Albion is a great looking cafÃ©/restaurant/shop connected to the new Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch. It has a gourmet food shop at the front, and a bright and welcoming dining area at the rear with an open kitchen.

Arriving at Albion on a Sunday at midday I was happily surprised to see only a very short queue for tables, which cleared almost immediately. We were handed breakfast menus (it seemed that lunch service began at 1pm) which was fine by us.

Kelly ordered Poached Eggs on toast (the eggs were slightly overcooked), and I had the Albion Breakfast, which came with eggs, bacon (streaky or back), baked beans, roasted tomato, sausage, mushrooms, and black pudding. I threw the black pudding and sausage Kelly's direction, and shoved the mushrooms (which I had asked not to be included) to the side. I was so pleased when I came across this place, I've been looking for it since I moved to London.

It's a very small space and every nook and cranny is used, even when it gets busy it still feels relaxed and cosy.

It's spanish influence is clear but not over done, the cakes and pastries are delicious. The wine is ok but get here early to get a seat, because once you've sat down you won't want to leave.I was so pleased when I came across this place, I've been looking for it since I moved to London.

I hate this place, the coffee was bad, the food was luke warm and my sausages were dry and shrivelled. When I asked them to heat it up, they tried to convince me that how it's meant to be, they left me worrying if they were going to spit in my food.

Don't even get me started on the sexist, chauvinistic male staff.

Just your run of the mill cafe/ patisserie. Their sandwiches are over priced, draws in local office workers. No wireless and I can think far more interesting places to go to for coffee and cake.
