Lidl is definetly a good place to shop, especially on a budget! Their food may not be immaculatly presented or be produced by well known brands, but it is usually of high quality and tastes good. They also have a good range of healthy foods to choose from and even a couple of organic options. The fruit and veg is usually good quality and fresh etc. They also do special offers a couple of times a week, usually monday and thursday, where you can get some good bargains depending on what you are looking for! they have a good range of petfood although I usually only buy the treats as in general supermarket pet food is low quality. they also stock free range eggs but unfortunatly also stock battery eggs and a lot of intensively farmed meat (I don't think they sell any free range meat) they do have a good selection of juices, ice cream, sweets, cheese, yogurts, bread, cakes etc though.
