I've been to The Breakfast Club on Wednesday night and... What a mess! Waiters running around completely lost. They needed to talk to me 3 times to get my orders. After waiting for 25 minutes watching the chef screaming in desperation in the open kitchen they brought me something I didn't order. The food was just all right. I would go back. if I pass by and see the place is empy otherwise...

I have long been obsessed with brunch. As well as being damn tasty it's my favourite way to recover from a big night out, and the Premisies is my new favourite after an in-the-know friend took me there a couple of months back.

Connected to a recording studio the walls are filled with signed pictures of rock and pop stars complimenting the food which serve as a good distraction from a pounding head.

The juices (freshly squeezed naturally) and coffees are all top notch, but the highlight for me is the pick'n'mix option for the breakfast. Rather than be scolded for substiting menu items, the Premisies lets you build your brunch from scratch from a list of approx 20 items. Everyone I've been with here has been just as impressed as me, and this weekend I had to use all the self control I have to stop myself from going twice in two days.

Although a word of advice, don't order 'Cheese' for from the list unless you want 1/3 of your plate to arrive covered in a mound of grated cheese. Random, but possibly a suitable punishment for my habit of ordering things just to see exactly what the delivered item looks like.I have long been obsessed with brunch. Ruby is a tiny cafe/takeaway which can get very busy during lunch time. It is one of a kind and I hope it will survive the competition with the chains like EAT and Pret who can offer lower prices but not the authentic taste. The food is made from simple ingredients and prepared in front of you. So what is cooking? Sandwiches with Chorizo, Chicken breast or steak, Pasta, Grilled haloumi with roasted vegetables, soups and moreâ¬¦ The staff is working efficiently, helping each other and the food arrives quickly. Albion is a great looking cafÃ©/restaurant/shop connected to the new Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch. It has a gourmet food shop at the front, and a bright and welcoming dining area at the rear with an open kitchen.

Arriving at Albion on a Sunday at midday I was happily surprised to see only a very short queue for tables, which cleared almost immediately. We were handed breakfast menus (it seemed that lunch service began at 1pm) which was fine by us.

Kelly ordered Poached Eggs on toast (the eggs were slightly overcooked), and I had the Albion Breakfast, which came with eggs, bacon (streaky or back), baked beans, roasted tomato, sausage, mushrooms, and black pudding. I threw the black pudding and sausage Kelly's direction, and shoved the mushrooms (which I had asked not to be included) to the side. Whilst fighting through the mobs at the Columbia Road Flower Market on Mothers Day (what was I thinking!), we slipped into Treacle to escape the crowds for a moment and to drool over their cute looking cupcakes.

It seemed wrong not buy a couple to see if they tasted as good as they looked. I tried a mini chocolate cupcake with glitter on top. It was quite nice, but I'm not sure it would make it into my cupcake Top 5 list. Stopped here for a coffee one Sunday afternoon after a browse at Spitalfields Market. Excitedly we managed to get a table out the front, which is a fabulous place for people watchingâ¬¦. shame about the sewerage smell wafting out of the nearby drain.

The cafÃ© was pretty busy, and I had to queue inside for around five minutes to order our coffees. While I was waiting I had a look around and pretty much liked what I saw, though was saddened by their limited cake selection.

After waiting a while too long for our coffee it was delivered outside to us. It looked pretty good, and the milk was nice and creamy, but the coffee was bitter. Nude Expresso is a cool place. Nude gives a whole new meaning to â¬Üspaceâ¬" thatâ¬"s vital to enjoy your coffee. I think Iâ¬"m beginning to think that the Kiwi interior is basically Scandinavian with warmth. Itâ¬"s actually huge compared to all the other bespoke coffee oases in London and like all antipodean joints, expect this place to be genuinely friendly and welcoming. The usual display of superior sweet and savoury snacks is beautifully laid out to entice the appetite.

Alas, the Flat White didnâ¬"t quite cut the mustard, it was smooth but it lacked kick. A second FW was ordered to clarify doubts; much the same as the first; am I right in suggesting that all FWs are supposed to be made with at least two shots of espresso? The two that I had certainly didnâ¬"t taste that way. Perhaps the mildness of the FW is part and parcel of Nude and consequently I belong to the â¬Üfull-on-hitâ¬" of coffee aficionados. Give Nude its due, the FW is the cheapest in London.

i work in shoreditch, i needed somewhere to write in the evenings with power outlets, preferably with wifi and a decent mood about it, found it in this place.

there are labels saying Â£1 for power, but i've been asked once out of the dozens of times i've been there, the wifi is completely free, it is full of hipsters and the barstaff are a bit qwerky but it all adds to the place really.

So so chilled. I love this place.

You can use their internet facilities (it's cheaper in the internet cafe up the road) and it's colourful and vibrant.

I could sit in here and do work or sit outside and chat, it's not too noisy and the interior is unique.

Cafe 1001 is one of the most gorgeous places in which I ever been in London. I'm not talking about elegant restaurants or snobby clubs, Cafe 1001 is a relaxing place where you can listen to very good music, from reggae to house or electro house, and just rest in the faboulous sofas, all lit by aromatic candles.

Story Deli makes a refreshing change to the other eateries in and around the Brick Lane area. It can be a little on the expensive side. However, it is worth every penny and every calorie consumed. I hate this place, the coffee was bad, the food was luke warm and my sausages were dry and shrivelled. When I asked them to heat it up, they tried to convince me that how it's meant to be, they left me worrying if they were going to spit in my food.

Don't even get me started on the sexist, chauvinistic male staff.

Just your run of the mill cafe/ patisserie. Their sandwiches are over priced, draws in local office workers. No wireless and I can think far more interesting places to go to for coffee and cake.

The name of this cafÃ© will give away their speciality! It is a fantastic little coffee shop which serves the most amazing cappuccinoâ¬"s! The outside is really not good, I havenâ¬"t been in a little while so they may have redecorated â¬ Iâ¬"m sure if they did they would be filled to the brim with customers! However once you get inside it is well decorated and has a nice cosy feel to it. The staff are really friendly and take care of you well, they will even sit and chat for a bit if they arenâ¬"t busy.
