Rating: 5.00The pub is as you can probably guess from its name a pub that shows live sporting events and games. They have good beer and bar snacks availble. This pub has a big Tv screen to view football and sporting events, such as the Olympics on it. The atmosphere is good, as it is sporting fans who go here to view games and thereisa bit of friednly banter and rivlary going on during these events-but it is all good natured fun. The staff are friendly and good natured. It is very clean and the dcor is good. It is mainly men who frequent this and as it is near a Royal Mail Main sorting office- alot of postmen in uniform are in there.The pub is as you can probably guess from its name a pub that shows live sporting events and games. This pub has a good atmoshere. It has lvely Irish music playing in the background and great buzz about the place. There are friendly bar staff and the service is good and efficent. There is a good selection of beer and food available.The pub is well maintained and clean. it is quite a large pub, with lots of differnt seating areas available, i.e for larger and samller groups. The decor is that of a traditional Irish pub with a lot of wood and pnaelling and dim lighting. It does get very busy and their seems to be a lot of people meeting up for friedns with a drink here.This pub has a good atmoshere. This is a shabby pub, in need of refurbishment and updating. The pub was quiet with retired male drinkers. It still smelt of smoke despite the ban!!! I think this may be because it is ingrained in the walls and ceiling as these badly need cleaning and a lick of paint would not go a miss. They do a small selction of bar food-but could not wait to get out of there and would not dream of eating there, judging by the overall hygiene and decor of the place. The pub seemed to be used by a handful of daytine hardened drinkers, who all knew each other and sat around the bar area drinking-it is really not for anyone who is not over 60 and does not want to sit with people who probably have been drinking from when it opened.This is a shabby pub, in need of refurbishment and updating. This pub is part of the Angies chain I have reviewed another pub from it already and most of the Angies pubs are similar in that they are like traditional Irish pubs with a lively atmosphere and are very welcoming to all. This pub is very small a long corridor style seating area and it does get packed. It has a great atmosphere. Good beer and food is served here. Part of the pubs charm is that it is so small you have to share seating/tables and mix with others and therfore you get to meet new people. The staff are friendly and offer a good quick bar service. This pub used to be more popular in that it had live bands and was packed at weekends. It seems to have become a lot quieter and is more suited to those who want a quiet drink in the afternoons. The decor inside the pub is a bit dull and really could do with a birt of updating or refurbishment or preferably both. The service is good and the staff are very plesant and chatty. The beer is good and their is a good lunchtime food selction. I would recommend it for a quiet lunchtime drink and a good lunchtime meal.
