Another charming little spot to satisfy my craving for unreconstructed, old-world London boozers. The Grapes is tiny inside but has a very cozy and familiar feel, even if the atmosphere can be a bit intimidating at first, like you've accidentally wandered into someone's front room. There's a piano in the corner, and they serve reasonably well-kept pints of the local Youngs ale. Comfortable, straightforward and homely. Tolerable pub. Pretty quiet when we went in during Andy Murray's US Open Final defeat. Good range of beers, if a little odd. Show a range of sport and have both Sky and Setanta. If that's all you are after you could do worse, but I'd prefer somewhere with a bit more atmosphere, and a bit cleaner. I've only been here once but really enjoyed it. We arrived after a long drive up from Somerset on a Sunday evening and it was perfect.

We tucked into roast lamb and a very tasty, if a little stingy, piece of pork belly before coming third in their pub quiz.
