The palace is such a hugh and imposing building, so much part of englands history and a centre for all things at times of celebration in the uk. The palace is always surrounded by huge crowds of people, exactly who they think they may catch a glimpse of, I can never guess. But I too have stood in awe and hoped to see some thing in fact anything f interest.
Sadly I have not seen much apart form the odd smartly dressed soldier stood in splendid red, bearskin held high, whilst people call out for him to smile for a photo. The water fountain in front of the palace is lovely also and there is the park right next to it all.

A surprisingly good Balti curry-house. Very friendly and rather hopeless staff add to the character of this Indian restaurant.

This place is situated right in the heart of westminster and is truly a wonderful sight to see. The building is so beautiful and very interesting from both inside and out side. The mosaics which are inside the building are very beautiful and well worth seeing. The fact that so many important events have been held here only adds to the attraction of visiting the cathedral. We looked around for ages and would certainly go and see it again some time. It is very easy to get to, london transport will help you out there. You should go and visit this unique part of englands heritage. Well if you want some thing quick and do not mind that it is a bit greasy and full of hidden calories then kfc is for you. The chips here are never as good as the mcdonalds ones, always a bit too soggy, why I do not know. But the pop corn chicken is good, and the wraps are nice when freshly made. The value for money is ok, but the food is some times a bit hit and miss. Not really very good if you are a non meat eater though as chicken is what you get. Rating: 4.00Victoria rail station has many convenient facilities but can be a stressful place to be. As well as providing trains to various parts of London and further afield there are a number of bus stops within a short walk, the underground tube station and the nearby coach station.

Victoria rail station has a shopping centre, a large WH Smith and a number of places to eat. If you have to pass some time there you aren't completely stuck.

It is usually an extremely busy place and can be overwhelming if you lose you bearings or are unfamiliar with going there.

The Stag in Victoria is tucked away down a few little side streets near the shopping precinct in Victoria Street (by the Marks & Spencers!)

It is predominately a gay pub although EVERYONE is welcome. I am straight yet vist here often and am never made to feel uncomfortable.

A friday night sees The Stag become particularly lively and they have a house DJ who plays plenty of house, cheese and 80's pop (think Madonna, Tiffany and Bananarama!). A side entrance from inside the pub leads to "Victoria's Secret Garden" which is also known as the smoking area!

So on to the restaurant itself. Noura Belgravia was the first of the Noura restaurants in London and combines sleek, contemporary lines with the best in Lebanese cuisine. At lunchtime the restaurant is divided into a brasserie for more informal lunch as well as a traditional restaurant for those who wish to indulge in the full menu. In the evening, the whole restaurant is set for fine dining with more al fresco eating in the bar area.

A Lebanese that´s just not like others. This wonderful find near Victoria offers fantastic, refined Middle Eastern cooking, including great starters, superb mezze and some very original dishes. It´s excellent in every sense with a sleek, generous space that evokes a feeling of intimacy making it good for a group (no wonder it attracts a smart crowd).

There´s an air of glamour about the place, with smartly suited waiters fandangoing between acres of starched clothed tables, largely populated by people who still dress for dinner. Formal it may be, but it´s not stuffy - conversation levels are high and there´s a great buzz.

My wife had been on at me for a while to take her to the theatre, so not being one for that sort of thing I had a look around at what was on and settled on seeing Wicked at the Apollo theatre. As this was somewhat based around the Wizard of Oz i thought how bad can it be. So I bought the tickets and off we went. I was a little apprehensive and expected to be bored. How wrong was I! From the moment it started I was blown away. This is quite simply one of the best experiences I can remember. The cast were fantastic. I came out singing the songs in my head and had to buy the soundtrack. Which was a little bit of a let down as it is the broadway cast. I wanted to hear the London cast belting out the tunes again. The story is well told and cleverly linked in to the Wizard of Oz. I would highly recommend this show. I'm by no means a theatre lover but would go and see this again in a heartbeat. Ask is another of those reliable Italian chains. Its menu is more extensive than most â¬ with excellent salads, pastas and pizzas (you don't often get a good choice of all three at other places). The pasta dishes are particularly good â¬ with lots of vegetable choices or chicken or tuna or seafood. The service here has always been friendly and there's a nice upstairs too which is quieter during the week at lunchtimes. This gets popular in the evening as it's so close to the tube station especially with office workers. It's convenient for commuters. All the food has always tasted very fresh as well.

I love this pub. It is great. It's a traditional proper English pub right next to Westminster Cathedral (hence the name). The beer is very good and ridiculously inexpensive especially for central London. Because it is out of the way, it is usually quiet. I have not eaten here yet but would not mind betting it is worth a try.
It is probably not everyone's cup of tea (or should that be tipple of choice) but if you want modern and hip go somewhere else. If you want excellent value in a proper setting, with this pub you can't go wrong.

It's handy to have another handy, 'stylish' enough (by that I mean not a grimey pub or a fast food restaurant) eatery in the area.

I went here with a few friends for lunch one weekday. It was sunny outside so we sat in their outdoor seating area, which was really nice. There are plenty of tables and plenty of space, so we could relax without feeling crammed in.

The service was good - polite and friendly - and the food didn't take long to arrive.

Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and were happy with the prices being charged.

There were several tasty sounding vegetarian options, so that kept me happy.

This is a fairly new (2008) bar, and is clean, trendy enough and quite smart. It's just off from the main centre of Victoria which is a good location as a) it gives you somewhere to go in Victoria and b) is away from the rest of the work crowds who overpopulate the other bars (since there aren't really that many decent places to go in Victoria).

The place looks nice inside - chunky wooden tables, good lighting etc. There's usually background music of pop songs - and it stays as background music, it's never turned up, so you can always hear conversation.

The furniture is a bit of a mix, comfort-wise. The sofas are really comfortable, if you get these. The high tables with high stools, however, might look nice but aren't very comfortable to sit back and relax in.

The food is ok. Standard bar menu (burger, lasagne etc). It's not amazing, but is good enough.

Final note: this is a tiny bar, so don't turn up expecting anything massive. While it may not be the best of places to go it is an alright place. These are my favourite doughnuts. Since they were introduced i thank god that they aren't available in every store you go or i might be many pounds heavier than i am. I'm a total sucker for these doughnuts. They have the perfect recipe and are scrumptous, even my mum who doesn't like to eat many sweet things can't resist scoffing down two everytime i get some. They are available singlely or in boxes. There are a range of different coatings and flavours and they are always so fresh. They are great eaten as they are or if you have had some for a few days (Be warned this should never happen lol) they are great when heated up in a microwave or oven. The classic sugar coated one's are by far my favourite, even though the chocolate and caramel and various others flavoured one's look so much more appealing i find the classic one's taste the best and they smell so good they should make an air freshener of this aroma. They are highly priced and even though you have to pay over the odds the box of 12 is better off in the long run as they are high quality and once you have one you'll just want more and more.
