The ice cream and hot chocolate at this place is brilliant. The price however is extortionate. I guess haagan daaz can get away with these sort of prices as it is located smack bang in leicester square. There is frequently large queues outside which often stretch out far in the middle of the night, often there is a 30 min wait!! Once seated the waitors seem to take a long time to come to take your order, especialy if there is a large group, often I find that they try to rush you out of the place to let other poeple in. I stopped in for falafel this evening, and it was excellent. For the centre of London it is cheap as chips. OK, so a can of coke is about 1.50, but a pitta stuff to bursting with falafel, tahini, crunchy salad and a bowl of good chilli sause was about a fiver.

The falafel themsleves were wonderfully crunky on the outside, and nicely chunky on the inside, not the lump of deep fried hummus or Mc Chickpea Nuggets that you sometimes get. I purchased some Koala no March chocolate cookies, and when I got home I noticed that they had expired in late November last year. This was the same with some Pretz, but they expired at the beginning of December.

While these foods are not too badly affected by expiry dates, it's still poor business to put expired products on shelves and allow people to purchase them. There was some other food there that would be potentially dangerous after expiration. I wonder how fresh those products were?

Monmouth is two beasts in one - they sell really expensive ground coffee and fancy expensive chocolates and apple juices on one hand, but they also do the greatest Americano for only Â£1!

Add a homemade American-style chocolate biscuit for 50p and you're actually looking at change from Â£2!

It's a small place and can get busy with only a few customers, but it's hands down the best and cheapest place to get a decent cuppa on the go.

First of all a few disclaimers, I am not a tea drinker (I love coffee), and I go the Tea House a few times a year to buy the tea for my mom when I go back to Paris.

I like this place a lot as most places in London where you get your tea is from chains like Whittards. As soon as you enter The Tea House you feel as though you've entered this little Asian microcosm. The tea they stock isn't exclusively Asian but they do carry a large amount of tea from this part of the world.

Most of their customers at the moment seem to be tourists, which is obvious due to their central location in Covent Garden. They do have a local group of recurrent customers who come to the Tea House due to the friendliness of their staff, knowledge, but of course their huge choice in tea.

If you are a tea aficionado, or not, and are looking for this unique tea or just for high quality tea you should definitely check out the Tea House.
