My train of thought went- shops on Denmark Street- generally overpriced and staffed by horrible people, Vintage and Rare have much nicer guitars= problem multiplied!

However, I am glad to say I was totally wrong! Despite having a seemingly endless supply of nice, clean original sixties fenders and gibsons, they are a friendly bunch, and actually, their prices aren't bad at all- in some cases even coming out way cheaper than Ebay. For example- a friend of mine picked up an all original '63 Jazzmaster for £2200...a really good price!

Only thing I could fault it on is the size...it is a LITTLE small, so they can't fit too much in there, but what they DO have? ... oh boy!I'd never been into vintage and rare until recently.
Wunjo Guitars - Best shop on Denmark Street by MGEEK

There are bargains to be had! Especially if you walk into music ground first. For example, a few months ago Wunjo had a sixties Baldwin Vibraslim for £600- and they sold it- in contrast to Music Ground who have TWO, but both priced at a grand. And so they sit there gathering dust ;)

If I wanted to go to Denark Street, try out guitars, and come back smiling, I'd go to these guys.
Andy's Guitar Workshop - Untrustworthy by Cognan

The story is too involved to recite here with such little space but I was lied to and abused by a member of staff here and the manager couldn't have cared less when I appealed to him to sort my problem out. Neither was he concerned when I could prove his member of staff had lied to both me and him and that he tried to cheat me out of my guitar worth £1500! The proof was unequivocal too as they were date stamped e-mails proving the timing of events and what was said.

Eventually I recovered this valuable guitar but the shop kept 2 guitar cases saying they were lost and never compensated me. Through this process I also learnt that they massively inflate their prices waiting for people with more money than sense, rather than giving fair prices.
Soundhouse Turnkey - never again by Frankie123

Not dispatched because they are waiting for one of the items which is not kept in stock as it is special order. It wasn't even ordered by them yet. Another 4 to 6 days maximum and it will be there. 10 days later every email I have sent them has been ignored (even the ones sent to the manager), and when I call nobody in charge is available and staff I speak to does not know. It has been almost 3 weeks now without any answers and plenty more ignored emails. Will demand my money back.
Digital Village is very good and so is Eddie Moore's Music or GAK, (the latter two not in London though, but great for internet or phone orders). Friends did advise me before not to use Turnkey and I wish I would have listened to them.
Don't do the same mistake that I have made !!!I purchased various items from this store by phone and was assured everything was in stock and with me within 3 days. 6 days later I contacted them wondering where my stuff was.
