From the outside, and the inside, this place looks a little rough and ready. I was concerned about using it on the first couple of occasions. That and the cheapo items such as the pies and jars of pickles looked bad.

However, the meat here is very good. I have never been disappointed by the quality of the beef, pork, chicken and lamb. The rabbit is lovely.

My only complaint is that they could sell a little more game meat - such a pigeon or pheasant. I've only been there a couple of times for a few bits, but I wasn't particularly impressed with this supermarket. It stocked a reasonable range of products, given that it is quite small. However, the aisles seem particularly narrow and the queues were long. There weren't even any good offers or reductions to cheer me up.

I got the cake for my son's christening from here. I found the staff very helpful and friendly, and the cake itself was nicely made. It came with lots of glitter and silver balls as well which wouldn't have been quite what I'd expected, but then again I left the design to them! It was reasonably priced too, for a large cake.

We also tried some of their 'normal' cakes and sausage rolls (rude not to when popping in to order!) and they were also good.

Nice little branch of Sainsbury's, which has a good range of all the basics, plus the odd more interesting item. The fruit and veg offer is good for a shop this size and the staff are friendly, although the queues can be long on a Saturday morning. This is a perfectly ordinary branch of Tesco's -- nothing remarkable about it. It's small, good for getting top-ups of things you might have run out of. On a recent visit the store did seem a bit dishevelled and the staff weren't over-friendly; but nothing too terrible to report! I tend to shop here on a daily basis for esentials but will not give my trade to this establishment any longer. I have witnessed the out of date bread ties being removed and plain yellow tape put back on the out of date bread and put back on the shelf. Watch out if you buy fresh veg, it is weighed and a figure is put into the till which you will never know the price charged, a request for a recipt is treated as "DON'T YOU TRUST US" attitude. Watch your change (especially O.A.P.'s). Fresh milk tends to cruddle by the next day and when returned it I was told I have to check that it's fresh before I buy it... (although in date).
