Yes it is expensive. But for a special occassion, it is worth it!

Food is tasty and very well presented. This in my opinion is probably one of the best Thai restaurants that I have been to in London when you take into account the ambience as well. Lovely forestly feel with the pond and bridge and all the plants!

We visited Budsara for the third time on Tuesday night and once again ate really good food for very little money.

It's a small place and it's never been really full on the occasions we've visited but the staff are friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. It's not the place for a leisurely meal or a romantic evening but you can guarantee the food will be good.

It's great to have a good Thai restaurant nearby, the Blue Elephant is lovely but is better suited to celebratory dining than a quick, mid-week meal. Ben and Howard over at Food and Drink in London (http://londonfood.typepad.com/stuff/best_burger/) are on an on-going quest to find the best burger in London. Diligently and objectively they rate each example from outlets as varied as Ed's Diner and Joe Allen, but still their favourite is that served at HachÃ© in Camden - it gets 14/15, which I'm guessing is pretty hard to top.

Well, I'm not as diligent or objective as the Food and Drink in London boys, and I'm not going to waste my time traipsing around London eating mediocre burgers when all the hard work has been done for me. So on Saturday afternoon, dodging the pouring rain, I walked over Albert Bridge to HachÃ© in Chelsea, the second outlet in the capital after the wildly popular Camden branch.

I have often railed against restaurants that try to be all things to all people, and end up being nothing to anyone. You can spot them a mile off, with their huge yet strangely timid menus, dishes plucked seemingly at random from all corners of the globe with nothing connecting them except a total and spectacular failure in execution. And here, delightfully, at the other end of that scale is HachÃ©, unapologetically selling nothing but burgers and burger accessories. A hundred different types of burgers, sure, made out of anything from venison to lamb to tuna (oh and beef as well of course), but still recognisable as burgers, tasty thick patties inside a toasted bun.

I was just on the verge of ordering the classic 'Au naturel' when the Catalan variation caught my eye, topped with chorizo and spiced with fresh red chilli.

The beef itself was rich and flavoursome and cooked perfectly medium-rare. The chorizo added a lovely crispy layer, and although I could have done with a bit more of a chilli hit this was quickly rectified by dropping in a couple of the tiny red birds-eye chillies that came with a halloumi side. There's absolutely nothing better than the first bite into a huge tasty burger, as you work through the crusty bun, past the crunchy topping and deep into the glistening, moist meat. Add in the extra note from the fiery chillies and this becomes pretty much the best burger I've had in London. Which is pretty much what I was expecting, so it was just as well.

From what I can gather, the variations on the theme served to my fellow diners were just as successful. We were particularly amused by the "low calorie" version which came with just as much gorgeous fatty meat but substituted the top half of the bun for a green salad. I'm guessing the brains behind HachÃ© have decided that if you can convince the local Sloanes that swapping a bit of bread for dressed rocket counts as the healthy option, even if you sneak through just as much of the good stuff, you're on to a winner.

In the same corner of the city that Tom Aitken has decided needs somewhere you can buy a mediocre fish and chips for Â£25, it warms the cockles of the heart to discover there are people willing to serve the best hamburger in London for a measly Â£6.50. As you can probably gather, I really loved HachÃ©, with its straightforward hearty food, sparkling friendly service and bright and trendy dining room. Chunks of meal cooked over an open charcoal fire, soft yet flakey breads, and some really good chilli sause, the Best Mangal was worth the 20 minutes on the District Line to visit it. I had a bog standard shish, and it was tops.

Nice to be able to sit in too, rather than the standard collect and run kebab places. What should have been an enjoyable meal was spoiled by charges that made our eyes bulge. The good was good but quite modest portions.

My memory of the event is fogged by alcohol, I expect, but I recall dinner for 12 people being Â£990. The set banquet was about Â£35 but the charges came with 10 bottles of Â£28 wine, cocktails and coffees that were Â£10 a piece!

I ummed and erred about whether this was a 3 or 4 star experience.

Certainly Napule is a charming Italian Pizza place. It is small and cosy with fun decor that makes you feel like you are on the back streets of Italy - complete with fake window ledges scattered along the walls.

They have a novel way of serving pizzas if you order more than one per table. Instead of getting a single round pizza your orders are merged together in an uber-pizza in a rectangle shape. Suddlenly 2 or 3 pizzas look huge as they come on a giant wooden platter that sits in the middle of the table. And 4 pizzas well it starts to look like a monster!

No question that this is a tasty and fun place with a relaxing and non chain atmosphere (a little deceiving as their card tells me they have 6 places in London as part of the Made in Italy Group).

I would have given it 4 if the staff were just a little friendlier...however, I suppose it is being an authentic Italian ;-)

A pleasant little Italian place that has tasty food. Good value and family atmosphere on the New Kings road makes L'Antico a popular place.

I confess to still being a Pizza Express fan. I know, I know - I'm also sympathetic to the rumours that the pizzas are smaller and I know that they arn't as good as the pizzas you have eaten in Italy. However, in my book a pizza express pizza is pretty darn tasty and I admit to eating them every now and then.

I have been going to this one since it opened (cripes when was that - must be decades ago) and as Pizza Expresses go this is a nice and spacious layout (the one in Victoria is cramped and the one in Fulham Broadway's shopping centre feels totally soulless). This is a great restaurant for dim sum at lunch. There's normally a wait for tables at the weekends so it's good to get there before one. The dim sum is very authentic. I am an absolute fan of sushis and I think that when a sushi restaurant manager sees me coming in, he is delighted. I am about to make their day. Anyway, the Yo! Sushi chain is a classical in the London landscape, with a great diversity of sushis, in a vibrant environment. Not very original nor authentic, although most of their chefs are Japanese, but you cannot criticize the food. It is fresh and tasty. The venue in Fulham is extremly convenient as it is right next to the cinema, so you can treat yourself in many manners on a night out. Pricewise... It can be expensive but if you control yourself it's alright, especially when they publish their offers. Always worth peeping on their website or on Handbag.com for voucher. I saw this place on Trusted Places and although I have walked past it many times, I had never noted that it was a Vietnamese resturant. Thanks for pointing that out guys... :)

I feel as though I (or should I say we) have discovered a little gem.

Trip 1: Dinner on Thursday night
We (2 girls with a good appitite) arrived at 7:30 to a fairly quiet resturant. The staff were very attentive and allowed us to poor over the menu for an extended amount of time. Still undecided on what to order due to so many good options, we opted to share some crispy duck pancakes to start (about Â£6.40 for 1/4 duck) while we munched on the delicious entree we took the opportunity to watch other peoples dishes go by. Just when we had almost decided on our order we saw some cripsy noodles go past and decided since it looked huge, that we'd share that after realising how filling our entree was. We were delighted with our choice.. crispy beef noodles (approx Â£5.??) - although the serve was not as generous as I first thought we were stuffed and left very satisfied.

Trip 2: Dinner on Friday night
After such a good experinece the night before, I just had to go back to Huy Hoang again and try some of my favourite Vietnamese dishes... it was a lot busier and by the time we left the resturant was near full but the staff still delivered great service. We ordered some fried mushrooms (approximately Â£2.80) to start (picture to follow at some point), and a pork and prawn golden pancake (approx Â£5.40) both delishous.. For our mains I ordered a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup with beef (Approx Â£5.30 for a large).. which I decided would be the comparison dish... and they passed with flying colours.. it was maybe a bit small but full of flavour and a fresh lift. We also ordered a main of chicken cooked with lemongrass and chilli (approx Â£5.40 + Â£1.80 for rice) this dish was also fantastic... with amazing flavours.

In summary, if I had to make a complaint about this place it would only be that the servings appear small (but somehow always fill you up). The tables for two are a bit small too. That aside, although the prices are slightly more than what you pay around Old Street, I definitley think its worth it for those in the SW area who don't want to hike across town for some scummy food.

I am a regular at the Fulham branch of this lovely Spanish restaurant. The menu is far beyond the usual bland 'tapas' on offer in London but is actually the real thing. The ingredients are always fresh and traditional, if you are a seafood or steak lover the ala carte menu is a MUST!

The staff are not only friendly but well informed on the wines and specialities. The diners are a real variety, with locals, corporate entertainment, families, couples or parties you always have a laid back atmosphere that encourages you to stay and have late after dinner drinks.

I must say though, the branch in clapham common sadly doesnt match food quality wise and is more of a tapas and lets get drunk and dance attitude, yet the staff are just as welcoming and helpful.I am a regular at the Fulham branch of this lovely Spanish restaurant. Firstly, if you are not a Chelsea or football fan, avoid this place like the plague on match days! If you are a fan it's very handy as they show a lot of the games on the big screens and it gets heaving with the loyal Blue's fans.

Otherwise, it's nice bar with a good mixed crowd, though I really can't stand the retro decor they have used in this bar and its sister venues such as Living...
It's quite small but not so small you feel trapped.

On sunny days its lovely to be outside and watch all the beautiful people wander by and show off the 150k cars.

Firstly, if you are not a Chelsea or football fan, avoid this place like the plague on match days! If you are a fan it's very handy as they show a lot of the games on the big screens and it gets heaving with the loyal Blue's fans.

Otherwise, it's nice bar with a good mixed crowd, though I really can't stand the retro decor they have used in this bar and its sister venues such as Living...
It's quite small but not so small you feel trapped.

On sunny days its lovely to be outside and watch all the beautiful people wander by and show off the 150k cars.
