I went to see the dark knight here and it was immense. A perfect screen for it. It's obviously well located on the Southbank for transport links, places to eat etc. The auditorium itself is comfortable with good acoustics and a good view of the stage from almost everywhere. Wheelchair users are accommodated without fuss although there aren't that many spaces available. If you purchase the wheelchair spaces in the front row you will have to enter the auditorium via a goods lift and the artist's bar (swings and roundabouts I guess!). You will also be able to use the artist's bar at the interval. Disabled patrons can request parking if they have a blue badge. This is always our first stop when we arrive in London by Train. The Hall is only a few minutes walk from Waterloo Station and has a large bar on the upper ground floor. The choice of drinks is not the best, but being able to sit on the huge sun terrace on a nice day, people watching, is great.

An excellent chance to get over the crush of the train and the hustle of Waterloo. A good place to plan exactly what you're going to do next. You can walk across to Trafalger Square, Leciester Square or Picadilly Circus by using the foot bridge to your left or to Theatreland by using the road bridge to your right.

On a wet day you can sit inside and watch the world go by.This is always our first stop when we arrive in London by Train. Fantastic venue - the best theatre in the UK bar none.

The Royal National Theatre presents world class theatre, starring the best performers of our age in plays by the best playwrights of all time â¬ from greats such as the cerebral William Shakespeare and the gory John Webster to little known but equally proficient dramatists such as August Strindberg (for example in a recent adaptation of his A Dream Play, by Caryll Churchill).

The National Theatre also offers a fantastic scheme for young people and students. Take a look at the Entry Pass scheme for Â£5 tickets to some of the Nationalâ¬"s best shows, in some of the best seats in the house. Also worthwhile are the Â£10 seats in Travelex season â¬ again many of the best plays the theatre has to offer are included. Also, check out the extensive (if expensive) bookshop, including National Theatre memorabilia, DVDs and signed books. Their website allows you to choose and book your own seats, with handy photos showing you the view from that part of the theatre.

The BFI have done an excellent job in creating space to allow a broad examination of what can be accomplished with the moving image. The most amazing feature is the Mediatheque. Anyone can go in and browse through monthly rotations of films, TV shows, etc from the BFI's archive. For free. You can book up to two hours and they seating is comfortable in front of a wide screen TV. The mediatheque also offers free screenings of some of their treasures on the "studio" screen, which I enjoyed immensely.

They have a couple of cafes. I didn't really explore the menu at the restaurant/cafe; but did not that they have comfortable looking, colorful sofas to lounge on and free wireless.

I could easily while away a whole day here moving from space to space and indulging my inner film geek. I have never seen a place like this anywhere else.
