I have to say, i agree with the previous reviewer, cbetta. This is seriously the best cinema i've been to. I am a bit of a film buff and a total snob when it comes to the cinema! Many other films i have watched have been ruined either by the cinema's cleanliness, the staff, the overpriced and stale popcorn or the tiny seats. This is most definately not the case with the Vue! I don't have the smallest behind in the world but it fitted into the seat without any force and remained comfortable throughout! The prices are on par with other cinemas in london, but for a higher quality screen and seat that makes it better value!I have to say, i agree with the previous reviewer, cbetta. The Defector's Weld pub opened a couple of years ago bringing a much needed late night respectable boozer to Shepherds Bush. The higgledy piggledy layout, with booths, hidden corners and a occasionally open upstairs, caters as well for first dates as it does big groups. There's also a smoking area at the back. With a lack of similar venues in the area, it gets pretty packed most nights and heaving at the weekends. When you look at the name you think a lot dont you is the place good enough or not when it comes to fish and chips?The fish and chips here are quite good but not the best and they are not 5 star like a lot of people say.The chips are good and are the same as you would get at normal shops.

ST Elmo is the best fish and chip shop i have ever been to.The fish and chips here are made fresh,the food is made fresh.The owner is a good friendly man and is always smiling.I came here last month with my cousin to order some fish and chips from here.

We went to see Bon Jovi perform at Shepherds Bush Empire a few years back.

It has a very small capacity compared to their normal huge stadium concerts so the tickets were sold out practically straight away and it was amazing to be so fortunate.

The queue starts around the building hours beforehand and then once inside it is very steep towards the top at the back where we were and felt rather dizzy if you're not a fan of heights! It was not a very comfy experience as a viewer but the music made up for it. For those downstairs it must have been amazing.We went to see Bon Jovi perform at Shepherds Bush Empire a few years back.

When it comes to middle eastern cuisine in London, it can either be expensive or of poor quality. Abu Zaad eliminates both of these problems as the food is of the highest standard and the ingredients seem very fresh. The menu contains mostly very healthy options that are good for those who wish to cut down on their fat and calorie intake but still wish to enjoy themselves. The service was also very decent and the people are friendly. If ever in the area and in need of a quick meal, this is first choice. Be it that the food is loaded with things that are very bad for you, the laksa and char kway teow actually taste somewhat close to authentic even though it only took them 3 minutes to make it. This is a fairly modern above ground Station in London. If you need to buy a new car and have heard of White City then this is the place people are talking about. Just check thetube.com for directions to White City from the area you are travelling from. When you arrive, just take the stairs up and follow the signs out of the station. There is a curtesy bus that will take you down the road to the White City motor sale point where you can browse hundreds, if not thousands of vehicles and purchase then and there too.

if you are after a BBC show then this is also the station you must travel to. I would rate the station above average on grounds of clenliness. It is worth noting that as this station is at the end of a line it is rather busy at night and there can be a crowd of rather roudy people hanging around so please take precautions to safegaurd your personal belongongs and self when commuting through this station, especially after hours or on Friday/Saturday nights when this area is more bustling due to its close locality with the london theatre district as well.

The station, as mentioned is an above ground so there are not many trains and frequency has always been an issue. This is stadium is home to the football team QPR.
The stadium tour is great to learn about the history of QPR and also football in general. If you wish to watch a game of football the prices are now very reasonable (around Â£20). The stadium has recently been refurbished and now has a big screen to watch game highlights on!
The food is bog standard football food (Pies,Chips) that sort of thing! The price is very steep though! You can expect to pay around Â£5 for a pie and chips...and dont forget a drink.

Found out about this place from Andy Haylerâ¬"s site. His write up prompted me with eagerness and excitement, good food and booze at affordable prices.

Wow, a pub, great I can dine alone without an audacious stare. The pub proper was lovely, comforting and welcoming. At least when I was there the absence of any big screens showing sports and eighties pop music blaring from tinny sounding speakers was an absolute relief. I ordered a pint of delicious real ale (sorry forgotten the name) and requested whether I could order some lunch as well. They only serve bar snacks in the pub, however if I wish for the works Iâ¬"d need to go the dining room instead.

The ambience in the dining room was absolutely gratifying, natural daylight from the skylights, and tables that were already occupied by a decent looking mix of diners. I felt somewhat intimidated, what with dining alone in this room especially with that damn camera on tow. I suggested to the lovely waitress that, look I really really want to sample the food in the pub area instead, my request was politely turned down. You stay here mate, camera-trotting lonely heart or not, it doesnâ¬"t make a slightest bit of difference.

I was glad that I finally settled down comfortably in the dining room. I went straight for the mains of Roasted Belly of Gloucester Old Spot with roast potatoes, carrots and applesauce. The crackling that came with the course was enough to make me weep. This course was pure straight As, the melting and giving texture of the pork complimented the well cooked veg. Now I donâ¬"tâ¬" normally go for desserts, but the Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream was memorable, itâ¬"s been sometime since I tasted the real flavour of toffee.

Â£15.50 for the two brilliant courses, free bread and tap water served in their own signature bottles, plus no cover and service charge. The Princess Victoria deserves an accolade for enhancing the Bush.

It's a strange phenomenon that you never encounter any Thai folks dining in Thai restaurants in London, maybe like the Italians they prefer to cook their meals at home or Mama knows best.

At least when we turned up at this restaurant in Shepherdâ¬"s Bush we encountered some Thai diners. Like the ambience of the place the owner seemed downright miserable, but he did manage a few smiles when needed. When I prompted him on what I should order, he immediately reacted by saying 'everytink on menu goot'. Abided by a minute of silence he suddenly blurted out 'I like beep salat and today pomflett goot'. And sure enough both the charcoal grilled sirlion strips of beef salad and whole pomfret were indeed superb. The Tom Yum Koong could have been spicier but tasty nonetheless. Finally we also managed to lick the platter of the Pad Thai noodles clean as it was that good.

Thank you Mr Puntar, Mr Owner, for all your efforts and the lovely food.

Forget about the pretentions from the other Thai joints in the West End and the toned down cooking of the ubiquitous ones attached to pubs all over, this is the real thing, warts and all. Was a wonderful restaurant, so many happy memories of the place. Feel like I have lost a very good friend. Had not been for 6 months due to birth of our daughter. We were planning to go this week for our first meal out since the birth only to find it shut and being wrecked by builders.
Even worse news it is now being converted to a chicken Cottage, not too late to stop the licence please go to the council website and under planning search for 270 Uxbridge road
and oppose the licence to try and stop the onward march of rubbish Chicken joints down the Uxbridge roadWas a wonderful restaurant, so many happy memories of the place. food was fantastic! wine was a little rough, but the food was amazing.

the funny thing was that the kitchen staff were taking a stern telling off from the boss whilst we were there, and everyone in the restaurant could hear it!

This place right now is the best place in Shepherds Bush where you can go and have a good pint of real ale with about 5 guest ales available at all times plus the good old regular like abbot, directors, pedigree and courage best! The staff is friendly, and the food is not bad at all with brilliant steaks! Go on Tuesday from 3 till 10 and get any steak and a pint for only Â£6.09! I had Deliverance at a friend's house a couple of years ago and was so impressed with the quality and how good it all looked, but they never delivered to where I live. Then I saw a Deliverance bike around my area a couple of weeks ago, checked it out and it turns out they've just opened a site near me! Slightly hard to find veggie restaurant on Goldhawk Rd, strangely with cow heads adorning the outside.

I've been eating here for 10 years, and the quality is just as good as the first time. The food is imaginitive and perfectly cooked, bringing some real interest to veggie food which even the confirmed carnivores I have dragged there have loved.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the downstairs room is perfect for a group of friends to eat and laugh together. And the crayons on the table keep even the most bored husband occupied.

BYO alcohol helps keep the price down, and if you run out there is an off license just over the road.

The portions at first look appear small, but you will find them all very suprisingly filling - I blame the large plates!

This is a very nice address if you are around, looking for a good place to eat in. Although they also do take-away and home delivery, I would recommend to have your food in the restaurant: the staff is very kind and nice, a great attention is paid to the service and to the decoration, and the food is excellent. Tasty, well presented, with a great variety of dishes for all the tastes.
