Very nice, cosy ambience. Beautiful garden. What is most interesting
substantial number of the best whiskey! Very miles service. Became my favorite
pub. BBQ events are amazing, and the food really good! I highly recommend to all!

It's easy to dismiss this place judging by the area and the exterior. But do *not* let that put you off this absolutely amazing place. The food is excellent and extremely well priced considering the huge roast dinner portions.

We started with the Pork Board and were so bowled over by the included Pork Cheek that we had to order another portion of it. I had the Pork Belly for my main which was brilliant and finished off my meal with the chocolate mouse which was also top notch.

Decor is really nice. Victorian in style, but not cramped like most gastopubs. The extremely high ceilings give the eating area a very big and wide open feel. Service was nice and friendly.

Yes, the service could be a bit laid back at times, but all the local doesn't seem to mind. I didn't think the drinks were more expensive, they were usual price as other pubs.

I do have to defend their food as they do have the best chips â¬ fat chips, crispy outside, soft interior. Â£3 and it's quite a big serving. I like an open kitchen. The other food is pretty great too, i think the price is reasonable (but i would prefer to go a bit further across the street to The Victoria for food for same price), the breakfast menu looks decent.

A recently renovated good gastro pub, which seems to standout a little for the area. In recent years I have only been there during lunch hours, and can't remember what it's like in the evening -- I suspect a lot louder.

The kitchen is partly open without a large blackboard menu of daily specials above the counter. There's quite a bit of seating, some comfy sofas, and dining tables.

Similar to The Grove in Hammersmith, and The Cumberland on North End rd, though the food here hasn't always been as consistent, though still quite satisfying.

Kown simply as "The North Pole", it's a good food option, and somewhere I am sure to visit again if only because it is the best option in the area.

Set on the corner of Wood Lane and Shepherds Bush green this pub is a lively drinking venue. It attracts a wide range of clientelle from BBC techies to builders. A good range of well kept real ales and yellow fizz are available and the food is of a good quality. There are several large TV screens which show the football matches, but when the footy isn't on canned music is played at a reasonable volume. A quiet bar downstairs is available.
The beer prices are probably the cheapest in the area if you don't count Wetherspoons and if you're looking for a boozer with a bit of banter the Green is the place to go. The Goldhawk gets me all misty-eyed with memories of childhood as this was my local growing up. And very different it was too. In keeping with the general theme of Shepherds Bush pubs back in the day, there was always a slightly dodgy element to the clientele but alas, all those characters have been swept away/arrested to make way for a trendy(ish) gastropub. Good, if pricey, food and a fine selection of niche lagers, ciders and stouts along with the big leather sofas from the pub's previous incarnation will make you wish this was your local too. The Defector's Weld pub opened a couple of years ago bringing a much needed late night respectable boozer to Shepherds Bush. The higgledy piggledy layout, with booths, hidden corners and a occasionally open upstairs, caters as well for first dates as it does big groups. There's also a smoking area at the back. With a lack of similar venues in the area, it gets pretty packed most nights and heaving at the weekends. This place right now is the best place in Shepherds Bush where you can go and have a good pint of real ale with about 5 guest ales available at all times plus the good old regular like abbot, directors, pedigree and courage best! The staff is friendly, and the food is not bad at all with brilliant steaks! Go on Tuesday from 3 till 10 and get any steak and a pint for only Â£6.09! I must admit, I've only ever used Vesbar of an evening for pre concert drinks, as I did this Friday because it's a stones throw from the Shepherds Bush empire and it beats either of the tacky Walkabouts or O'Neils pub that is across the road. It is by far one of the nicer options in the area.

This bars claim to fame is that it specialises in the Cuban, rum based drink mojitos, with a few alternative versions of the cocktail using the likes of mango, red bull or their own Vesbar recipe!
They also have a good selection of wine, beers and bar food menu, all at a reasonable price.
You can sit at tables or on sofas, in this mid sized venue. Staff are laid back and helpful.

The vibe is chilled, young and trendy. There is live music at the weekends and DJ's on most nights. I haven't been back since the no-smoking law came in, but the only thing I used to not like about this place was the smoke...

A great French restaurant with a fabulous selection of wine. The food has been slightly iffy on a couple of occasions but it's always good for a stonking plate of cheese. Now I might be a bit biased here, as this place has been like a footballing spiritual home for me for many a year now, but this place is a quality London boozer. With simple dÃ©cor and a good selection of beers, lagers and wine this is a great pub for a pre/post Loftus Rd drink or even to meet up with friends in the Shepherds Bush area. With simple but well cooked food on offer it is also a good place to grab some pub grub, in particular I would recommend the Bushranger or Steak breakfast, whether you are preparing for a big night out or still recovering from one, it certainly hits the target

This isnâ¬"t the best pub youâ¬"ll ever go to, but for me itâ¬"s certainly up there!
