Spice World - Spice is Nice (shame there wasn't any) by thamshere

Cheap sort of place. For an unknown reason I tried the buffet. Awful, really. Overly fatty mutton in red sauce. Chicken in a sort of yellowish-brown sauce. I guess that might have been a korma. A chick-pea dish and a vegetable one. Also, some sort of yellow slop that might have been dahl put could just have easily been mashed up paper with some tumeric. No bread. Some sort of near-tasteless baked rice dish.

Despite the restaurant's name there was barely any spice to be found in any of the dishes. Best bit: leaving.

Entertainment provided by waiters shouting at the 'chef'.

Still, at 6.95 for an all you can eat buffet, I can't really complain, can I?

I can?

Oh.
Spicy Food Plus Curry - Pretty Good Bread by thamshere

The food is kept warm in steamer trays behind a counter and the proprietor ladles the thick sauce in to tin-foil take-out trays. It's pretty cheap and the food is pretty average.

There are a few seats inside so it's a good escape from the office. The place looks... well, I would say run-down, but that might be being overly kind. It looks like better days were something that once happened to another shop. Reminds me of places you might find in Asia more than England.

The one high point that takes it up to two stars instead of one is the made-to-order bread. Rotis and naans are made before your eyes in a traditional clay oven and they are pretty good. I think the best way to enjoy the food here is to just order the bread and some sauce to dip it in.

Might be a bit of a wait for breads at lunchtime as they are cooked individually and take a few minutes.

Luckily time is an illusion, so this shouldn't cause a problem.Spicy World is an unassuming Indian serving pre-prepared curries. The chips here are never as good as the mcdonalds ones, always a bit too soggy, why I do not know. But the pop corn chicken is good, and the wraps are nice when freshly made. The value for money is ok, but the food is some times a bit hit and miss. Not really very good if you are a non meat eater though as chicken is what you get. Not sure if I really like it, so having been a couple of times, I ask my self why bother. still some people love the stuff and it can get busy.Well if you want some thing quick and do not mind that it is a bit greasy and full of hidden calories then kfc is for you.
Krispy Kreme - Mmmmm Krispy Kreme :D by sp7uk69

Since they were introduced i thank god that they aren't available in every store you go or i might be many pounds heavier than i am. I'm a total sucker for these doughnuts. They have the perfect recipe and are scrumptous, even my mum who doesn't like to eat many sweet things can't resist scoffing down two everytime i get some. They are available singlely or in boxes. There are a range of different coatings and flavours and they are always so fresh. They are great eaten as they are or if you have had some for a few days (Be warned this should never happen lol) they are great when heated up in a microwave or oven. The classic sugar coated one's are by far my favourite, even though the chocolate and caramel and various others flavoured one's look so much more appealing i find the classic one's taste the best and they smell so good they should make an air freshener of this aroma. They are highly priced and even though you have to pay over the odds the box of 12 is better off in the long run as they are high quality and once you have one you'll just want more and more. They are available in tesco's and harrods and certain stores but not as widely available as i would have liked. I don't know if this is a bad thing or a good one :)These are my favourite doughnuts.
