Larosh Kebab Take Away - Popular AND unpopular Kebabs in Ealing Broadway by AliZebu

I travelled to Ealing Broadway station specifically to find out the truth about Laroash Kebabs after reading many conflicting opinions on the internet.

FIRST VISIT: The shop itself has a somewhat grotty appearance. I am not implying they are lax with their food hygiene standards - it is just tatty. The store has an Indian sub-continent influence with a mini-tandoor next to the grill and Curries also available.

The server greeted me in a friendly manner and I opted for a small Mixed Donner with everything in a fresh Nan. They also serve the more usual Pita bread. The meats were sliced from the spit with a rotary cutter!

The Lamb Donner minced-meat mix was juicy but well cooked and of a uniform medium thickness.
The Chicken Donner/Schwarma cuts were crispy and well marinated. The Salad was very basic just undressed lettuce, onions & tomatoes.

The fresh Nan was very nice if a little more filling than pita or wraps and did not harden on the journey home.

Sauce wise the server put THREE sauces on the kebab. They blended together in the Nan Kebab but I detected a slight sweetness from one of the sauces. I do not like sweet tastes in my kebabs but it was not overpowering enough to ruin the kebab.

The small Mixed Donner was Â£5 in the Nan, and I believe a quid less if in a Pita. I noticed they do a Â£1.20 mini lamb doner for lunchtime.

SECOND VISIT: I returned 2 days later to try something else on the menu. The same server greeted me as I looked at the Skewered kebabs. There was Kofte and Lamb & Chicken Tikka cubes. I chose a small Chicken Tikka in Pita for Â£4 The Chicken Skewer was not sliced into during cooking but came out a little dry. The meat marinade (Tikka) was nice and spicy but I still prefer a regular Chicken Shish.

This time I asked about the sauces. The buttery looking thick sauce (I thought it was Salad Cream) next to the Salad is the Garlic Mayonnaise and the herby white sauce next to the Chilli is a mint sauce.
I just had LOTS of the Chilli Sauce with salad this time and was disappointed to find out it was rather sweet despite looking like a nice fresh one in the silver bowl.

Service wise Laroash were very good on both occasions, to me personally, and with the other customers who were obviously regulars.

I would probably not purposely visit Laroash again as I am quite particular about Chilli Sauce and there are top places like Ealing Mangal & West Kebab of Pitshanger Lane (they do a GREAT Chilli Sauce!) fairly close by who are more suited to my tastes.

This place is the NASTIEST place I know in Ealing.

I have had my food rudely slammed down in front of me if I ask to increase my order with another item, the water jug has been literally PLONKED in front of me.

I do not recommend this place in the least, certainly not to anyone in a good mood, who wishes to remain that way. I have no idea why they are so rude to customers.

We ate there last night - a party of nine adults and 2 young children.

The food was very average but very expensive for what it was. The starters (containing many fish dishes) were carted around on a trolley from table to table for diners to select from and taken from the trolley to the kitchen to be cooked. Likewise the desserts (containing fresh cream) were served from a trolley. There must be food hygiene issues here as neither of the trolleys were chilled and the restaurant was very hot.

The staff did not give us sufficient time to select courses. We were rushed as they seemed to want us out quickly, yet we were a large group and in the end spent a lot of money there.

The service was poor - we were lifting plates over each others heads to be served vegetables, etc, because they couldn't be bothered to give us individual attention.

We rang beforehand to enquire whether it was okay to bring young children and was told 'yes yes no problem'. It quite clearly wasn't okay. We were placed at a ridiculous table (despite the large restaurant being relatively empty) near the entrance to the kitchen and bar area, and were constantly 'told off' if one of the children stood up or moved around.

To summarise, I cannot recommend this restuarant for the above reasons. This was an expensive meal for distinctly average food and poor (and somewhat rude) service.

visited this restaurant last weekend and was very surprised with the way I was served! Crew members were smiling and serving customers as quickly as they could - managers were working alongside them - really never seen something like this in McDon :)

I also had a pleasure to meet a store manager - young well manered person - who was happy to sort us out with extra high chair for our child and kept checking on us and all other customers if food is ok

really enjoyed the visit - then we went bowling as McDon is located inside boling area :)visited this restaurant last weekend and was very surprised with the way I was served! Crew members were smiling and serving customers as quickly as they could - managers were working alongside them - really never seen something like this in McDon :)

this place has become my second home. Their food is fresh and tasty. portions are massive. the chops are the best i've tasted.

I must say that i cant keep away from this place, the staff are great, the food is great, and such a great selection. Great tarka dahl - really really authentic. Lamb curry is really great for those who want a notch up from Chicken Tikka Masala.

Suggest taking your time to explain what you're really looking for - Bangladeshi cuisine is typically very thick sauces and lots of chicken / lamb.

This supermarket is well located on the main drag from the North Cicular (Hangar Lane) back into Wembley and Harrow, and so thousands upon thousands of people pass it every day. It has the benefit of being one of the few local Sainsburyâ¬"s where the location of the car park actually relates to the shop (what IS it with Sainsburys? All too often the car park seems deliberately designed to give the shopper exercise, and force them to drag their shopping several hundred unnecessary yards!) This car park is large and well provisioned. The shop is hardly worth visiting on foot, as nothing else is very nearby!

This is one of the larger local stores, and is well stocked with a variety of dry goods and household necessities as well as standard groceries, fruit and vegetables. It is open until 10pm most evenings (at the time of writing). Sainsburyâ¬"s still believe that people want to start shopping at 10am on Sundays, and so the Sunday opening lasts only until 4pm.

The clay oven came highly recommended. I believe another branch in Alperton, and maybe another in Wembley?? Anyway, we went to this on in ealing late one Friday night. In general the food seemed to be of good quality, a good range on the menu and wide range of tastes. The dÃ©cor of the restaurant was a little dated, looking like an old fashioned Indian restaurant; they do not market themselves like this. The staff were attentive, but lacked any real skill to build any type of rapport. I went to this restaurant quite a while ago so please bear this in mind, also I thought the food could have been cheaper.The clay oven came highly recommended. I've only been there a couple of times for a few bits, but I wasn't particularly impressed with this supermarket. It stocked a reasonable range of products, given that it is quite small. However, the aisles seem particularly narrow and the queues were long. There weren't even any good offers or reductions to cheer me up.

stayed here as last time had booked the hilton at wembley and that was not all that great and more expensive than this place. You are near to the stadium, which looks fab when lit up at night and you are close to a tube and main line train station, so you can easily get back after an evening on the town. There is an off licence and mcdonalds near by if you need them too. Over all this place is ok and offers reasonable rooms for a fair price but some of the newer express by holiday inns are better. Usually breakfast is incuded in the rate you pay. This is a perfectly ordinary branch of Tesco's -- nothing remarkable about it. It's small, good for getting top-ups of things you might have run out of. On a recent visit the store did seem a bit dishevelled and the staff weren't over-friendly; but nothing too terrible to report! This place is lovely, it serves authentic japanese food, and most of the customers are japanese.

Food is of good quality, however the portions are small, and over-priced.

Before this cafe opened near Ealing Broadway Station, I couldn't get a good coffee in Ealing. In fact if I wanted great coffee I'd have to head to one of the few specialist coffee shops in central London. These guys have recently taken over what was a very ordinary cafe, and are now producing the best coffee in the area by a mile !!

I tried one of their speciality sandwiches too for lunch, followed by some delicious home-made cake.

I didn't try any of their teas they but I see they have a comprehensive selection of unusual teas.

I'd highly recommend this place, especially if you're in need of a decent coffee or tea !!!!Before this cafe opened near Ealing Broadway Station, I couldn't get a good coffee in Ealing. The Travelodge chainare dotted all over the United Kindom, with branches on almost all motor ways and near all major cities.

They provide a comfortable bed for the night, tea and coffee making facilities, a good shower and sometimes a bath too.

The reception staff are friendly and will do as much as they can to make your stay pleasant. They even offer a breakfast basket to be delivered to your room, but the price for this is quite steep.

Overall the Travelodge is comfortable and well equiped with friendly staff and nice decoration.The Travelodge chainare dotted all over the United Kindom, with branches on almost all motor ways and near all major cities.

I used to live just up the street from Sorrento and loved it for the delicious, thin-based pizzas, the hearty pasta and the cute decor and romatic atmosphere.

It's now changed hands and become Toscana, and I visited last weekend. The 18mths absence has seen a change in management and decor and it's lost that lovely, intimate feeling (though I went at lunch time and it could be better in the evening with candles).

My friend and I both had pizzas and they were tasty, but not as good as they once were. Vanilla ice cream for dessert ordered by my friend came as toffee, but as it was tasty he didn't mind and made no comment.

If you like fry ups, classic cars, bikes and rock n roll bands then this is the place for you.... It is done out with a chequered type decor theme and a silver diner type bar. The long tables mean you have to share your table with others and hence mix with people. They have live bands on certain nights and attract people who bring their classic cars and bikes to the venue. They have their own range of merchandise. They do a breakfast menu, burgers and teas, coffees and soft drinks. Theyb often have an extra van selling hot dogs and burgers in teh car park during their themed nights. It has a good atmospher and the staff are very pleasant.
