Excellent place to go in not so lovely Walthamstow. Best coffee around with the real kick to it and it's only Â£1.00 to go in a rather large cup. Lovely decor, great place to relax and grab a lunch, cake or lovely cup of coffee plus they are selling wine and beer ,too. In my opinion defenitly one of the nicest coffee shops in walthamstow.Excellent place to go in not so lovely Walthamstow. Been coming here fairly regularly for past couple of years. Great atmosphere,v friendly older crowd (mid 20's up). Food served lunchtimes is good home cooked pub grub and they do the best carvery in Walthamstow on sundays.

Try sat nights always live entertainment (DJ, Karaoke,Singers,Bands etc) for a great night out!Been coming here fairly regularly for past couple of years. I love this pub and attned the Wine Tasting events hoted by Sean Pines, as much as I can. They are once a month and tickets are bookable in advance by email. Often last Thursday in th onth. Very great fun very knowledgeable you will try wines from £8 - £40 a bottle. Cost is £6-£10 for tasting as Sean runs this as non profit and Nags Head offer the Space for free. I have been a customer for years they serve a chilled Cobra and great food. What I like best is that the restaurant will always cook a curry specifically to order if requested. I like mine a certain way and they are more than happy to oblige. They also are happy to accommodate small childern when ours was tiny they took the chair away so the buggy could pull up to the table. No highchairs available. They do takeaway and delivery also . Open seven days a week 5.30 pm till late. What a delight! At first it is easy not to notice Raja Tandoori with its unimposing but, when you take a second look, delightful exterior. Inside it pretty much looks like so many of your classic Indian restaurants with heavy, colourful decoration. Itâ¬"s about as classic as it gets! The menu is quite vast, all the Indian classics as well as some British favourites - although I have to say people don't really come here for the latter! The thing that I truly appreciate about Mr. Chaudhery's (he's the boss here!) eatery is the fact that you are guaranteed to find something that will suite your taste buds. First thing is that there is a healthy range when it comes to your food's heat - we're talking the mildest of the mild right through the hottest of the hot dishes - an option that I find many of the other Indian restaurants in the area lack as, in my experience, most of their food is just plain hot! Not great when your pallet isn't wired for those Jalfrezes or Vindaloos! Both veggies and meat lovers will find something that suits them on this menu, thereâ¬"s also some surprising and interesting fish dishes. One of the simplest dishes on the menu is my resounding favourite - the Mulligatawny soup - with a nan a meal in itself! Whilst I have yet to find something to fault in Mr. Chaudhery's food the service is friendly and always delivered with a smile, most of the time Mr. Chaudhery himself will take a turn at your table to check on his customers. I cannot forget that memorable birth day celebrated at SHER KHAN CHILLI N SPICE.
There are many places in London, offering Pakistani and Chinese, but they are wolf in sheep's clothing.
As far as, SHER KHAN CHILLI N SPICE is concerned, I would like to say that it is the name of taste and quality in London, which is catering the taste of all the people coming to it. I am sharing my expressions because of 101 reasons.
First of all, when we entered the premises of SHER KHAN CHILLI N SPICE, all of us were given a warm welcome by the staff. This verve welcome forced us to feel ourselves in 7th heaven.
2ndly, what to say about the cleanliness, every thing was glimmering.
3rdly, the most important thing is its delicious food. Both the Chinese and Pakistani food beggars description to be explained.
there are some Pakistani dishes named as Karahi Gosht, Chicken Tikka Massala,Chiken Jelfrazi,Meat biriani and mix vegetables, which are really good in taste and we liked them very much.
From the Chinese cuisine King Prawn Noodles, veg noodles and many more dishes that we enjoyed.....
I wish may this restaurant flourish and serve the delicious food to every one who wants to have some quality food and taste.

There is a carvery on offer, but not of the 1980's type you would expect; with tired and overcooked meat and veg. The Pig and Whistle has locally sourced, well cooked joints of meat, a good selection of seasonal vegetables and crisp roast potatoes.

The meal is around Â£10 for a good portion of meat and as much of the vegetables as you think you can eat.

My only negative comment is that the place lacks a little atmosphere and I wouldn't come here for drinks in the evening.I've been eating Sunday lunch here ever since I moved into the area 12 months ago.

If you want a genuine East End night out then you could do worse than the Cock Tavern. It is a typical East End pub with very pretty barmaids. Most of them are eastern European or Russian but they are very friendly, as is the Landlord, Tommy. It is mostly full of regulars.
They have big screens for sports matches etc, but the actual pub building is very old and has a traditional feel to it. They serve great value Sunday lunches and good bar snacks. Priya is always busy but this is because it serves the best spicy and tasty food in London in my opinion. They are very child friendly, and provide high chairs and there is also room to pull a pram right up to the table if you want to. The food is varied and always freshly cooked. They serve draught and bottled beer plus wine and spirits. There is another level upstairs so you can usually get a table even at the busiest times. There are many Indian and curry restaurants around but very few serve genuine Sri Lankan food and it really is a whole different taste experience. Have eaten here many a time as I love their burgers and I do not live near one at home. You know what to expect when you walk in and are not disappointed the food is always freshly cooked and as it is a busy branch, nothing sits around for more than a min or so and on busy times you sometimes have to wait while they cook your order but as that generally means really hot chips, who is complaining?
