I've been to this spot a few times but Cafe Rocks was one of my best nights. They had four great bands on then some really great music into the early morning.

No problems on the door for me but we arrived around 9pm which isn't quite peak club time.

We had VIP so we had the pleasure of enjoying the balcony and when the bar closed we found ourselves ushered into a VIP room downstairs in the back with it's own bar and some really cool "beds". Very plush!

My biggest complaint with this place is the price of drinks - Â£27 for a bottle of "house" wine. I've paid this in other clubs so I guess it's normal by London club standards but that doesn't mean I have to like it!

I haven't quite decided what the appeal is for a place like Soho House. For me, it's about seeing and being seen, being able to tell your friends and family that you've been somewhere cool and 'exclusive' and generally just feeling very fabulous and girl-about-town. I was taken to Soho House by a member for a business breakfast. It was desperately exciting not least because bumping into a very famous and very hungover celeb was a genuine possibility.

I arrived having no clue where the entrance was and once located, didn't quite know where to go once inside. It has that air about it that screams, "darling, if you have to ask where the toilets are, you don't belong". Once inside, the dark wood panelling and large leather armchairs were a welcome relief from the grey, drizzly london day.

The staff are as pretentious as the location (abrupt and nonchalent but at the same time discreetly attentive) but the food was tremendous. I was dying to have the eggs benedict but my manners prevailed once i remembered that it really is quite rude and most uncool to order the most expensive thing on the menu. The sausage sandwich was flavourful and you could tell that they buy posh sausages, probably from a farmers market and definitely not from the 2for1 counter at Tesco. Likewise for the bread. The tea came loose, again, another small touch which felt very decadent - and the juices were freshly squeezed.

All in all, a very satisfying place to spend a couple of hours escaping a very wet morning. Yes, it's overpriced and you have to be a member or be with a member just to get in but surely that's all part of the appeal, non?! ok, they dont serve jack daniels but then if you only have a tenner in your pocket and you wanna get drunk this is the only place in central london.

the entry is 6 pounds. however if you go on their website (www.candy-box.co.uk) you can print off the voucher and get cheaper entry

Ok so I am not a gambling fan so why review a casino! because I have been in here many time with my now ex, I wasnâ¬"t a member but could go in with him. Casinos are supposed to be classy swanky joints? Not this one, well ok so its ok and its central (under leicester square) and yes its well run and has lots of tables, but the essense of this place is kind of sad. It isnâ¬"t the posh victoria casino with the chandaliiers and the well dressed people out to be seen more than to gamble, the napolean is full of people who canâ¬"t afford to gamble, the woman who gambled her bus fair home, this is more a culture of gambling, it was just these regular people loosing money they couldnâ¬"t afford to and they didnâ¬"t seem to enjoy it either. I was very excited about coming here for a friend's birthday, due to my friend saying that you could get oxygen to inhale and it would make you more drunk. I came on a monday night, which was solely for students, but I think a few slipped through the net. It wasn't very bust when I got there, and their main dance floor wasn't open due to a lack of people. I feel the oxygen thing was a con, we paid Â£14 for a large one between four of us. The staff couldn't really give us an idea on how to use it and what it would do, and I don't feel like it made a lot of difference. Well i have only ever been to this club on a Wednesday and Thursday so can only give it half a review but here goes.
Wednesday nights at Moonlighting are known as 'Cheapskates', which is a popular student night out. It is always filled every week which is no surprise seen as most single spirits and mixers are 80p each and a bottle of beer Â£1. Any other spirits are around Â£1 i think or maybe more and if you want anything as sophisticated as wine or a soft drink then i think its pretty expensive.
Generally, the music is Indie and alternative with a reasonable dance floor and quite a lot of seating but you have to be quick as the seats get filled pretty quickly.
It can take a long time to get served at the bar in cramped conditions and the 80p spirits dont exactly taste the best but thats not what the point of them are.
Thursdays is known as Candybox and is similar but the prices of the drinks go up buy 20p :0O There is often less people on Thursdays and the music is less Indie and more RnB. Being less people, the bar is less crowded and there is more space to sit which can make for a better night out.
One thing i must warn you about is the tables around the seating areas. They are conveniently at "foot-stool" height but i wouldnt put your feet up if you can resist or you will immediately be told off by the security and repeat offenders will be kicked out!!!
If your looking for a typical studenty night out with insanely cheap drinks of dubious quality in central London, this is your place!
( I'll just add that i've generally always had a good night out here!)

I really recommend this place for a fun night out at a cool, classy club.

Location is great - central London. There was enough people around outside to know it would be busy but it wasnâ¬"t too overcrowded and the queue to get in was quite reasonable.

I went on a Friday night and really liked the music â¬ great mix of R&B, house and hip hop.

There are tables where you can sit down and drink yet also a massive dance floor. It was a great idea to have a huge fan on the dance floor as it really cooled us down after a few hours dancing!

The people here seemed really down to earth and friendly.
I really recommend this place for a fun night out at a cool, classy club.

I think it was down to the company of my friends and the free bottles (plural!) of champagne the desperate guys were handing us! The music isnâ¬"t too bad, although I think it tries too hard. There are different rooms to suit your taste. The room I ended up in had a selection of beds in it?! I think this probably says a lot more about his place than the entire review! Trash Palace is one of the newer gay 'alternative' venues within London, serving as the rendezvous point for a whole range of 'alternativeish' indie 20 somethings who would have perhaps otherwise gone to the park to drink over-priced stella. While usually busy on a weekend night, at other times the atmosphere can resemble that of an MFI warehouse. The music and people in here make this a great night out but if i was going again id go and have a drink somewhere else first .

Fantastic, yet a bit hedonistic! I had a great time here and loved the place!
If you enjoy living well, and rubbing shoulders with the beautiful, rich and famous then this is the place for you. However it can get a little pretentious at times and the door staff can be difficult, but then again if you have to deal with the door staff to get in then this is probably not the place for you anywayFantastic, yet a bit hedonistic! I had a great time here and loved the place!
