Got to give this place 5 stars after all the whole shop is full of scrummy things. The staff are usually helpful but hey, its chocolate , so it would not stop me going in to buy a gift for some one. Every one is impressed by a huge box of thorntons. You can buy some boxed items and have the name of the person you want written on in white chocolate icing. You can also get gift boxes wrapped, I think it still costs Â£2.50 for a large wrapped gist and very small ones under Â£5 are only 50p, makes them look great. I've got a friend in Wimbledon, so I pop in to Greggs sometimes, and I've got to admit, it's one of my favourite places for a quick bite or a sweet treat.

Greggs is full of lovely sandwiches, baguettes, bagels, pasties, doughnuts, etc. Basically anything made with some type of bread, generally baked.

When I was a child, my mother used to buy me a iced doughnut covered with sprinkles. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found the same type of doughnuts (white icing with multi-coloured sprinkles)still being made today! Of course, there's no reason for them to have stopped making it, but it made me happy all the same.

The sandwiches are very good quality food - great for lunch - and have various different fillings (my favourite being the good old BLT)

I would definitely recommend Greggs for anyone, even if they're not hungry! The smell of it all, freshly baked, will make you hungry anyway. For years Sia food and wine has been used by young children aged around 13-17 years for purchasing alcohol and cigarettes.
Known by them as 'Haydons' they make their way there to buy alcohol and go drinking in near-by parks.
The staff there (2 asian men) know that the children are underage as when they purchase alcohol they tell them to, and qoute, 'Put it deep in your bag', or if there are other customers in the shop they wait until they have left to serve the kids.
This has gone un noticed since I was in my early teens, now nearly 18 it's still going on and more and more kids hear of it and go there to get drink.
This place should have it's licence removed as it is using it in the wrong way.
They are helping add to the rise in young people drinking from an early age.

The farmer's market in Wimbledon Park (Earlsfied/Southfield borders) has been running for at least five years, and is a great place to get your weekly food shop - fantastically fresh fish from Dorset, bread from Flour Station and the Celtic Bakers, Isle of Wight tomatoes, creamy goats cheese, hand reared meats, eggs, pickles, honey and of course fruit and veg. The great thing about buying straight from the farmers/makers is that they can give you an idea of how to prepare and cook things you haven't tried before - and of course you often get a chance to taste before you buy. This is my local market, and I shop here every week, but you can find out your nearest market by visiting www.lfm.org.uk. They also hold special events such as regular plant fairs and apple day in the autumn with heritage varieties of apple to try - discover what real apples taste like before we lose them all to the unbruisable but tastefree supermarket varieties.
