Fabric - Amazing night for anyone into their music &clubbin by ocundale

I have been several times and everytime it has been good. The music is always brilliant, Fridays tend to be breakbeat/d&b/hip-hop and Saturdays tech-house kind of stuff. The crowd can be a bit dodgy sometimes, but this would happen anywhere in London. The entry and drinks are expensive, but obviously if you go to fabric you get your moneys worth by staying till the early hours of the morning ⬠5or 6am and you can always drink before you get there or just be happy without alchahol like a lot of the people there!! One thing I would say is that its much better when its not rammed with people, as you can chill out and find a place to sit down. It can be a bit hectic otherwise⬦In my opinion this is definitely one of the top clubs in the Uk. I have been several times and everytime it has been good.
Plastic People - by Sami

Excuse the rhyming... but this place just about tops the list when it comes to favourite nightspots.

Quality music abound, Plastic People is well known among dance music lovers as a snug and mellow little boozer which specializes in dubstep, broken beat and house.

Open only on the week-ends, it's a relaxed little place and is much more welcoming than the majority of snotty Shoreditch bars which seem to cater to the plague of emo/indie/Hoxton "cool kids" which are inevitably a dime a dozen as soon as you walk up the Old St tube ramp. Have no fear though, there is no need to dodge stupid hair styles and bad vintage clothes once you cross Plastic People's doorstep - this is a poser-free venue :)

Be warned, though; it's a very dark and extremely tight little venue, so if you are claustrophobic, this is not the place for you. I was here last night for a record release party and I was flooded by long-forgotten memories of innumerable backpack hip hop jams I went to in my teens. Plastic People is friendly and warm with door and bar staff to match, but the service can be really slow due to the crush of people who flock to this little club on a regular basis.

Prices are average for the city, cashing in at about 3.20 for a beer and 4 for spirit/mixer.

Please check it out if you are at all into house or broken beat music - you won't be sorry.Intimate and surprisingly unpretentious, considering its location, Plastic People is one of my new true-blue favourites.
Astoria 2 - Push- Astoria 2 (venue/ club night) by miffy

Downstairs a stage area and large dance floor with a small bar and upstairs a comparitively larger bar in a much smaller space. Having only been on a saturday night i know only what they play at Push. Indie hits mixed with electro and ironically played hip hop actually makes good music to dance to. The average age of the club is about 21 but ranges from 18 up wards. they are strict on id but if you are a student you normally get in for free and a whiskey and coke is very cheap at £1.50. Live music is often played but "celebrity" djs are usually the norm, the inverted commas refer to the fact that "celebrity" here means people from virtually unknown bands or better known ones like bloc party being the more famous. A good night out in an "underground" feeling night club, if there isnt anything betetr to do and you dont have much money. The sister venue to the Astoria nexdoor which played host to legendary club nights such as Frong and G-A-Y for years, Astoria 2 is smaller but very similar. Don't get me wrong, I occasionally go clubbing in GAY Astoria and it's fine, I have plenty of fun but I've never been made to feel so insignificant in my life! We were all dancing in a group drinking but whenever anyone male went past, they barged into one of us without apologising. It was almost as if we were taking up precious space that might otherwise be occupied with a hot man...lol.
