They have tried to make this place look new, fashionable, and trendy. All the furniture is quite modern. In fact, you would not know it was an Indian restaurant until you smell the food and see what the staff look like. It doesnâ¬"t have the feel of an Indian restaurant if you know what I mean. Saying that, the food was very nice, the drinks were good too, and so was the service. I would give this restaurant seven out of ten. In some ways more like a cafe than a restaurant Limon was a pleasant meal but nothing too special.

The food is tasty and not too expensive but the menu us quite limited.

This restaurant is a great idea - basically the front of the restaurant is a genuine butchers while the back has tables for eating.

Anything you order off the menu comes straight from the butchers out front and to the kitchen which means that you can order pretty much any cut of meat you like and the quality is superb.

When I went I ordered a rib of beef (a dish to share between 2) and it was the best beef I've ever had. Tender and delicious!

The rib of beef was quite expensive (Â£50 between 2, but there was no need for starters!!) but there are cheap dishes on the menu - the main course of pork chop was only Â£9 including hand-made chips so you could certainly eat here on a budget if you wanted. Or just buy the meat from the front and cook it at home!

Highly recommended - definitely looking to go back there.

The food is conventional but good Italian fair. The staff generally stay on the right side of friendly, and birthday tables are usually given a raucous 15 seconds of fame.

I am an experienced enthusiastic lover of quality Thai food!!
Our group of five spanned an age range of 50 years yet, so good was the food at Chang Thai,everyone thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we had ordered.

My only regret is that I live about twenty stops away on the dreaded Northern Line, otherwise I would become a regular.

When I have been to The Light House (just off of Wimbledon Village) I've had nice meals, thought the staff were amenable, presentation of the food is always good and the menu selection is varied and sounds de-lish!

I always have that feeling that it is missing something, or trying to be something it's not?
The food sounds more interetsing than what it actually is - why I don't know, a bit like it's missing a key ingredient and a lot of people I've spoken to have felt the same to a certain extent.
I think the set 2 or 3 course menus are good value
Also, touchs like the inner courtyard, it gives a slight Moroccan/Med' feel to the place - def' plus point.

Don't get me wrong - I'd go back but it's one of those places you'd find it hard to get excited about.

The only good thing about this place is the location.

I've tried lunch here and evening drinks... both to no avail.
The staff always seem disgruntled that you require serving, no matter how polite and friendly you are to them. We were told we must go to the bar to order our food, so we we did. Only to find everyone else then offered table service.
We then found our order had been lost, only after we waited for 40 minutes!"So, do you still want to eat or what?" was the reply from the staff...
When our food finally arrved, it was poor quality, under cooked and just totally unappealing that we left it.

Huge selection of cocktails and apparently highly trained 'mixoligists' - who semmed confused over the drinks on the menu. Full of foreign students, most of who looked under age.

An almost out-of-town sibling of the wonderful San Lorenzo of Beauchamp Place, which maintains an almost mystical attraction for high society partly due to its refusal to take credit cards, making it necessary to be seriously cashed up - or be well enough known to Mara Berni to write a cheque. Ghigo Berni presides over the Wimbledon restaurant - or I suppose would do if he was there; but on the night we went he was absent and the staff were disappointingly ordinary, trying to give us an ill-favoured table even though we were well-dressed and the place was half empty The conservatory which might have been more atmospheric was closed and the rest of the decor is generally somewhat '70's trat'.

That aside, the food was excellent: delicious lobster salad, succulent calves' liver, an exceptional fillet of beef and a mouthwatering mixed grill of fish and shellfish. We finished sharing a beautifully well-balanced semifreddo al vin santo, the meal all washed down with a decent Pinot Bianco for only £17.50. £170 for four people including service made it a pretty reasonable night out - and they take credit cards!

This little cafe, with bench seating, is a South Wimbledon favourite of ours. Its menu is a mixture of Chinese and Japanese rice and noodle dishes served in generous portions by young and pleasant staff. Prices are very reasonable (eg £5 or £6 for a groaning plateful of chicken and vegetables with black bean sauce) and it's a great place for hungry youngsters on a limited budget. Only problem is that service is so speedy and the turnover so fast that your visit is more likely to last forty minutes than a whole evening! We find this a welcome change from other Wimbledon restaurants and a pleasant place for some tasty Lebanese food. It's small and unpretentious with friendly staff who remember you. Our favourite food there is a selection of starters and small dishes which we prefer to the main (slightly plain) meat dishes. They often play Lebanese music on CD which helps to blot out the rather bleak urban view from the window. We find this a welcome change from other Wimbledon restaurants and a pleasant place for some tasty Lebanese food. It's small and unpretentious with friendly staff who remember you. Yes, a certain female tennis player calls this her favourite restaurant when she comes to play in Wimbledon, but that doesn't make her a good judge of Thai food.
Mediocre, at best, there are various others in the area which beat this hands down. And because it's in Wimbledon Village, it's also over-priced.
The service was good though, and they were quite attentive, despite not really knowing how to explain what was on the menu. Again other Thai Restaurants in the area are better.

If you like industrial strength, tapas en masse, more tables than the eye can see, then come here, else find a real tapas place.
Yes, they usually have a band (who I didn't think wanted to be there), yes it's big and shiny, but the service was crap (our guy was a kid with attitude and no sense of service).
The food, ugh, don't order the meal for 4, it came on a bed of cheap dorito knock-offs, crusty, dry whatevers, and some pathetic chicken.. I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

Nando's is a South african franchise which offer Portugese style PERI-PERI chicken. Ok being South African I am a tad biased but this is a healthy fast food outlet for eating in or takeaway.

The chickens are flame grilled in front of you & spiced with the mildest sauce being lemon & herb or the hotest being xtra hot (it burns!)

An order is placed at the counter then customers collect their own cutlery and sauces. Bottomless soft drinks & frozen youghurt on tap are available.

The food is very fat free as the grilling takes away half the fat & their salads have low fat dressing which you can have on the side.

My favourite meal here is lemon & herb chicken breast in a burger with cheese & pineapple simply the best! Of course their chips are something special as well spicy or plain.

Nando franchises are now an institution in the UK & your nearest one can be found on the website www.nandos.co.uk

The decor is modern and tasteful, not sure why there is a wooden well in the front though.

Service is very good, except for the one lady who came out and could obviously not speak a word of English. Not helpful when you are ordering drinks...

We had a starter of a vegetable spring roll each, and they brought some shoots and cucumber pieces for us too. This was very nice.

Lance had the crispy duck and I had chilli king prawns. We both ordered some noodles with bean sprouts.

My king prawns had no chilli taste AT ALL (and the menu said it was hot - 2 chilli signs next to it), they came in this very thick garlicy sauce that was quite gross actually (look at the photos). I managed to eat 4 and then could stomach no more. I usually love seafood, but the sauce put me off it totally. I filled up on the noodles.

Lance left quite a bit of the duck too. It was okay, nothing special. It was brought to him cold too. We left feeling unsated and hungry as we had left so much behind.

The place did not have that much ambiance to be honest, they played this funny music box music too, we felt flat there, and would not go again.

We had never tried this restaurant before. In the heart of Wimbledon, on The Broadway, we decided to try it out before going to watch Ice Age 2!

The decor is easy going and relaxing... old pillows scattered around, red glowing candles on the tables, and funky paintings on the walls. Friendly staff who serve chilled cold beer.

The downside was that they misheard my order and brought me the wrong food, so by the time my proper meal came, hubby had finished his. We didnt let this spoil our evening though, it really is a lovely place, one we might make it a regular.

Another downside is you have to walk through the bar/smoking area to get to the non smoking area at the back, which isnt ideal at all. Bring on the new no smoking laws in 2007!!!

Hubby and I both ordered burgers (he a steak one and me a lamb and mint one), onion rings and chips... the food was excellent! Succulent burgers, tons of salad, which we love, the onion rings were massive and crunchy, the chips had this tangy spice on them. The homemade and chunky hot chips come separate, in a tin tub.

On the menu they have a couple of other interesting dishes, namely... South African boerewors sausage!
