Small traditional Italian cafe with friendly and cheerful Italian staff who were fabulous with the children. Food nice, not outstanding, but good value for money. The pizzas are enormous and the veal was very good. Be aware that you do need to order vegetables as a side dish. The lemon sorbet - served inside a hollowed out frozen lemon - was a fine way to finish. It was pleasant to feel we could linger without being pushed out the door to make way for more diners. This place is a real gem. The staff are great - so friendly and helpful - and they do the best steak I have ever tasted! It's always busy so do be prepared to wait around for a bit but if you do have to there are usually a few people on the stairs to chat with and you can grab a glass of vino to get warmed up! All in all I always have a great night here - great food, great service, great atmosphere... interesting europop music!This place is a real gem. Can't say enough good things about this place!
It's been here for ages, never seems to be not busy.
Although it's in the heart of Covent Garden, it's not packed only with tourists as you'd expect. I guess it's due to the fact that the entrances are up steep granite stairs. I was introduced by a friend and most everyone I bring haven't been there before, so it's a hidden gem for sure.
The French cuisine may be from a "chain" menu but it's all freshly cooked which is very unusual for large companies these days. There's always new daily specials too.
The bar is a great meeting place, huge terrace on the balcony for smirting!

I have been looking for somewhere that sold this dish, as it's one of my favourites. It's a cross between an omelette and a pizza, made by mixing finely chopped cabbage into egg, along with several other yummy and extremely fresh ingredients, then cooking it into a large patty on the hotplate on the table in front of you.

You then have the option to finish the dish with the traditional condiments - various sauces, bright green powered seaweed and bonito flakes that wave in even the most delicate breeze.

It's certainly an experience, and the food is so fresh, healthy and delicious. Well worth a visit.I have been looking for somewhere that sold this dish, as it's one of my favourites. Excellent service and Food was delicious. It's a perfect place to have decent dinner. The waiting staffs were delightful and attentive with excellently crafted food. The House Special was well spiced and balanced as any we've ever had, and the vegetable rice made an interesting change from plain pilau. Definitely will visit this restaurant again. Just started working in the area a couple of weeks ago and already had two very dissapointing visits to Tossed on St. Martin's lane. The first time I happened to be helped by someone who had just started so I decided to be forgiving and give the place a second go. Mistake.

The salad bar staff have no specific work area so they just run around getting in each other's way. My server gave me lip because I asked for a wrap but didn't have a base salad in my hands. Apparently, a wrap without a tonne of lettuce is weird. After he put the ingredients in a bowl he passed it on to someone else who had no idea what they were doing - the process was about 15 minutes, bit much for someone on their lunchbreak run

I got bored of watching her so I walked over to the till waiting for my food. I got harrassed to pay before I received it, which I refused. Result? Dirty look.

After she finally managed to finish my wrap, she handed it over to someone else, who gave it to another customer who was waiting for another wrap. By the time I caught on, she walked off with it. At that point, I left and I will NEVER go back. Boo hiss.

The cooking style and ingredients are obviously Vietnamese and the restaurant is trying to imitate a Japanese menu.

The ironic thing is that it does not have soba on its menu.

I'd give the food 3 or mayb 4 stars if they market themselves as a Vietnamese noodle bar instead.

Wagamama has nothing to do with real Japanese food, but can still be considered a decent attempt for the price. I arrived in the late afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. The place had a nice atmosphere with live music playing and lively people relaxing at the bar - but not too crowded.
I was quickly seated - though I had to ask for a nicer table by the window as I had been directed towards the deeper-in tables... but I like to read and like the light.
I was a bit disappointed to find out that the crepes I'd seen on the menu at the front door were breakfast-only, but instead I chose a berry-ice-cream dessert plate with real vanilla and berry ice-cream as well as fresh fruit sprinkled on top - and was pretty pleased :)

I also had a coffee - that wasn't too bad. Nice and large, but still good full flavour and nice creamy milk, with just a hint of bitterness to start. This is a really great hole-in-the-wall style korean restaurant. I had rice cake in chilli sauce and it was full-flavoured and perfectly cooked, served on sizzling hotplate.
Be warned, the place is tiny, so it's not a place for big groups of people - but a small group will fit in, though it seems pretty popular, so you may have to squeeze in.
But, it's well worth the time to wait for a table!

To the guy who feels this is their favourite restaurant, I think that he really should get out more.

London is full of amazing resturants, and yes Ed's is good but not fantastic.

The food is very good for what it is - it's American diner food - and it's well done - freshly cooked with proper condiments (French's mustard, HP, Heinz tomato sauce etc which should not be overlooked). The burgers are very fresh looking and tasting, and the chips are chunky as they should (always) be.

The atmosphere is lovely, busy with good service and staff, and cool music.

The only down side is that the food is costly for what it is. You can go to the McD or BG place instead, but the atmos. and freshness of the food wouldn't be as good.

Overall, a nice experience.

I went to Meza Bar for a drink on a Tuesday night. The bar was very modern, lots of big comfy leather couches. Extensive selection of cocktails but also offer â¬SCredit Crunchâ¬ Â£4 cocktails â¬ I had the Lynchburg Lemonade on the â¬SCredit Crunchâ¬ menu, which was a twist on the classic Whiskey Sour. It was refreshing.

The place do fills up towards later in the evening even on a Tuesday. Music in the bar was loud enough to create ambience but soft enough to carry on a conversation. Good place for a date.

We ordered the Meza Platr, Â£19, which consisted of: chorizo flatbread, Salt & pepper squid, Meza hummus and pitas, cured pork croquettes, rocket salad & manchego, and Serrano ham. I was taken to Imli by an Indian work colleague one Friday night. The theme is Indian tapas which suited me down to the ground...I like being able to try more dishes! tee hee. I let Hardic choose as he knew which dishes were more authentic. There were a few that I had that you just wouldn't get in a standard Indian restaurant.

The two most memorable were papdi chaat which is "whole wheat crisps and bean sprouts with vermicelli, sweet yoghurt and mint chutney". The different textures and flavours went really well together. You got the creamy sweetness of the yoghurt combined with the different spiced crispy bits, yum! The other dish was paani puri where you get crisp puffballs and a jar of this tangy liquid that you pour into the puffball and eat in one go. It was out of this world!! So tasty and refreshing at the same time. I just wanted more, it was so good. We also shared one of the set menus aswell between the 3 of us and ended up being totally stuffed. Perfect :D

At the moment they're doing an offer where if you keep the receipt and bring it with you next time, you get 25% off your next meal.
