This restaurant is certainly small but is most certainly perfectly formed. To be honest I cannot fault anything. The service was great, I think we were served by everyone who was working that evening and we were coached in Spanish pronunciation! The menu made it difficult to make a choice although my other half had his heart set on paella so it was paella for two after some delicious starters of typical Spanish fare â¬ tortilla, aubergines and some glorious patatas bravas. Dessert was a lovely almond cake (him) and coconut ice cream (me).

We just fell upon this restaurant (Maida Vale Tandoori) after a birthday party - it was very local to our house - What A Findâ¬¦..! I would thoroughly recommend to anybody - menu was very extensive, staff most helpful explaining some of the more unusual dishes that you dont see on a normal indian menu. Food was excellent, ambience great, staff super and price very reasonable! I just spent a wonderful week in London and the cherry on the top was Tsiakkos! I spent two amazing evenings there and I highly recommend it. Great atmosphere and delicious food.I recommend the Cleftico (lamb on bone served with delicious rice)(I took the bone home to my labrador who loved it!!) great Tarama,excellent Greek salad with a very generous serving of Feta, yummy hummous. This used to be my secret place in London... very close to home, amazing food and amazingly un-Lodon-like prices. I understand management has changed but the last two times have really not been the same. They pushed me hard on a wine that was not that good, the food was good...but not as good as it used to be.

Nonetheless, still one of the great little places in Little Venice. I still go back... but I miss the old management.[Update... the food has greatly improved and its back on my top list!]

The proprietors of this restaurant are very friendly and helpful. We have ordered take-away or home delivery from them many times because a number of their dishes are good, inexpensive and it's nearby. You can eat in the restaurant too which is neatly kept. Our favourites are crispy chicken wings tossed with chilli, salt & pepper; crispy squid julienne; crispy aubergine; tom yam goong; fillet steak with black pepper sauce; and wok-fried beef ho-fun (flat rice noodles). They also offer 7 different set menus which are good value ranging from Â£10 to Â£27pp.The proprietors of this restaurant are very friendly and helpful. There is a warm atmosphere in this restaurant probably due in large part to the attentive service from the proprietor(s) whose friendly and knowledgeable guidance about what to order are invaluable if you have never sampled Eritrean fare or even know what it is! Can't remember the names of the dishes ordered as we were a group of 10 so we ordered a couple of different dishes to share. But I do remember the yummy food came out in large platters - each had a colourful mound of meat and veg piled on top of thick spongy pancakes. To eat it the traditional way, you tear pieces of the pancake off with your fingers and use that to scoop up chunks of the meat & veg. The pancake itself has a slightly sour taste so it's not tasty on its own. Overall, it's fun to try if you've never eaten Eritrean before. Ok, to sit in this place can be quite a strange experience. The interior are bland and the atmosphere is somehow undefined... What I like about this place is that they use unique spices which you don't usually get.

Daniela's lounge is an Italian stylish looking restaurant. Many Italian macho pictures and magazines and some cosy couches. The food is good- the service can be tricky so don't go if you are in a hurry... This is a really good fun place to meet friends, they open the big doors at the front in the summer but they still have heaters so you won't feel cold. The pizza is great, particularly the pesto bread. For a little restaurant they have a pretty good wine list. The staff are always so much fun, they should be on stage! The Formosa Dining Room is attached to the Prince Alfred pub (one of most unique pubs in London with many original and rather interesting features). The restaurant has been revamped and now provides an excellent, modern eating space with an open fire, mirrors and large windows to watch the comings and goings of Formosa Street.

The food is Modern European and the menu is quite limited (about 5/6 starters and the same number of main courses) although it does change regularly. Fish is generally of excellent quality and they have a globe artichoke and goat's cheese dish that is simply wonderful.
