area.

The portions here are truly huge!

The food is american burgers and wraps style with chips wedges or jackets.

It is good that the drinks can be refilled free of charge, although they only work out as good value if you do ensure you get a refill.

The restaurant itself is large and open plan and the tables aren't too close together.

The down side for me on our last visit was that the childrens meals seemed to have suffered a drop in quality.

My daughter chose hot dog and I was quited disappointed to see that they appeared to have used quite a poor quality sausage in a hot dog roll which seemed a bit past it's best.

The children love the play area here, so that made up for the poor meal, and there is god outdoor seating near the play area if the weather allows.
The portions here are truly huge!

After the two flights of stairs with a pushchair we hoped it would all be worth it.

I don't know about anyone else, but if I go to an american style diner I expect to see ribs on the menu, which they were, but unfortunately they did not actually have any so I had to make do with a burger.

The childrens meal was as you'd expect from fish fingers and chips and she seemed more than happy with it.

My burger and my hubbys were ok, but not the best I've had, although I may have been biased as I really wanted the ribs.

Trattoria Rustica - Exactly what the name suggests by miapops

Everything about the restaurant feels rustic italian trattoria, even down to the checked tablecloths.

The menu was varied and very reasonable priced, we chose to share an antipasti platter for starter, which arrived very quickly and was exactly what we had hoped for. For main course we both chose pasta, which again was great and arived quite promptly. For dessert I chose the homemade tiramisu, which is something I wouldn't choose normally, but felt I would give it a go to complete my italian experience and it didn't disappoint. My husband opted for a tartofu, which although not home made was apparently very good.

Another big plus here is that they sell a 1/2 carafe of their house wines, which is great if one of you is driving as I always fel quite guilty polishing off a whole bottle on my own.

Having visited other Bella Italia, and enjoyed them, I made my firts visit to this one last week.

There was one word to describe it and that is tatty. The decor looks like it needed freshening up, and the drinks fridge was vibrating so badly I could actually feel the vibraton through the chair I was sitting on.

The service was ok although they got my childrens orders wrong, and although they were happy to take them away an put it right, I'm sure our pasta dishes had been sitting under a heat lamp during the time it took to sort out, as they were a little dry and crusty on top.

The other thing that put me off a little, was that my pasta came in a terracotta dish, which was extremely badly chipped. I did not feel that great having to eat out a bowl with huge chunks missing and I'm not sure how hygenic it was as the chipped bits were unglazed, and my husbands wasn't much better. I love italian food, and Bella Italia does not disappoint.

The restaurant was very busy when we visited, ad we did have to wait quite a long while for our food to arrive, which was not ideal when you're dining with two hungry children.

I found it to be quite noisy, although this didn't bother us too much as it just helped cover the noise from the whining children.

The food tasted great although the presentation was not fantastic, but this may have been down to the volume of people ordering at the same time. The children enjoyed their food and loved getting the crayons and books to colour in whilst they waited. They were also given a little toy camera to play with which was quite fun and distracted them a little from the wait.

All in all a good place to eat, if you are not in a rush.I love italian food, and Bella Italia does not disappoint.

The restaurant was very busy when we visited, ad we did have to wait quite a long while for our food to arrive, which was not ideal when you're dining with two hungry children.

I found it to be quite noisy, although this didn't bother us too much as it just helped cover the noise from the whining children.

The food tasted great although the presentation was not fantastic, but this may have been down to the volume of people ordering at the same time. The children enjoyed their food and loved getting the crayons and books to colour in whilst they waited. They were also given a little toy camera to play with which was quite fun and distracted them a little from the wait.

All in all a good place to eat, if you are not in a rush.
