Tapas looked like they came from tins... (squid in its own ink, callos, fabada) It's a shame that places like this exist in London! The good thing we ordered spanish ham and chorizo, everything else was very poor. so, we left and walk down to King's Road to La Rueda- a proper spanish tapas.

American Cafe Kebab in Fulham Broadway gave me perhaps the most negative kebab "experience" I have had overall in recent years.
The meat looked very brown so I opted for a slightly fresher looking Lamb Shashlick over the Lamb Shish - the only difference being peppers and onions on the skewer. During the cooking process another member of staff placed some frozen Lamb Kofte in the front display that explained the brown colour of the meat.
When the kebab arrived I asked for lots of Chilli sauce and the server picked up a red bottle (Uh-oh!) and the sauce was thin, sweet and syrupy but fairly hot. Not to my tastes but it did not ruin the kebab as it was not good enough to begin with. The meat was very tough to chew and had little flavour but at least was lean.
The salad was also poor - again hard to chew cabbage and onion. The large pickled chilli peppers were also of a low quality. Cucumber & Pita were OK but could not redeem the kebab in any way.
The chips were quite good though.
Service was acceptable being prompt if not particularly friendly but when they ran out of chopped tomatoes my server made no effort to reach for the whole ones to cut up.

I went to this restaurant for ONE reason - they serve BEEF ribs as well as the usual pork.

I used to frequent a London mini-chain called 'Texas Lone Star' and it was the beef ribs that kept me a loyal customer for over a decade, until they all closed down some years ago.

Bodean's Fulham branch really impressed me with the service on my first visit. A friendly welcome, relaxed attitude throughout the evening AND prompt alert, staff made a great first impression.

The Beef BBQ Ribs themselves were very good (Â£10.50 for a half rack with fries & coleslaw) and came off the bone easily but were not quite as good flavour wise as my old favourites. They are still closer than the beef ones in Chicago Rib Shack which are under flavoured to my tastes.
The fries (chips to us Brits!) & 'slaw were both very well done.
I will definitely eat at Bodean's again.

1st Class kebab house!

There are actually 2 Best Mangals - both on North End Road and I have been to both many times. It has a huge Ockabasi (SP?) a traditional Turkish BBQ/Charcoal grill and the meat comes out better than any other kebab I have tasted in the UK. A wonderful smokey flavour. Their Lamb Cop Sis (Chop Shish) is my favourite with smaller cubes, they also have regular shish, but I have tried nearly all the range at different times.

The Doner is more like a Lebanese schwarma, fresh cuts of meat on the upright grill as opposed to a minced meat mis-match and is truly superior to 95% of doner in London. Kofte is not a fave of mine but if you like a smokey and herby "sausage" of a kebab then you are in for a treat. The lamb chops and lamb spare ribs are excellent as well. Chicken shish is smokey and top notch. All in all for the meat my 10/10 score is no exaggeration - you will not find better, period.
Chilli sauce is good but not always consistent in heat. Sometimes it blows my head off and other times it is not hot enough yet I always have the same amount. Garlic sauce is just fine. The bread is unusual in that it is not Pitta but freshly baked "Village Bread" which is more akin to a huge chapati or tortilla and somewhat "floury". It is worth trying but I sometimes go elsewhere just because I miss a regular pitta kebab. They also do a thick "Nan" type bread but it does not fold enough to roll around the kebab. If they did pittas as well I would never go anywhere else. Prices are not cheap at Â£5.50 for my fave chop shish (Â£5 for Lamb donner) but portions are generous and quality is far above most Kebab places so it is not overpriced for take away. If you eat in or have a doner with rice prices are more.

I no longer live in the area but go back fairly regularly for a take away shish.

A burger place with buzzing atmosphere, great staff and no rush. The Hache chefs gave us the most amazing halloumi side, followed by a Hache burger mexicain - delicious salsa and cooling guacamole. Plus a pale rose wine that at Â£12.95 we thought was a real bargain. Plus we could actually book - it's near Sophie's Steakhouse where you can't.A burger place with buzzing atmosphere, great staff and no rush. At this friendly neighbourhood resto the staff greet many of their customers by name, and serve up some really tasty food. I've been here countless times now, and my particular favourites include the ChÃ¥ CÃ¡ LÃ£ Vong - a lovely sizzling white fish dish, and the tiger prawns in coconut milk... Yum!!!

Very good value, and right by Fulham Broadway, so a great option if you're planning to catch a movie over at the Vue cinemas.

My boyfriend and I went to megans for breakfast. The cafe is really nice and has a nice little garden, we were glad we found it. Bhe service was very disapointing. Firstly we ordered drinks that never came, 45 mins later only one breakfast arrived and still no drinks! My boyfriend mentioned this to the staff who just didn't seem to care -- no apology. They were rude and surly. The food, when it came, was OK, but lukewarm. If the service was good and the food was hot it would be a great great cafe, but i just felt it was really frustrating. Another thing that annoyed me was that on the menu it says a 12.5% Discrectionary service charge will be added. When we went to pay we were not asked if we wanted to pay it, as we didnt, and they even had a jar saying 'lovely tips please', which we thought was just greedy. FANTASTIC place, offering such great food at such reasonable prices. Been recommended by a few different people now so the word is obviously out! A small local independent offering proper food and such good value, with superb cocktails, makes this a real find. I visited this restaurant with 44 colleagues on saturday the 28th of march 09.

We were all apalled by the very very poor quality of the food, the service was also incredibly poor.The waiting staff were rude abrupt, and very unhelpful.
The vegetarain options were so bad it looked like they use tinned mushrooms in the risotto,

I had a meal here this week with friends, we had food from their Winter Menu, which was Â£21.50 per person, and for tables over 4 a free bottle of wine. I had Veloute of Jerusalem Artichoke with Confit Duck to start, which was rich and creamy full of lovely strips of Duck. I then had Roast Breast of Corn Fed Chicken, which again was a fantastic meal, almost like Christmas dinner all in one. My desert was a Prune Fool, a little too sweet for me but i enjoyed it. These are some of the nicest cocktails to be had for miles! There is an excellent range of cocktails and the barman was keen to experiment as well, making up anything you request and some you dont! They are happy to give you a try of anything you are not too sure about. Despite the fact that they really are very tasty, the cocktails are not cheap. Two of us managed to spend Â£40 within 45 no problem at all, but it is always a nice place to pop into after a good meal. Have not tried the food, although it seems to be comparable in price to the cocktails.These are some of the nicest cocktails to be had for miles! The food here is excellent, with a few very interesting twists on the standard Thai dishes. I had a very tasty duck main. The wine recommended was very pleasant and fairly well priced. The atmosphere was friendly and the restaurant itself is quite cosy and you therefore get the feeling that your experience is important to them, compared to the bigger restaurants around anyway. The staff were polite and courteous. The restaurant is on a busy cross roads and you are aware of this if you sit at the window. The meal came to Â£110 for two with wine and two courses, which is probably about right for the meal. We visited Budsara for the third time on Tuesday night and once again ate really good food for very little money.

It's a small place and it's never been really full on the occasions we've visited but the staff are friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. It's not the place for a leisurely meal or a romantic evening but you can guarantee the food will be good.

It's great to have a good Thai restaurant nearby, the Blue Elephant is lovely but is better suited to celebratory dining than a quick, mid-week meal.
