We've eaten here and few times and always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere but we were sorely disappointed by the staff during out last visit (on September 4th 2008). The restaurant wasnâ¬"t at all full but we were sat close to other patrons along the window. Then the family of three (parents late 30â¬"s and daughter of about 11) setting behind us started to play R&B music through a mobile phone. Thinking that it was just one song that the dad just HAD to play for his family we sat patiently and waited for it to finish but one song just rolled into the next and it became evident that he had no intension of turning it off. Then a member of staff approached the table and we exchanged a hopeful look with another dismayed table only for the waiter to take the families drink order!

This is terrible pub. It is located in a highly residential area, which is not good at all. It is dirty and needs a real good clean out you won't know what you're gulping down. This is the worst pub i've ever visited. The people it attracts always seem to have a real attitude or a chip on their shoulder. People who go there would not enjoy at all. It's cheap and nasty!!!! The presence of this pub gives both the african and the caribbean pubs a really bad name. The standard is non-existent. I'm glad i visited that pub because now i know i'll never visit this place again and would regret the day i should ever have to go there again. Guys out there, i don't think you'll enjoy this pub, if you like that sort of atmosphere then good for you. But i'll never advise someone to go there unless i really really hate that person, and even then, that would be very harsh thing to do. This is terrible pub. Best Pie & Mash EVER!!!! Have been going to Arments since I was about 5, great to eat in or take away. Cheap meal to have before match days, colds days, summer days just about whenever - lovely with lot's of chilli vinegar!!Best Pie & Mash EVER!!!!
