We love this restaurant on our estate - what a treat to pop in during the week when there is nothing in our fridge and have authentic pasta, a friendly welcome and a glass of wine. Or a Saturday outing with friends, especially if they have Italian connections. Last week we took a visiting Venezuelan (of Italian extraction) and she was delighted with the sea bass and asparagus risotto. A few months ago we took another Latino (again with roots in Italy) and he became very nostalgic when he saw the featured region of the month was his family's home province. Amazing!
The whole experience of sitting on a little candle lit balcony inside the restaurant over looking everyone else dining below was fantastic.
Food was 5 out of 5 definately would reccomend and i'll definately be going back.
Reccomend garlic mushrooms or asparagus as a starter and the sea bass fillets for a main. Didnt have dessert but friends had tiramisu and said it was heavenly. The Value was so good i offered to pay for the whole bill (unlike me usually, being a broke student), 3 starters 2 mains and 1 dessert = Â£29 excellent value for what you get, taste is delicious and presentation is great.
GO, GO, GO is all i can say!Amazing!

The place is more like a canteen, on the crowded and noisy Kilburn High Road. I had chicken fried noodles - they weren't the best I ever had but not the worse either. I've been to this place after hearing and reading about it in brazilian magazines.

It's not far from the station, the street is a bit hidden: you think it is just a block of flats but if you walk a bit and turn right you will see the street goes on. And because of this it is a very quiet street.

There are seats outside, lovely for the summer. And inside everything reminded me of a proper brazilian place, not a mega posh one but one where all kind of people go. It also reminded me of restaurants close to the beach area.

The food was amazing, I asked for a Feijoada for Â£7 and a Guarana for Â£1. The menu is packed with traditional food, deserts and drinks. All that in the laid back brazilian style.

They take cards but not American Express I think...

Conclusion: This is a simple but REAL Brazilian place. If you want to imerse yourself in the culture it is a lovely place to go. You'll forget you are in London.I've been to this place after hearing and reading about it in brazilian magazines.

Having just been to China and enjoyed some genuine Sichuan cuisine, we came to Angeles expecting something greatâ¬¦ The trouble was that there were two menus: one for â¬Swesternersâ¬ (i.e. us) and one for Chinese. When we asked about the difference between the two menus, we were told that ours was simply a translation of the Chinese one â¬ never mind the fact that we couldnâ¬"t find a single dish on our menu that matched anything that anyone else in the restaurant was eating. When our food turned up â¬ surprise, surprise â¬ it was the usual western â¬SChineseâ¬ fare â¬ boring, boring, boring. I go to the Geeta every few months and have been going for over 15 years!

The food is generally very tasty although the portions are rather small but then the prices are small as well.

My favourite is the Masalla Dosai which are the best I have had in London.

Unfortunately the ambiance is not that encouraging and its more of a place for a very tasty meal out at a very reasonable price rather than a romantic evening out.

Good value and excellent, solid nosh make this a nifty reliable tank-up grub stop. Word round the campfire in Kilburn is that the Charcoal Grill is King when it comes to no-frills staples.. At the weekend during the day this is a family haunt. With food for growing minds. Overall its not a place that food wallabys or metrolatte mash-ups will savour. Just good grub at real prices in a clean, bright old fashioned noshing shop worthy of Henry Miller. I'd been tipped to the Lentil Soup(£3) and small Kofte Kebab(3.50). The healthy sized soup came with a wedge of lemon, l-o-n-g hot Turkish bread and a mini salad. The kofte kebab also had a good-sized crunchy side salad to keep it company. My only quibble - bit too much salt in the soup, otherwise excellent. They threw in some free Turkish tea which was pretty boosty - overall the two platters were a fine smorgasbord. Meat here is fresh - they chop it up in the back. The sauces and marinades are made on the premises and the veggies are fresh. Clean, bright and bustling - turn-over is fast, but not so fast that the staff are brusque, in fact they're amazingly attentive and observant.. Tried this restaurant after reading several reviews and was not disappointed. Menu was varied with several house specials, all freshly cooked to order. Food tasted delicious and service was fantastic. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in and very reasonably priced. Having read mixed reviews about Penk's the wife and I decided to make up our own minds. Situated on Salusbury Road a stone's throw from the Underground, it's directly opposite the Salusbury, a great pub which invites a quick libation before crossing the road for dinner.

The food was wonderful. We both had the soupe Marseillaise - akin to a bouillabaisse - to start, which came with its own rouille, some grated parmesan and 'a crouton'. Highlights were the scallop bits lurking inside - yum.

Madame had the pork belly, I had the Longhorn steak. Both were beautifully cooked, with my beef rare but with a chargrilled exterior - so tasty, and the pork belly really succulent and served with perfect crackling and an apple compote. Salad, spinach and chips on the side, all given individual attention (chips lightly browned, spinach al dente).

Pudding was a shared creme brulee with plum compote at the bottom. Just the right amount of effort required to break the crust, and not too sweet.

All washed down with a bottle of Chateauneuf 03. Service was friendly & attentive, with good-humoured staff making sure we wanted for nothing.

I've been there a few times. Seen some of the bands play there. It's never been much of a fun time. The music tends to be pretty bad. The crowd is not so good either. The bar tenders are okay, however they only have 2 or 3 beers on tap and not many bottled beers. So the beer selection is one of the worst I've seen for a bar and the bouncer is not at all nice. This is where the underground on the Bakerloo often starts and ends and you have to change onto the overground to get on the Watford line. Actually it's better to change here than wait until Harrow & Wealdstone which is deserted and desolate at night. Better still, if you want the overground, get the through train from Euston, where you can often sit on the train and wait.

Queens Park is a grotty station. It has sheltered seating. Starbucks in in the busy street upstairs which has some restaurants which seems highly priced for the area.

I wondered why it was called Queens Park station and looked on the Internet to no avail. I found a station in Toronto dating back to 1860 named in honour of Queen Victoria, and one in Australia named for Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII. I also learned that Queens Park Rangers football team started here before moving to Shepherd's Bush.

I ordered myself a book on railway station names, Discovering London Street Names by John Wittich. His book says that Queens Park is named after Queen Victoria. I love spicy Indian food recently I discover this place through www.thisislondon.co.uk from the Evening Standard, Restaurant critic Fay Maschler recommended this place, that tempted me to order a takeaway delivery from them Wow, what can I say about this place. The food is simply stunning, top top quality at a great price (especially the â¬ÜChicken Kushbuâ¬" very aromatic flavoured), and a nice change from the standard "British curry house" fare. Great value for money .The portions were a good size and we were not left feeling hungry at all!
Would definitely go back and recommend others

The Grade II listed gold embossed ceiling, brass hangings and working fireplace combine to give a unique and welcoming interior perfect for a wintry Sunday drink. The food's damn fine too if a little expensive but they're slightly let down by the beer selection, which includes Amstel and Hoegaarden but little else of interest.
