A year ago my neighbour told me about Amoul's and since my first visit I've been hooked to this place, emotionally and spiritually. I just love everything about this restaurant and deli. The food is really cooked with love. I visit at least four times a week and most days it can get really busy, however a seat always comes up within a few minutes. My favourite day is on Sunday for Amoul's cooked breakfast. Get there round 10am to bag a seat. It's an absolute gem of a place. Highly recommended.

Had a birthday party here a few months ago and even with a large crowd (14) - everything was phenomenal. The tarama is THE best I've ever tasted and the beetroot salad is to die for. I've yet to see the menu change or anything else really at Tsiakkos and that is a good thing. This used to be one of my favourite Indian places. The food was amazing and really justified slightly higher prices. The food arrived hot in large cardboard boxes and the Murgh Masala was one of the best meals I have ever tasted. Then something went horribly wrong. The food now arrives cold, and is so tasteless it isn't even funny. There is no spice in the curry at all. I LIKE mild currys but this wasn't curry. Our last poppadoms could bend so far that I managed to use one end to touch the other. Don't bother pointing out that it's cold because the delivery guy couldn't care. We had not been out in a while and were really looking forward to enjoying a meal in the sun on this gorgeous boat house along the Maida Vale canal.
Our waiter informed us that because lunch service was nearly over, there were no meat dishes available . I responded, that suited us just fine as we are both vegetarians.
My boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict which he orders often when we go out and on various menus it states if it comes with ham or smoked salmon or neither, this menu didn't specify. We both assumed that since we had informed our waiter that we were vegetarian he would have told us that the eggs benedict was with ham. When it arrived we said that we were so sorry but we were expecting the dish without meat. The waiter was really abrubt with us and said that he could not ask the chef to make another one, so my boyfriend had to go hungry while I ate my pasta.
When I went to the toilet, I asked to speak to the manager and told him what happened, but he was surprisingly aggressive and waved his hands over his head saying that it was our problem and that eggs benedict always come with ham, he said it wasn't the waiters problem that he didn't listen to our comments about being vegetarian. I was quite shocked by the managers lack of customer service skills, and told him that my ex used to be head chef at Soho house, and that they always made it clear whether the eggs benedict had meat or not on the menu. Then the chef came flying out of the kitchen in an absolute rage and got very aggressive with me and started waving his arms about. I noticed he had dirty hands, his eyes were bulging & red & his hair long and dirty and he told me he was the owner. I felt a bit ill to think he had actually cooked my food to be honest.
When I returned to our table I heard him loudly go up to the pass and tell the staff how Australians come over here thinking they know everything about food etc, etc. I am NZ but I guess he couldn't tell the difference.
Following that, the waiter came over and denied that we mentioned being vegetarian to him.
And when we went to leave he was standing at the door waiting for us with a print out from wikipedia stating what eggs benedict were! We found it all very confrontational and upsetting. I would never eat here again and recommend to others not to. Its difficult to write a proper review about this place because it can be so hit and miss...its my local so ive been a lot but its never consistent. After years of getting disinterested service at exorbitant prices from the big chain operators, I found this place. Its a small operation, but that means that whoever picks up the phone knows how your job is going. The quality is great, no issues whatsoever. The prices are very reasonable too, they have beaten other quotes for jobs so consistently that I don't bother phoning anyone else. Wonderful local thai, such good value as the dishes are pretty cheap. The food is super tasty and fresh and the staff are sooo friendly! We had the taxin thai starter selection which was lovely and our mains were very generous with big prawns! The duck curry was very tasty as well. I was in Mosob on February 2009 with a group of friends. It was fantastic. First my complements to the staff. Our host was simply amazing. She made us feel welcome and helped us to decide what to eat.

The food is served on a large sour bread so basically each dish you order lands on this bread. You then get extra rolled bread so you can grab the food. It is a very nice way to share food with your friends unless they are very greedy ;)
The bread beneath the food becomes soggy and without a fork you might want to leave it out...

You can easily avoid the Italian dessert. Italy has colonized Eritrea in 1935, that is the connection.

The Skiddaw is a very nice looking bar. It is colored in purple from the outside which stands out... Inside there are some cosy couches and other normal tables. There is a lot of hidden space at the back which I almost missed.

The service was great. When I came in, I told one of the staff that I was waiting for someone and he kindly told me that the person I was waiting for was already in.

We ordered a selection of humus, tzatziki, salsa, vegetable, Kofte and Falafel. They were all equally disappointing. (maybe the tzatziki wasn't that bad after all...)

I recommend this place for drinks but not for food. When I was there ages ago, they also had trivia nights on Wednesday...

This is a great value hijab shop that has a wide range of styles from around the world that will suite all women. There are alot of exclusive designs of hijabs, jilbabs, abayas and more.

The prices are very good and suit any budget. There are good sales.
There is also a nice range of jewellery and perfumes.

This is a really great place and we eat here all the time.
It's a real "local". No tourists here! The staff are about the friendliest around and most live locally too. The Pizzas are brilliant - thin crust but with great toppings. I like the fact that besides Organic Meat and Fish there are lots of vegetarian pasta options and daily specials and they serve till quite late in the evenings. The wine list is fantastic and well priced though they also do beers and French cider too.

They have a big conservatory that opens up in the summer , but we like to sit outside on the front deck or in the small garden at the rear. All in all - our favourite local!

This is a small chain. Food is great.
It is not cheap! The coffee is alright, not great.
Cakes and pastries are superb. The staff is international and friendly. On the tables, you can find an almighty chunk of butter :) I wonder who eats all that...
The breads are lovely and the paper bag which comes with it remind you why it is better to buy their bread rather than the supermarket one with all the chemicals...
Almost forgot to mention- The chocolate fondant was the best I had in London but will cost you £4.5!!!

This is a local food shop with a difference, it has farm food, local (ish?!) eggs (organic and free range) and a selection of cold cuts and cheese (all sorts!). Its posh food shopping at its best! There is a selection of quality cakes, and there are also ready meals (I mean that in the loosed sense of the word, they arenâ¬"t full of junk but are healthy meals so you donâ¬"t have to worry about the contents). The staff are always helpful and it really is a pleasure to shop here. This restaurant is certainly small but is most certainly perfectly formed. To be honest I cannot fault anything. The service was great, I think we were served by everyone who was working that evening and we were coached in Spanish pronunciation! The menu made it difficult to make a choice although my other half had his heart set on paella so it was paella for two after some delicious starters of typical Spanish fare â¬ tortilla, aubergines and some glorious patatas bravas. Dessert was a lovely almond cake (him) and coconut ice cream (me).

We left almost believing that we were in Spain. That is until of course we stepped out into a light shower of rainâ¬¦
