After buying Pizza at Figaro's I could never go back to paying for the overpriced, low quality pizzas that I was used to buying from the pizza chains in Norwich. Especially my local chain store with it's regular offer of buy one nasty, cheap tasting pizza, and get an equally horrid one free, offers.

Figaro's is everything that these chains are not. You can just taste the difference in quality from the first bite. I only found out about the place relatively recently. My friend popped in there with a bunch of work friends late one night purely by accident. He told me about it and we popped back.

I had a fish pizza which was amazing. I can't remember the name of it but it had tuna, salmon and baby clams on it. It cost me half the price that I would have normally have paid at my local chain store but the pizza was far tastier.

Admittedly, It was slightly smaller than the kind you would get in a box from a chain but I'm not the type of person who choses to stuff my face with rubbish food at the cost of taste. The quality and taste more than makes up for an inch or two lost in size.

The service is also fantastic. The waiter comes over to your table with a giant pepper grinder and adds some to your pizza if you would like it.

I would much rather walk into the city and buy a pizza from Figaro's than ever buy from my local again. I hope I can persuade my friends and family to go to Figaro's to because I want them to experience this wonderful restaurant so they don't ever have to eat second rate chain pizza ever again either.

It's not been too busy on the two occasions I have visited so far but I can imagine it might be very popular in the evenings. I don't know if you have to book either as I have just popped in for a table and there has always been one free so far.

Cookes is an appaling place! I was ignored for an hour and a half and then had to stand right in the assistant's face for him to stop twiddling his thumbs and serve me. Their stock is laughable: only one, dusty, well bashed example of each keyboard, (bizarrely the boxes are discarded on delivery) which is then used as demo model and sole stock, making it instantly secondhand. Despite this, far from charging a secondhand price, Cookes charge prices way over the going rate. Indifferently and incompetently run by money-grabbing crooks who have no idea about how to provide a decent service.

The worst thing; while I was there a predatory assistant talked a simple family into buying a more expensive keyboard than they wanted or needed by telling them that they would have to upgrade every year if they went for the cheaper one. This is total nonsense and is almost criminally misleading. Keyboards are not computers; if it works for what you want, it will not become obsolete. The family trustingly believed this assistant and I witnessed them buying the more expensive keyboard. Outrageous!

The service I received was so slow and the two staff (in an empty shop) so disinterested (even though I had several hundred pounds cash in my pocket ready to buy) that I eventually ran out of patience when the assistant disapperared upstairs for nearly 20 minutes!

I am not surprised that shops of this nature are doing so badly if they treat their potential customers in this way. The internet is full of retailers where you can buy the exact keyboard you want, in its box, untouched and for a far lower price.Cookes is an appaling place! This pub has changed in the last year. More welcoming atmosphere and great staff. let go of the dead wood but kept the good ones. fantastic food, as the chefs have changed, had a sea bass last night and it was sublime. Great drinking pub as well with event nights. You could quite happily spend a weekend in there, instead of city. Especially as they open till 1am. best around, please try it.This pub has changed in the last year. I had a wonderful evening at sukhothai with my husband and in laws. I chose to visit the restaurant after reading so many good reviews and feared it would have been an anti climax... far from it. Divine food, exceptional attentitive service and warming atmosphere. I am a strict vegetarian and the choice for veggies is endless. Rating: 1.00Went there with a party of 8 adults and two children on Mother Day for Sunday Lunch. Were kept waiting nearly an hour for our food which finally arrived after complaining. The food was inedible, five of us had roast beef which was impossible to cut, it was like old shoe leather the three small roast potatoes were like burnt, shrivelled, walnuts and the two new potatoes were bad
we all left most of our food and went. Lots of other people were complaining and leaving. Staff were totally disinterested. The manageress first threatened to seat us at a cramped table downstairs with about 15 other people crowded around us. Then asked us to go upstairs. When we did and had just started to settle down at a table, she came up and said we would have to go down as the staff couldnt be bothered to climb upstairs to serve us! As we started to go down, a white couple came up and was promptly welcomed with a smile by said manageress and asked to take a table in the same section that we were being asked to leave. This is a very friendly salon - where the stylists seem to go that extra step to make you feel special! Its clean and bright, modern without being pretentious, and very welcoming. I recently went in feeling especially miserable having had to close my company down - and came out honestly feeling on top of the world! Wow, what a great place to eat, drink & relax. Franks Bar is now one of my favourite venues. They serve great food, reasonably priced, with a really diverse and interesting menu (which seems to change on a regular basis). The service is great, and the staff chatty and welcoming.
It's a great place to go for Sunday Brunch (the blueberry pancakes are my favourite), and they even show films on a Sunday afternoon out the back. Too bad it's closed on Mondays.

Freezing cold night - table in direct draught every time the door was opened. Food very ordinary - soup obviously microwaved. Inferior steak, dry pasta. Wine horrendously overpriced. Pros I have visited the Marsh Harrier in Norwich twice. On my first visit I was attracted by the beautiful building and traditional feel of the pub. I was also amazed by how many tables and people the venue could cater for. However the food and service certainly doesn't live upto anywhere near the standard of the building!!

Cons My mind of not returning to the pub was certainly made up when on my second visit when my food was served on a plate that had not been washed. You could feel the grease and see the finger prints around the edge of the plate! There was food stuck to the edges of the plate and it was just dirty in general. Another thing that puts me off the pub is how the cutlery is kept in a pot in the middle of the table. How do you know how long it has been there and who has touched it and put it back before you eat off it!! Also the way that the sauces are served I find incredibly rude. The waitress stands there and waits until you have finished taking the sauces. This all sounds fine but you feel rushed and if you would like any more once you have started eating your meal you can't get any.
