Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. I usually go to Levant but was recommened Kenza which is a sister restaurant. Kenza ia soo much better. We did not book a table but they arranged one for us. We ordered from the a la carte menu we stuck to hot and cold mezze and was not disappointed with anything. Humous was out of this world, we also had batta hara, baba ganush (sorry bad spelling!), haloumi, strained yogurt, falafel, haloumi and feta parcel. We ended with the mint team, fruit baklava and turkish delight we also had water and 1 drink each. Its not cheap bit worth every penny (Â£40 each)!! Huge fan of Ping Pong, come here often, really can't go wrong with a visit here. There's dim sum to suit everybody, neat little portions of sticky rice, spring rolls, steamed buns, ribs, everything you could want to try from a dim sum menu with a modern take on it. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Cocktails are a must! Nice seating areas in this branch in particular and good location if you work in the city as it's just round the back of Liverpool St station. This is possibly the worst place I have ever been in: we arrived around 2.30pm for a late lunch, the surly staff ushered us over to the far end next to the fire exit, they then proceeded to shift furniture around, opening the fire exit to carry things in and out thus letting in a howling wind. We had to ask them to take our order. The place was infested with barflys. The portions were pitifully small. The salmon was overdone. There was no soap in the toilets, and the pushdown tap stayed on full blast for the best part of two minutes. There was a general air of shambolic decay about the place. Terrible service. My girlfriend bought a pair of gold shoes from this shop, which fell apart within a week. They then refused to refund the money or exchange them and were extremely rude in the process.

Love this place! It has awesome coffee (flat whites) and i really liked the selection of sandwiches. Very gourmet, using fresh bread and ingredients. The salads are fresh and i liked the portion sizes.

Ventured to the Boundary a couple of times, but due to its popularity could never get onto the roof for a drink without having a long wait...3rd time lucky we made it. Definitely worth it - great view, pretty landscaped terrace with comfy chairs, heaters and even a blanket!

One thing I really missed about living in Toronto is its proper ethnic food â¬ especially good authentic Chinese food. After my two years and a half of searching in London, I've found it at last!

Formerly a Thai-Thai, smack centre in The City is the sister restaurant of the infamous Gourmet San (on Bethnal Green Road â¬ my friend thinks the food in this location is better than the Bethnal Green one ) named "My Old Place". My Old Place specialised in Northern/Szechuan Chinese cuisine, therefore, lots of the dishes are very spicy. I'm normally not a big fan of too spicy food, but since My Old Place, I cannot get enough!

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend to start your dinner with at least a couple of their BBQ cumin lamb skewers (Â£1 each). Tender lamb cubes sprinkled with chilli flakes and cumin seeds skewered like a kebab, barbecued perfectly crispy yet tender. Also, their BBQ chicken wings are also prepared the same way, unfortunately size varies, 70p each.

Moving on to the mains, they're quite hearty servings for all around Â£7-9 each, seafood choices above Â£10. Vegetarian option friendly. I've tried their Sweet & Sour Chicken, which was okay, batter wasn't crispy enough and it was quite oily. Green onion sautÃ©ed beef was great. A dished called "Ants crawling on Trees" (aka very spicy rice vermicelli with minced pork) was worth getting. Spicy Eggplant was equally amazing.

We did one of those â¬ÜLook-at-what-the-others-are-havingâ¬" and discovered the BEST dish and it goes to "Water cooked Meat" (I forgot what the dish was called in English) â¬ it basically comes in a big porcelain bowl, with your choice of meat (lamb, beef or pork) and Chinese cabbage poached in broth then covered with Chinese miso (spicy bean paste), fresh chili, chili flakes, peppercorns, garlic and ginger. You'd need to get over your phobia to oily dishes for this one, that's where the little colander comes in handy when you scoop out the meat and veggie whilst draining the oil. Order some plain rice and you're good to go. This Â£7 dish serves 2 very hungry up to 4 people (if you want to try other dishes). For less oily version, email me and i'll send you my recipe for it. Perfect for the winter time if you want something warm, spicy and brothy.

As a standard good Chinese restaurant, service is crap but expected. Not ideal for romantic dates. There was one time, the chicken wings order came with one wing half the size of the other, we wanted to exchange for another. They refused, finally we compromised that we don't want that dish and they didn't charge for it. We made quite a scene but because the food was too good there, we went back the next day embarrassingly.

The restaurant has two floors. I think you can book a private room for mahjong, as we sorta peeked into one in the basement. Turn over is quick, especially for two people.

OK, so it is expensive, but where else can you get a real Japanese food in the City? So, they do have a selection of traditional Japanese food menu as well as they will prepare food as they go - if you feel adventerous, but all ingredients are delievered on the day and everything is prepared as you order... If you don't like something, tell them and they will replace it with anything else of your choice.
The restaurant is nicely furnished and the views are great.
A trully enjoyable experience.OK, so it is expensive, but where else can you get a real Japanese food in the City? The only point of difference from our experience to that of Jay Rayner was that there is now a choice of four desserts instead of one. Secondly, I hate it when a restaurant butterfly's my steak without asking.

Walked in, was quite busy. Staff ignored me for 10 minutes, one guy cleaning fridges, then stopped and served someone then went back to cleaning fridges, so I left.

It is just near where I live I wondered why we never go there, now I know!

Really lovely place for freshly made seasonal food. Pod does delicious hot and cold breakfasts and lunches.

I love the organic super porridge or the smoothies for breakfast.

For lunch I go for one of their really tasty salads or one of the hot dishes like the thai green curry or spicy meatballs.

Super tasty and super healthy.

All of this plus staff that are friendly too.

I went to this place last weekend and thought it was really good. I have never really been out in the Shoreditch way but my friends and I were up for trying it out and I am so glad that we did!
The music was really amazing and the sound system that they have there was wicked!
We got there about 10:00pm and it was buzzing with atmosphere and we ended up staying there for the rest of the night.
The staff were so friendly on the door and at the bar. The cocktails were shockingly good! And they had such a selection of them that it was too hard to choose!
It closed at 2:00am but I wish it stayed open later as I was having such a good time!

I had dinner there with a friend and we both decided to grab a pizza. I have to say both of us felt seriously unwell afterwards. It ruined our whole day getting food poisoning from this place and I couldn't apologise enough to my friend for taking her there. WILL NEVER EVER GO TO AGAIN!!

My friends have said it is terrible for a night out also.

For Â£19 you get a walnut salad with bread and two servings of steak and chips with their secret steak sauce which will keep you guessing the ingrediants. The only thing you have to decide is how you like your steak cooked.
The fries were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly rare as I like it.
I was a little bit full after the first serving but still managed to eat the second as it was so good.
Shared a creme brulee and chocolate, merangue and ice cream dessert. The creme brulee was perfect and the other one was very nice but a little sickly for me.

I would definatley recommend this place if you like steak. The only off putting thing is it seems a bit posh and is full of yuppy business men.... But that's no big deal and the staff are very friendly and happy...

We hired this pub for a 50th birthday party and I cannot praise it enough. Very accommodating owner and staff, great venue so central, just the right size for 60-100 people. Space to dance, or talk ; food was excellent, late licence, could go in early to decorate, reasonable priced wine - made for a perfect evening. Fuego, Pudding Lane.
Lovely place serving authentic spanish tapas. We received a really warm welcome and were amazed at how low the bill was when we left considering the quanity and quality of food we'd had. Never failed to have a good meal here. I am a sucker for the yum yum spinach whihc is crispy with a really sweet coconut sauce , doesn't look good but is dead tasty.
