Really difficult to find and, when you do, it's not exceptional. The stalls are pseudo organic - look pretty but many of the storekeepers, nice though they may be, don't have a clue about ethical issues. Two of the cake stalls that tempted me over admitted, when asked, that they don't use free range eggs although they sell them as "Organic". The trendy air heads that flood through the market really don't care. The vegetable stall was advertising several breeds of puppy - ask any ethical London vet what their views are on the sale of puppies in the capital. They also buy all their fruit and veg in plastic bags while the stall next to it is trying to encourage customers to stop using them! Great that they do but at least ensure the stall holders also avoid non-recyclable plastics! Please, if you must give your custom to such places, ask about what you're buying! Elegant Food Market - Be wary of this convenience store by baronbell

Please think twice before using this convenience store. On three separate occasions i have had to return goods.

1. I bought a carton of orange juice and when i got back home i realised that it had already been opened (not just the lid but the inner seal).

2. Thinking this was a one off i went back and bought a tub of Flora margarine only to find out that it was only half full when i got back home.

for both of these incidents i went back showing them the dodgy produce and was refunded.

3. The third time i bought some batteries which simply had no life in them. I went back for a refund and was told to prove that i had purchased them (even though it was the day before). Clearly i did not have a receipt, an argument ensued and i was refused a refund.

The fact that i have been sold dodgy products 3 times in a very short space of time leads me to believe that they are selling sub-standard items. Be warned.Please think twice before using this convenience store. On three separate occasions i have had to return goods.

Just to be clear, I'm reviewing the eatery that is located in the back of this place. Not the shop that makes up the bigger part of the address.
