Burger King is somewhere that I really do try to avoid due to the fact that I have been to several of their branches and seen some really disgusting things but I thought Iâ¬"d give them another try when I walked past a few weeks ago. This store is rather dim and dingy inside, they need more windows or at least some better light. The hygiene standards in here are slightly better than in some other stores but I still saw a lot of dirt and grime and somebody doing the chips had no hat of so their hair was going everywhere. At least the food was hottish though and the price wasnâ¬"t too bad. I donâ¬"t think Iâ¬"ll be going again though, try a healthier option.

I really donâ¬"t like McDonalds but I was very hungry when out shopping one day and this place seemed to have the shortest queues so I decided to try it out. The food was up to the usual McDonalds standards i.e. not very high. The woman who served me had previously been sweeping the floor before she decided to touch my chips, yuck. But apart from that the staff were friendly and there was a lot of space to sit down because this shop has two floors. The toilets were fairly clean and so was the rest of the shop. The food filled me up but wasnâ¬"t very nice, then again itâ¬"s the same with all McDonalds they never taste very good. I recommend you eat somewhere healthier and tastier but if youâ¬"re in a rush and thereâ¬"s nowhere else to go then this is an okay takeaway.

Sad to report that this place has gone downhill since it first opened. Staff are clueless. Food is average, overpriced, and meager. Last Saturday, salads looked like they'd been sitting out for while. Not tempting at all. The hummus wrap was fine. But at 5.50, it should have been way more special. My friend's pie said it came with salad; he got maybe 5 leaves. Oh yeah, and it was only 12:30 and they were out of most host savories. Apparently the coffee is OK and the space itself is nice and open. It's a shame the food is such a waste of money.

Paresthesia (sensation of numbness) of the mouth is part and parcel of dining at this place. Thankfully this manifestation is not at all chronic, but downright alluring. Secondly thereâ¬"s also the small matter of the Scoville scale, if you thought that the Vindaloo dish was only fit for the chilli heroes; well not here it doesnâ¬"t, it simply turns the hotness of the Vindaloo into the pussycat category. Lastly, discerning foodies who crave entrails and offal, your nirvana is here.

Iâ¬"ve been here a few times and I still canâ¬"t make my mind whether Bar Shu or Snazz Sichuan is the definitive Sichuan joint in London. I suppose that the ambience of Bar Shu is more luxurious and warmer and the cooking at Snazz measurably more authentic. We started with some outstanding Sichuan-style marinated beef slices (a very hot tasting cold dish). The next two dishes ordered were not for the offally challenged; Fire-exploded beef tripe (mild!!) and Special cooked pigâ¬"s blood (think red tofu) casserole (devastatingly hot, my dining companion thought it was very nearly inedible). These dishes were a testament to the chefâ¬"s understanding on turning the acquired blandness of offal into total yumminess. The final dish of Fried bitter melon with green and red pepper was requisite in providing calm and normality to the taste buds after the chilli frenzy. Dishes I also recommend from my past visits include Fish soup with pickled greens and Fire-exploded kidney flowers.

The friendly waiter kept reminding us that this is the real Chinese food and it has no equals. Thatâ¬"s all very well, but methinks Cantonese cuisine is more universally acceptable. I love this place and so should Fergus Henderson, what with pigâ¬"s tail, chitterlings, ears, tripe, tongue, etc.

The Viet Anh Cafe is only 200m from Camden Town tube station but located on parkway seemingly away from most of the bustle of the Camden Market crowd. Three of us dined here and we shared starters of Deep Fried Crispy Tofu and Prawn Toast, both Â£3.50 each. The main courses are "complete" dishes based on protein with rice or soft or crisp noodle accompaniment. I ordered the Beef Pho Soup and the dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. Perhaps 5 minutes. Some of the beef was almost rare, but not quite rare enough on the whole. Still, all main dishes ordered here were under Â£6 and three of us dined for under Â£26 with tea as our drink. It was packed, but we didn't feel pressured to leave quickly. I visited the London zoo recently and unfortunately I wasn't impressed. it seems a lot of effort has been put into making the zoo a very nice and entertaining place for people to visit but not as much effort has been put into making the animals lives better. The famous Madame Tussaud's is a wax museum in London. Nearest Underground station is Baker Street. It is a museum where you can meet the wax lookalike of celebrities and famous personalities - from The Royal Family, Presidents past and present and Sports personalities to famous musicians, Hollywood actors and also Bollywood actors. They are painstakingly made to look very much like their real selves. It is a perfect place to get pictures with these stars. For the historians in you, it has a history of Madame Tussaud and how the museum came into being. There is also a very good train ride showing how London has changed over the years. Iâ¬"ve never been to a carribean restaurant before so this was an eye opener for me! My friends have all been here and have raved about it, so I took the plunge and Iâ¬"m so glad I did! Cottons if a fantastically lively and friendly place to go, both as a group and as a couple. The staff are so friendly, Iâ¬"ve never seen one person smile so much! The waiter had a fabulous sense of humour! The food was brilliant, Iâ¬"d recommend it all! But maybe it was because of the amazing cocktails we had - I would definitely recommend these! Marks and Spencers seemed to jump onto the bandwagon after Tesco Metros and Expresses to try and take on the local convenience store market with their smaller local stores that specialise only in Marks and Spencerâ¬"s food, hence the name.
The items they sell are a more limited edition of what you would find in the food sections of their larger stores and seemed to be mainly aimed at the quick meal type market or lunchtime food type articles. It is not really the place to go if you were doing a full weekly shop but it is ideal if you just wanted a few items or to grab some lunch or a quick meal.
A further point to note is that even though they sell the same items as they would in their main stores, the prices of the items in these sub braches is slightly more than those found in the main branches.

This is definitely a tourist trap but it is equally brilliant for anyone just visiting London for the day. You might have to wait in a queue just to get in but the end result is well worth the wait.
Loud foot tapping head nodding music, but not deafening and continuous music videos playing on large screens. The food is also exceptional and some of the best tasting that I have found in London. Portions are large and costs are reasonable, probably slightly higher then you would expect but this is London and it is a tourist trap venue.

this is definitely my favorie place for doners in special london. the meet they serve is real pieces of meet and not made of minced meet like many other doner places.

you should also try their yogurt drink called "ayran"

plus, this restaurant serves frech food cooked there at very reasonable prices!

here is an idea of their prices:

-doner: Â£3.80
-meals: +- Â£5
-turkish pizza(lahmacun): Â£1.50

they also have another branch on kilburn high road.

the toilets are clean and the staff polite

you might wait slightly longer because of the queue but trust me its worth it!

If you love good beers and enjoy noisy fun places than Belgo is the place for you. The mussels are fantastic and if you like fruity tasting beers than the Floris Mango never disappoints. They have a very good deal, Beat The Clock means you'll pay for your food the time shown on the receipt when you order(between 5.30 and 7). Greek is one of my favourite cuisines so have been to quite a few different ones but this one is the one we come back to time and time again! its cheap at only Â£14.50 pp for the meze and they do a gorgeous greek wine, thisbe, for about the same price. Service is friendly and quick, the food delicious and generous! First course is the hot pita bread and dips (houmous, taramasalata, cucumber style one, prawns in rose marie sauce, plate of small prawns, crabstick, and another one) then a gorgeous greek salad with feta, with this comes a large plate of fried calamari and grilled king prawns. After these comes the meat course - lamb, chicken, greek sausage, haloumi and gammon... amazing. When I went though there were two parties (it was a Saturday night) so beware if you're planning to go there for an intimate date as it could be a bit noisy (though the atmosphere is good). The Somerstown Coffee House is a really wonderful place, recently taken over by two sisters from France. They have hired a fantastic, dedicated waiting staff who really know their stuff, devised a very good French menu and serve real ale. There's a restaurant in part of the pub which is sectioned off, but you can eat the restaurant menu in the main bar if you'd like.
Importantly, the interior is very comfortable and low key without being soulless or seeming corporate. The lighting is warm and restful and the front and back gardens are lovely.
It's usually quite quiet apart from after work type times when it's crowded. Having only recently started to open at the weekends (as of September 08), it's very peaceful then, although it gets busier the more people get to know about it.
They welcome dogs too, an increasing rarity, and always bring over a bowl of water and the occasional snack for my battle-scarred staffy.

We had a lovely meal at Strada last night. We went as a group of 6 of us at the last minute because the noodle place we thought we would go to no longer seemed to exist! We were all happy with what we ordered. It came on time and was tasty. I think the pizzas are good value but if you go for a main there possibly isn't enough of it. I could see my one of my mates looked a little hungry when he finished. I love the way Strada offers you free water and it didnâ¬"t matter that we turned up quite late in the evening they were still happy to serve us and we got a table straight away with no waiting even though it was a little busy.We had a lovely meal at Strada last night. This is the BEST PUB IN LONDON!

OK, you might walk past it during the day and mistake it for a dive. You are so wrong.

Come the evening and this place is jumping. One of the coolest jukebox listings I've ever seen (one of the few bars with one left).

The back room is used for bands almost everynight, and is well worth a visit. Everyone who is anyone on the british music scene has played here.

Even if you don't go through to the back, a great night can be had in the front bar. The staff a customers are so friendly you just feel like you belong.

I went here for the first time as part of the iTunes Music festival. The space is versatile and I believe the stage is probably easily viewable from all areas. The womens toilets were nice and clean although the layout seemed slightly confused a points (especially when they were ushering everyone out of the building.)

The lighting was fine but the sound did falter and there were a few difficulties. Iâ¬"ve been told by many that the bar is over-priced, they are reluctant to even give you tap water and as posted below/quote from a friend, â¬Sthe NME club nights are really shit and truly a last resort for a night out.â¬

This is such a great pub! And when I moved out of Camden, (albeit up the road!!) I knew that this is what I would miss the most. It has such a quirky unfinished â¬Üdirtyâ¬" appearance, far from the minimalistic same old same old that is taking over London! They do an amazing Sunday lunch, in fact all of the food cannot be faulted! Including the sharing platters which I could happily eat alone! They donâ¬"t have a beer garden, but they do have benches and table to the side. Go on a chilly day and sit yourself down by the open fire...bliss!This is such a great pub!
