Great service! Quick to serve the drinks which were very low in price, great music. Also had a great set up and everything was nice a clean and tidy!

This was a great place to go and enjoy oyourself. It is different from those usall bars that you would genrally visit every week or so.. It has a large variety of drinks of high quality.. i loved the food and the drink it was wonderful! The prices were reasonable and the service was good.

I would recommend this to anyone passing by.. just take a visit and enjoy yourself and let it all out! It is great and a lovely place with helpful staff/waiters and great management.

One of the most craziest places ive ever drank in, I love it here. went to this place for my birthday with some mates after work, got some gorgeous woman working there. one girl called lolita was amazing, she was doing some crazy moves on the pole. Been to a few strip clubs in shoreditch, i love them all. nags was the same as white horse and browns, they've got a pub element with stripers and you dont feel pressured fromthe girls for private dancing. got to go back and see if this lolita girls still working there. her private dances are pretty steamy as well. if you see her about, get a dance with her. just to finish it off they had a pool table in there as wellwent to this place for my birthday with some mates after work, got some gorgeous woman working there. one girl called lolita was amazing, she was doing some crazy moves on the pole. Nice pub on Petticoat Lane near the city which explains the popularity with the lunchtime and afterwork crowd. Has a really nice feel about it and as it's a bit off the beaten track, not as busy as more central city pubs which can get a bit boistrous. If you want a drink in a trad pub. Good.

Thai food might also be good.

I just had a pint of London Pride, which was nice and a homemade rump burger.

Not sure what was going on there, but it tasted like someone had spilled either MSG or cumin into the pot. Maybe both.

It's the first burger I've failed to eat.

Not overtly horrible, just too strong, whatever it was.

Don't get me wrong though, beer was good, pub was nice.

I like a bar with a good stock.

Hendricks Gin, Grey Goose vodka, Bulmers Cider, Leffe, Fruli, Grolsch on tap and Illy coffee are all good signs to me.

WHilst on the main strip this bar is pretty decent. Usual Brick Lane mixed bag of folks that make people watching a fun thing to do.

Or there is always reading the graffiti in the toilets which carry some serious pearls of wisdom I can tell you.

Staff were reasonably friendly.I like a bar with a good stock.

found this after moving office to Brick lane. Was looking for a simple pub, wiht a pie and beer option. Even better i got Chicken Kiev, chips and beans. None of that swanky gastropub hand reared by monks in the hills Ostrich burger with hand massaged rocket.

The beer tasted great, service was quick and friendly and i got to site outside on a nice cobbled street.

Not the place for gastro extravaganza but perfect for a quick simple, cheap bite to eat near brick lane

*UPDATE: Just went back, awesome service, friendly and once again great food and beer..tempted to upgrade to 5 stars!found this after moving office to Brick lane. the Shoreditch / Hoxton influence can definitely be felt in this little bar, but its tiny tiny size and crowded nature of some evenings can definitely make for an interesting experience.

Lots of different bottled beers and ciders on offer - a pleasing range to suit most tastes. A friend enjoyed a good glass of wine, and had previously ordered food which was tasty and not overpriced.

Definitely the sort of place to go back to, maybe at the start of an evening out - but perhaps not spend too much time later on, as it can get very crowded of a weekend evening.

Fantastic friendly bar, colourful, fun and lively, like a circus. Good beers and lovely food but my favourite thing is to have coffee with their cake made with Ricard. Shoreditch bars can be unbearably pompous but Kick welcomes everybody and consequently their clientele is a very healthy mix and it makes for a nice atmosphere. I was at a gallery space in the Old Truman Brewery last night and after taking in all that I could of the up and coming artists (impressive and a bit confusing), a couple of us made our way to Vibe for a drink. The atmosphere was strangely quiet when we stepped in, but I soon realised that was because there was a young bloke on stage about to launch into an audience participation beat boxing activity. It is pretty unnerving to be asked to impersonate a snare before you've even got your first drink.
Once settled on some comfy seats, we listened to about an hour of AMAZING human beat-boxing by 3 different artists - one of them a girl with a crazily good voice. Again, a bit confusing but very impressive. There was a brilliant vibe in the place, laid back but funky. I don't know how the night progressed because we left when the entertainers did at about 10pm but I will definitely be going back. Oh, the George. It's a mecca for various East London trendy sorts, which is both its greatest blessing and its greatest curse.

As to the place itself, what you get is a (yet another) high-ceilinged, threadbare, artfully run-down space, with what decor there is being an eccentric, boho mish-mash between original features and... well, other stuff. On the drinks front, there's nothing terribly exciting about the beer selection, but nothing terribly terrible either.

But its the George's association with a wide range of musicians and artsy types that draws the crowds - and there's a varied assortment of live and DJ gigs, as well as other events. This means that it's often filled with a lot of really interesting, fun and friendly people. Of course, it also means its sometimes full of prize pillocks.

Of course, even most of the pillocks are harmless (but sadly, not all). Matriarch Pauline normally does a fine job of ensuring an open and jolly atmosphere - you can have a truly great night here. But whether the George is the place for you really depends on your tolerance for a certain level of pretension, the mood you're in and the company you have with you.Oh, the George. I'm torn about this place. Sometimes I think it's a great, friendly and unpretentious pub. Other times I see sullen bar staff and 'workers' from Commercial street.
But it's 20 metres from my house and has comfy couches so it's still OK by me.

The best thing about The Gun is that it's not very nice, so you can sometimes get a seat when all the nearby pubs resemble some sort of attempt to set a record for how many hipsters you can fit in a phonebox.

It's not actively unpleasant, just a little bit rubbish in most of the criteria you judge a pub by. Bog standard beer options, decor treading the line between dull and downright ugly, and a slightly unusual smell all contribute to an atmosphere that attracts a mish-mash crowd of people who couldn't be bothered to go anywhere else. But, you can often get a seat. This is a seriously fun pub. My friends have just moved down the road and we visited for the first time on Saturday for the footie. The front bar has a large tv and beer on draft (the usual suspects). The back room has a large open fire, tv and an interesting/eclectic selection of decorations and wall murals.
The upstairs has two pool tables and a foosball table. It doesn't serve food only crisps, which is the only reason we left 7 hours after arriving. But with so many curry and kebab houses around it's all-good. It closes between 5-6am in the weekends and plays the jukebox when they're not having live music or dj's.
