This pub has two crowds. During the day, as it's right next to the Cutty Sark it pulls in the tourist trade. By night, it fills with youngsters who just seem determined to drink as much as they can and then try to pull.

You'll find it hard to find a table unless you get in early, but if the weather's nice in the summer, there is an enclosed beer garden which is very relaxing (that time of year, there's a bit of clash of clientÃ¨le - as the local youngsters come out drinking early, when the tourists are still around).

I've seen the odd bit of trouble there, but nothing serious. But it is a place you can guarantee is busy, so if you're looking for a bit of life in Greenwich, this is the place to go.This pub has two crowds. A great little pub, a bit off the beaten track, but that means there are few tourists. The place therefore has more locals in it, and feels more genuine. Far better from my point of view.

The pub is right on the river front, so it's great to sit outside and watch the boats go up and down the river. Afternoons just seem to disappear when you're there. The pub itself is pretty small inside, but the locals are friendly and welcoming. For those of you who are Kylie Minogue fans, she filmed parts of her video to "What Do I Have To Do?" along the river front outside the pub!A great little pub, a bit off the beaten track, but that means there are few tourists. I have always been told not to go here, but i had heard they have changed their image and got rid of the troublesome customers so my friends and i decided to give it a shot. We usually have a great night out in Greewich, and i'm pleased to say it was made all the more special because of St Christophers Inn. I wouldn't say it has anything to do with its religious namesake, especially after what one couple were doing in the corner!! Shocking! The music is loud and they have a really good DJ. The beer garden is cute little court yard out the back and is a great summer escape, in the winter the warm and comfy interior is still a winner. the wine is good, but the micro brewery and imported beers are the reason to go! Always a winner! If you know Greenwich itâ¬"s pretty likely that you will know the Trafalgar. It is a mammoth, attractive tavern that does not look the slightest bit out of place amongst its historical settings. The pub sits right on the river and the views are simply marvellous and this really draws in custom. The pub is always packed due to tourists which means it is noisy making it difficult to converse with friends. The grub here is not great and the beer is a little on thepricey side but this is made up for by its location. The Richard 1st is a charming traditional pub that prides itself on having no TV or music, just the best conversation and a beautiful back garden.

Also known locally as Tollys due to the fact that it was once owned by the Tolly Cobbald Brewery. It also still has many of its original Victorian features.

Young's brewery makes this a great ale house, and they quite often have some interesting guest ales.

Established in 1691, the Plume of Feathers has a lovely tiled exterior and outdoor seating to the front and rear. Inside, the walls are packed with pictures and nautical ephemera, and the fireplace adds to the cosy atmosphere. Attracting locals, walkers and some tourists, the place gets packed and buzzes with a lively, congenial atmosphere. The Plume serves good pub grub, with a decent Sunday roast, which you can have in the restaurant area at the back or in the bar area. Adnam's' and Fuller's ales are amongst the beers behind the bar and the service is excellent. I will give this one three stars, purely because it has a charm about it, tucked away off Greenwich south street is this strange, worn and tatty looking place, step inside and you are back to basics, a pub, nothing more nothing less, traditional hand pumped beers, a selection of lagers and bar snacks. I liked this place, if only for its honesty, sure everything's a little worn, but that doesn't matter, the locals love it for what it is, so why shouldn't everyone else, if you want a trendy theme pub this isn't it. If ever there was a pub trying to keep its head above water this is it. With the brake down of communitys in the area which were the only thing keeping local pubs alive, this one did not move with the times, even if it tried to now i fear it would be all too late. The landlord is a welcoming kind of person, but with so few customers i guess anybody walking through the doors is welcome. The decor is tired and worn, it is a museum to the hay day of local pubs, except the locals have all grown up, sold up, and moved on. Im sorry to say it may be time to shut the door on this one, but dont forget to put the cat out first.If ever there was a pub trying to keep its head above water this is it. Rating: 3.00Like a lot of pubs in Blackheath, this one became the in place to be at one point, on a summer evening there were hundreds of people outside, having a laugh and enjoying a drink, then someone from the councils office of lets stop the fun, showed up and put an end to all that, so the crowds of bright young things moved on to pastures new. What were you left with, well actually a pretty decent pub, not the in place to be, but decent all the same. It does a loverly pint of bodingtons, and the atmosphere is happy and relaxed,friendly bar staff.

This is a real tourist hotpot, being situated right in the heart of Greenwich, especially on market days, in my opinion if you want to get a real feel for the place go in the evening, its less crowded the tourists have all gone away and you get to see it for what it is, and that is a nice pub.friendly atmosphere, good selection of beers and lagers. The problem is most people see it market days because thats why they are in Greenwich, but you cant get a seat outside, because the seats are all taken up by tourists either not drinking or ten of them sharing a coke, so they have somewhere to eat their packed lunch. This follows in the blueprint of all weatherspoon pubs, offering cheap drinks, cheap food, all wrapped up in the usual weatherspoon way. But no !!! i actually really like this one, i dont know if its the location,in the centre of greenwich, or the ouside seating, which is great on a warm summer evening, to watch the world go by while drinking your very reasonably priced drink. At one point in time i used to be a regular in this pub, i would make a nightly pilgrimage here from greenwich, alas no more, it used to be a loverly pub lots of regulars everyone knew everyone, and newcomers were always made to feel welcome, not the best range of beers in the world and god awful lager but the atmosphere more than made up for that. So what went wrong, we seemed to have a lot of different managers come into the place after our long standing Graham left. It would seem i cant submit a review without giving at least one star, believe me that is being generous. If for whatever reason you happen to be in deptford and driving down tanners hill (well it is one way now) for gods sake keep going,I would like to say i have never been in a pub as bad as this but alas i have, never the less i walked in and it was like entering a cowboy saloon where you walk in and the music stops everyone stops talking and they all look around at you, in the film you order a drink and everyone carries on what they were doing, not in here i ordered a drink and thought im going to die any moment, i have never drank a drink so fast, im sure i heard the music start again as i walked out the door.It would seem i cant submit a review without giving at least one star, believe me that is being generous. hidden away behind the theatre is the Rose and Crown: this may go some way to explain the crowd, which is usually a mix of locals and a few having a pint before heading on elsewhere. Recently redesigned inside, this is a pub that looks set to be the only long-lasting 'gay venue' in the area, as others fall by the way-side. I remember when this bar used to be, as the name implies, an auction house, anyway enough nostalgia, back to the point, this is a great place,to meet up with friends, even meet members of the opposite sex. It has a lively buzzy atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks,and if i remember correctly there are discounts for students producing their student card. Situated on greenwich high road,very close to the town center, and covenient for both buses and train and underground. This is another in my list of nice little boozers, situated halfway down ashburnham grove, in the very posh and expensive ashburnham triangle, is this little pub, easily missed but well worth seeking out, good atmosphere, decent range of hand pulled ales, but the lager is a bit of an acquired taste, no popular brands of lager available, I would recommend this pub for one of those warm summer evenings, as there is seeting outside the front and you can sit and watch the world go by.
