Great to see a large chain of cinemas which still has ushers! A little on the small side, but on the other hand, the smaller screen sizes can be seen as a plus point too. Staff here are often friendly and helpful, but one working at the box office didn't actually know how to use the booking system, I'm assuming that was just a newly trained employee though. Other bonuses include picking your own seat which you just can't do in Vue cinemas, and a good varied selection of snacks at the counter. It certainly felt like Midsummer on Wednesday, one of the hottest nights of the year, but the cast didn't need extra magic to make this one of the best productions of this famous play I have seen! So often performed poorly by amateurs, or made ridiculous by directors trying to be "different" it was a joy to experience it in the hands of professionals as it is meant to be performed. No gimics, just an extremely well acted and executed production. There was real chemistry between Oberon and Titania, a delightfully impish Puck, wonderful comedy from the artisan players of Pyramus and Thisbe and very convincing performances by the lovers.
