Went there for dinner last Thursday and was excellent. A new chef and manager have taken over, very simple food but cooked incredibly well and very friendly service. went to the railway last friday for the first time. What a lovely place. Had some delicious pizza. Nice laid back atmosphere for a friday, they had some great ska djs. Stayed a bit too long.... Rating: 3.00Pizza Hut is a chain of nationwide restaurants that offer relaxed comfortable dining from a range of pizza, pasta and salads. The prices are reasonable, even on the drinks, and pizza hut regularly bring out offers to bring down the cost of dining.
On our visit to this restaurant we found it to be busy, but were quickly seated and our order promptly taken by a waitress. The service was a little overstreched - they could bring our food out and take the initial order but if we wanted a drink top up or some dips to go with our main it was difficult to get hold of a witress and when we did she made us feel like we'd put on her! This is an absolute cornerstone of the local little parade of shops, and always full to bursting with tradesmen stopping off for breakfast or lunch (sadly it isn't open for dinner).

There is, however, still room for the likes of us - and since the smoking ban we have been more likely to take advantage) and we have been in quite often for breakfast. This is pretty standard greasy spoon fare: eggs done fried or scrambled, bacon, sausage, beans, and chips with everything.

At lunchtime you can have good old favourites like liver and bacon or lamb chops, followed by treacle sponge and custard.

The staff/owners are friendly and efficient, which is exactly what you want.

Rating: 5.00I confess that we haven't been in here particularly recently, and now I am starting to feel guilty about that. This is a great little restaurant and it would be such a shame if it closed through lack of business.

On the occasions we have been to this restaurant, we have been very impressed by the high standard of both the food and the service. The staff are all extremely friendly and very accomodating,and the food is really delicious.

The food is apparently vietnamese which seems pretty similar to thai, and very tasty too!

This is our local takeaway (and to our shame we often have them deliver even though we live about two minutes' walk away).

The food is generally pretty good, and the menu is very extensive - pretty much every indian dish you have heard of is included. They have some specialities which are particularly lovely.

We have never eaten in, and aren't very tempted to because it always seems to be practially empty so I don't imagine there would be much atmosphere. However, they do have a buffet on a Sunday which we keep meaning to try out - it sounds like pretty good value.

Having said all that, I must admit that when it comes to indian food, I think they are all pretty good so maybe I am not the best judge!This is our local takeaway (and to our shame we often have them deliver even though we live about two minutes' walk away).

This cosy argentinian grill is certainly a welcome addition to the local area. Situated halfway along Tulse hill, itâ¬"s not the easiest place to get to if you donâ¬"t live within walking distance but itâ¬"s definitely worth the 15 minute walk for me. You can sit in or get a takeaway but donâ¬"t forget to order ahead if you do as the wait is at least 15 minutes.

The menu is a bit on the petite side but I guess theyâ¬"re making sure they can handle it and it does mean the food is fresher. They have spicy or plain grilled chicken (available as a Â¼, Â½ or whole), burgers, grilled ribs with sweet soy sauce, whole chorizo, grilled sardines and cod cakes. For vegetarians, thereâ¬"s a choice of couscous, pasta with Broccoli or melanzani (aubergines, tomatoes, mozzarella).
I had the spicy chicken with rice and salsa and it was really flavoursome. The skin of the chicken was charred to a smoky crisp without the bitterness that you get when there is an incompetent chef. Inevitably finger-licking good! They also have a mini delicatessen with a variety of meat and cheese, it looked fairly cheap too.

Ok, I haven't been inside, but only sampled their take-aways. The food has always been very nice and good value - typical Indian, but - unlike other local joints - this one won't serve you soggy onion bhajis.
