I've always loved Ion Bar, been going for nearly 10 years, ever since it first opened - a great place for music and a not-too-young, good looking, mostly black crowd. It was sad when it closed originally and a shame it's closed again. I know there's been some trouble around it, but in all the times I've been, never a hint of a problem. Ridiculously cool and atmospheric, this place is like a dream. Can be full of society wankers sometimes but there are also some personality gems amongst the regulars. Particularly if you go when thereâ¬"s a show on. Membership feeâ¬"s are sky high (Jon Snow is one) so keep your eyeâ¬"s out for special shows etc and get yourselves on the guest list.
