Today I eat with my fiancee in TOMO RESTAURANT - 88, HighStreet - Hornsey - London - N8 7NU - the place was lovely, the service great and the food Simple divine - I had pasta - Gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese and parmigiano and a lovely tiramisu for dessert - my man had the fusilli with sausages and courgette - we both were pleased about the taste, look and portion received.
the place was clean and cozy and lovely - they got plenty of tables - the floor and the architecture around make me feel at home (I am italian), the girl who works there was so lovely and helpful, the chef is brilliant and the pizzaman was making pizza in the front of us ... I didn't have pizza this time but I am sure I will next time - Even if they are not italian but polish (and I am italian) they were able to provide a meal and all the details as an italian will... wish all of them the best - and well done. What a cool place to have a restaurant! You really would not expect such a high class dining experience at a location like this! I think the location adds to the excitement, you really donâ¬"t know what to expect and also due to the location, it is probably why they arenâ¬"t that expensive considering the quality and quantity of food you are served. The staff are brilliant, really attentive without taking away the intimacy of the table which I think is a very tough thing to pull off. The food here is cooked perfectly and there is a great choice of food including many specials.What a cool place to have a restaurant! Although this is a small restaurant it is relaxed and friendly and the staff are polite and quick to deal with your request. You can get the usual deals here, i.e. the "eat as much pizza, pasta, salad" etc for lunchtime. I thought the food was well prepared and the lunch buffet was topped up properly, especially the salad bar. I estimate that you would get a lot of families in here so it could get noisy, but the day I went it was surprisingly quiet, so no screaming children in my ear. The only thing I didn't like was desert, they do a cookie dough desert which was really sickly for me, we had to share it between 3 of us and it was still too much of a sugar high.Although this is a small restaurant it is relaxed and friendly and the staff are polite and quick to deal with your request. I ate at my favourite Greek Cypriot restaurant again Saturday and a just wanted to write a few words, because I wanted readers to try to get to this little gem, before such traditional establishments die out.

Paneri (in North London), serves the best quality food I have tasted, after that made in a Greek Cypriot home. If you are there as a group I would recommend you order a half meat and have fish meze. Unlike the more trendy, central London restaurants where every single dish is individually priced, here you pay the one, for meze. The waiting staff then fill every square millimetre of table space with an assortment of delicious dishes and when you are ready, replace these with another large spread of dishes, and so on.

Unlike the more well, know Vrisaki down the road where sittings are the norm, at Paneri there is no rush. I have often stayed there 4-5 hours. We have never managed to order dessert because the preceding dishes are so glorious, you tend to eat too much. I would recommend accompanying the food with the marvellous Greek Cypriot beer, Keo.

In the depths of the gangster world that is Wood Green is this little gem. Tacky interiors and being situated next to a cinema in the middle of a shopping mall disguise the fact that this place serves truly amazing food. We've never tried the buffet, this is about the a la carte menu only.

The service is attentive and genuine, the DJ playing Indian pop music on a Saturday night was amusing, unintentionally I'm sure, but amusing nonetheless.

Try the Garlic Mirchi Paneer (make sure you accept to have it sizzling) - one of the nicest Indian dishes I've ever tasted.
