The Lamb shish looked oddly red in colour but seemed fine to me in my overly refreshed state. The hot sauce was nice.

Today I had a Donner (partly because the Shish looked even redder almost Tandoori red) and it made me remember why I usually opt for shish these days.
The Lamb donner my server took from the Bain Marie was greasy, well seasoned and had that stronger 'Mutton' smell. There was nothing wrong with it, if you like that sort of thing, but I found it overpowering and hard to digest.

At £3 it was certainly cheap though. The Chilli sauce was decent but nothing special. The Pita and salad were also fine.

Service on both occasions was fast and friendly but each time there was only me and 1 or 2 other customers during my visit. It is quiet and nicely decorated making it pleasant & relaxing to eat in but perhaps the slow turnover means the overall quality, of the meat especially, is below its potential.

'Best Grill' which is a few doors apart on Goldhawk Road may be the better choice for freshness due to it being busier, but it looked garish and noisy.

Overall Pasha is average and I don't plan on making a third visit even if I am in the Shepherd's Bush area.Pasha is a small Turkish restaurant with your standard take-away kebabs served at the front of the shop.

The first time I went here I was coming from a nearby pub and choose to eat in. I opted for Pirogi to start which was delicious, plus a goloncafwchich was antastic. Food was very well presented and tasty, service was very good and we got away with a bill of £65 for two course Diner for two which included two bottles of great Rioja. They also have a great value set lunch menu so you could dine there very reasonably. Nice decor in restaurant. I had the Pork Belly for my main which was brilliant and finished off my meal with the chocolate mouse which was also top notch.

Decor is really nice. Victorian in style, but not cramped like most gastopubs. The extremely high ceilings give the eating area a very big and wide open feel. It serves top quality Nepalese curry; with the right balance of spices; star anise, cardamom, Coriander, etc... And the sauces are rich and tasty. Delicious. However, they are a bit on the pricey side, and the delivery driver is like a little old lady, complaining to us about parking etc., and taking ages to get here. So we thought we'd try the Nepalese in Shepherds Bush as a change.

It was certainly more reasonable; and the staff are really very friendly and polite. However, what good is that if the food is so poor?

We ordered three curries; A Lamb Rogan Josh; a Lamb Dopiaza; and a Chicken Patia. Rogan Josh is supposed to be cooked with capsicum, fresh tomatoes, spices and coriander. What we got was simply stewed mutton in a disgusting sickly sweet cream. The Patia was so sweet; it tasted like chicken breast in cherryade. And the Dopiaza was simply the same as the Rogan, creamy sweet gloop with some onions added. Hungry as we were, we found it to be completely inedible, and chucked the whole lot straight in the bin.

We also ordered Samosas and Onion Bhajis to start. Both were poor. And the Samosas were £2.50 for two tiny little triangles, which we thought was taking the mick a bit.

Everyone seems to think their local curry house is the best; however, being a cook myself, this really was the pits. We're going back to Kathmandu Inn. The service might be poor, and the dishes expensive and miserly, but this latest experience has reminded us of one thing - you get what you pay for,Probably the worst takeaway curry I have ever eaten in my life.

We usually use the Kathmandu Inn on Seven Stars Corner.
