Wagamama is not just for Japenese food, although a lot of their food is japanese influenced. I recently ate at this establishment with a friend of mine before flying out to the States. It was a wonderful experience. A lot of Wagamama's in London have an outdoor seating area, as did this particular branch of Wagamama.

You will arrive there, be greeted and seated by a waiter/waitress who will then give you a menu from which you can select either mild, hot or very hot dishes. It's not Curry so don't get confused, but a lot of the dishes have rice, chicken, vegetables and spicey sauce.. but it is delicious so its worth a try. The best thing about Wagamama's is that its restaurant style food and dishes for fast food establishment prices!

You can even avail a special offer which is on at the moment by which if you print off a voucher online (simple google search will reveal the link) you can get a 50% discount from your Meal bill. please note that this does not include drinks, just food... so if two of you eat there and pay 8 for your meals each, you would only pay a total of 8 pounds for both meals! split that and you both paid 4 pounds and got half price! Bargain.

If you haven't visited the surroundings of Canary Wharf underground station, I would strongly recommend it as a day out. It simply is the best shopping centre, especially for stocking up on formal clothes for work.

Better still, there are LOTS of Pret a Mangers in the shopping centre!!!

I always like Pret food - in fact they are my overall favourite coffee shop, based on good (not outstanding, but good) coffee combined with excellent food. (I think Caffe Nero and Abokado do better coffee, but Pret has a far better range of food). And where on earth do Pret get their staff? you cant beat waitrose quality although they are expensive,
there food just tastes and looks divine.
not only that but wairoses customer service cant be beat.
They go thge extra mile to help you and will help you find any item.
this store is idealy located to just pop in and pick things up ,
and the the amount of choice is amazing ,where this store stands out is that it also has homewhere so you can kill 2 birds with one stone (a womans delight)
This store in paticular is very clean and simple to walk around it is also very easy to find what you want.

I have been a member of the Reebok Sports club now for just over a year. Prior to this I had been a member of my local gym and had also tried and tested Fitness First in 3 different boroughs.

I love the Reebok! Its a real luxury gym (with a luxury price tag too I'm afraid!) Weekend membership, from Friday 4.30 through to Sunday evening is currently Â£55 a month, for the full week, 5am (I think!) until 10.30pm week days, its Â£100 per month, but safe as to say, you really do get what you pay for.

There are around 160 classes per every week, they happen from around 6am and the last ending at 9pm week days, and weekends, are from around 9am until the last ending at 3pm. I really rate the classes- they are fantastic and a very good way to keep fit. Classes range from Circuit, classes, spinning classes and aerobics through to Ashtanga Yoga, Ballet, Yogalaties and Hula Hooping- The instructors are motivating, approachable and really know their stuff- I have learnt a lot just from going to the classes- its amazing how much you find out your doing wrong and actually not working out at all due to your posture, now I have a lot more confidence to carry on in my own time if I cant make it to a class or decide to workout alone.

There are free towels (not free to take home, but free to use) both on the gym floor/in the classes and larger ones for the showers. The showers are all nicely spaced out, they are power showers, variable temperature, and turn off when you want them to, not when a timer dictates! Also in the changing rooms/shower rooms, there is a sauna and steam room. I think they do an excellent job of keeping the area very tidy and clean, there are cleaners constantly restocking clean towels, cleaning the areas for newer members or there to help you out if your lost! (its a big changing room). Lockers are excellent as you just lock them with a code of your choice, rather then take away a key or card, so you really can lock everything away and forget about it, go to your class and carry nothing but yourself.

There are 3 floors: changing rooms, weights and training rooms and cardio. There is also a swimming pool, it is a little small but the water is not icy cold (very very good!) and the water is UV filtered or something, I think its a way of cleaning it without using so much chlorine. It must do something as my eyes don't sting when I go swimming and normally they do.

The machines are your treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines, ski machines, step machines...and several different varieties I don't know the exact amount of machines in the club but on the top floor I reckon there is about 100.
The next floor down is weights and cooling area. Self explanatory- many many weight machines, and power plates There are many Swiss balls, weighted basket balls, dumb bells... and also the rooms where the classes happen. The rooms vary in size but fit up to about 40. Rarely they will be too full, in fact its never happened when I have been there! It used to be that you had to get a token for smaller classes, but they just made a bigger room and now you don't need tokens at all.

There are also TVs dotted around, and quite a few machines with TV. Channels are normally the Sky News, MTV, The Box, BBC1 and ITV. There are some others like sports channels. I am usually plugged into my ipod (which you can actually slot into the machine and control from the screen of the treadmill as oppose to a tiny screen on your arm!).

The Gym has a nice clean and airy feel, its quite high up so you can see the sky and part of the view around the docklands. Its a nice atmosphere to exercise on as the air conditioning combined with the views, mirrors and light give it a nice sense of calm.

There is also an attached sports shop with Reebok clothing at normal prices, a bar, a drycleaners, a spa and monthly you can also pickup a free massage from the club if you make it to the sessions. There is also a nutritionalist to talk to and you can work out with a persoal trainer for an additional fee.

You can stop your membership any time but have to give 4 weeks notice, to stop the direct debit. If you do remain a member for a while (like about 3 or 4 months) you start to get sent vouchers for things. Nothing mind blowing, but a nice sweetener!

My only fault is that there are not enough classes late in the weekend, they all end by 3pm-ish and this means if you like your lie in, you are left with they gym and working out alone- until the gym closes at 7pm. Also that it can get quite busy at lunch times and between 5 to 8pm week days. I have never had to queue for a machine but I have had to queue for a stretching space or the power plate. Its a good gym and popular, this is the result. I also wouldn't mind the gym being open until 10pm weekends as well as the 10.30pm week days. I can only visit at the weekend so its often hard to get everything in.

I would recommend this gym to anyone who really sees fitness as a lifestyle, not just a part time hobby. It can really make a workout feel like something you look forward to rather then dread.

Wings is a Buffet type restaurant which has been in existence for a number of years. Open from around 12pm-11pm daily, serving a variety of different dishes which change throughout the day. The restaurant also does not use Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) in any dishes!

Food is priced depending on when you're there. For a weekday lunch, it can start at around Â£6 for an adult. Evenings are Â£8.95. Weekend lunches are cheaper, and dinners are Â£10.95 and up. Drinks are reasonable - Chinese tea is 80p per head, soft drinks (fizzy drinks, juices, bottled water, tea and coffee) start at 1.10 - however the restaurant DOES NOT serve tap water (presumably as drinks bring in the most profit!)

However, that said, the food is always of good quality. No Dim-Sum (occasionally there are pork dumplings) however they do serve crispy duck pancakes, salad, ho fun noodles, and a wide range of dishes. The main staples are always in existence - singapore noodles, sweet and sour chicken or pork, beef in black bean sauce, fried rice, prawn toast, prawn crackers, spring rolls, crispy fried seaweed and other bits and bobs! Occasional dishes also appear - chicken satay, chicken with cashew nuts, chips, ho fun noodles, garlic prawns, dumplings, szechuan beef, ribs, crispy chilli fried beef, salt and pepper tofu, deep fried squid, vegetable tempura and there are always plenty of sauces and a couple of soups to choose from. Dessert is always well catered for, with ice-cream, lots of fresh fruit and jellies (often vegetarian, based on cornflour).

Atmosphere can be quite busy, especially in evenings when lots of local families pop by to get some take-away, but the food is always good value and good quality, plus there are always interesting people in the restaurant too!

Service is friendly but generally unobtrusive - and generally not needed apart from initial drinks and the occasional plate clearance. The bill is paid at the main counter, and there is a charge for wasteage if food is left on plates.

Had two wonderful experiences here, lunch and dinner. It can get very busy at lunch time due to the office-folk descending on the place. It can be very nice to sit outside on the riverbank, as that entire area looks great.

Lunch menu was very varied and interesting, staff were helpful while we attempted to choose dishes.

For dinner, I took a few of my friends for a birthday party. They put up with us for hours, and we made our way through each section of the menu at a steady pace. Food was fresh, delicious and the decor just added to the overall effect. Dinner was also a quieter affair (but that said, it was just after christmas) than lunch, but nevertheless I would always go here again.

I've eaten breakfast a few times at the Vesuvious on 139 Colt Street. It offers a wholesome English breakfast (I challenge you to finish it) and a good range of Continental food. I noticed heaters outside. In the morning, a wide range of people come in. People going to work. People returning from work. People with blackberries and people in working clothes. People alone. People in groups.

They are a friendly lot. I was particularly taken with their display of wine. 13 racks of 4 = 52 weeks. Mez Bar & Restaurant is a Turkish restaurant located in the Docklands area, about 10 minutes walk from Canary Warf. We ended up there one night when dining with friends who live in the area.

It is a large modern place, with two levels of seating. The night we were there we were entertained by a singer who seemed to have a liking for George Michael songs. Some nights they also have Belly Dancers. Service was smiley, though slow at times, and we had to ask three times for the bill.

To start we had - the Kalamar (Calamari rings), the Hellim (Chargrilled Hellim cheese), and the Karides (a type of prawn spring roll - well, that's what it looked like to me!)

For main course we had - the Incik (a type of lamb shank), the Mousakka, and some grilled, skewered meats. We didn't bother with dessert.

The food was all ok, but not really to my taste. Itsu, whilst a chain is a chain that is well worth taking advantage of if you are hard pressed for time and need a (sushi) pick me up.

Right in the centre of the Wharf's mall (somewhere between Wagamama's, Waitrose and an array of shopping temptations) there is a designated seating area atop some high stools perfect for people (suit) watching as they scurry on past looking stressed and in need of a Miso soup.

This particular Itsu is probably one that is best suited for a quick pit stop rather than some R&R. The location whilst great for being in the centre of the hustle and bustle of the Wharf, is not conducive to a relaxing 'dining in' experience. What is super handy about this place is its small, yet perfectly formed and extremally efficient self- sushi-service that does not deteriate despite its compact size. Every time i have taken a pit stop here the staff have been not only super friendly, but happy too. Something you won't get at the 'golden arches' (*shudder*).

So if youre in the City and in need of a fast and relatively healthy food stop Itsu is an excellent choice. I would recommend the Jasmin Tea, Edomal snaps, 'homemade' lemonade, oh and the sushi isn't bad either!

The Grapes - Gorgeous, quaint little pub by mif

This historic little pub is so quaint that it's worth dropping into if you're in the area and if there's room! Service is friendly, even the other diners who were there when we dropped by on a Sunday were friendly. They serve a delicious Sunday roast - it's either pork or lamb on alternate weekends. That Sunday it was pork's turn and it was so good we practically breathed it down with a few pints. There is a tiny veranda overlooking the Thames where it is incredibly relaxing to sit with a few mates and a few more pints on a sunny day. All the action is overseen by who I'm guessing is the resident mascot, Max, a German Shepherd inclined to mind his own business while happily doing the rounds in the place.This historic little pub is so quaint that it's worth dropping into if you're in the area and if there's room! I was excited to go to Ubon in Canary Wharf.
The famous river view is quite impressive, even if you are only at the 4th floor so you don't see anything of Canary Wharf that - personally - is quite amazing at night.
The place is not as chic as I thought and not as much as the bill would suggest.
The food was good, not delicious but good. Except for the spicy tuna roll that tasted like... nothing at all! Shrimp tempura is definitely good though.
The bill... Â£115 for 2 persons is not that fair. Considering that we had tempura for 2, 6 pieces of sushi, some sashimi, dessert and 2 glasses of wine I find that the place is definitely overpriced. And they don't even bother to serve you water in a glass bottle...

I've been several times at Chili's in Canary Wharf. More for the location (just above the shopping centre) than for the food. Burgers and fries were ok most of the times but even a lot disappointing other times!
They do a pretty good Chicken Caesar Salad and also their chicken dishes aren't bad.
And that's all for a fair price... I've always spent 25-ish Â£ for 2 persons.
What annoys me most (and that's the reason why it's a while that I don't go) is that your table is ALWAYS pretty dirty and sticky! The other thing is that the place is rarely crowded and waiters are probably more that necessary, but anyway they are pretty slow in taking your order and serve you the food.

Great pub off the beaten track in Camden. Friendly staff, friendly punters, fab food with a menu that changes every couple of days and a chilled atmosphere. I challenge you to go there and not get chatting to someone. As a friend of mine put it, it's got a really positive vibe.

There's also a free access wireless network if you like that kind of thing - handy for settling arguments by looking up stuff on t'internet, downside is you sometimes get groups of people all sitting round a table with a laptop each which is slightly odd.

Canary Wharf is like another world compared to the rest of central London with its modern high-rise office blocks. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants as well to keep the office workers happy. Sometimes I go there to meet my husband for lunch and we usually dine at Birley Salt Beef.

This is a small café located within one of shopping arcades that join Canary Wharf tube station to the Dockland Light Rail (DLR) station. They serve fabulous 'New York Deli' style sandwiches packed full of your choice of meat. There are a small number of tables were you can eat, or you can get your sambo to go.

You can choose the type of bread you want, then meat - salt beef or lamb or roast beef or sausage, and then condiments, such as mustard or sauce. Add a pickle as well for the real deal. I normally have the Roast Scotch Beef on Wholemeal with mustard - but hold the pickle for me, I am not a fan ; )
